Wow! The sound is incredible, don't get that from an ev! A bad day at the track is still better than a good day at the office, this was not a bad day! 😎
I have "raced" against one of these cars. We were in the same group, but much different classes. For those familiar with SCCA's Formula Atlantic (JDR); one was just barely able to keep pace with a guy in one of these in short spurts. Also the guy was taking his Wolf out for one of the first few times; so he'll only get faster. Race video (from my car) here ->ruclips.net/video/FDMTs63HxZM/видео.html & ruclips.net/video/-so1yQvMYNI/видео.html. This Wolf Extreme car does sound and perform at epic levels though. I like the sound of the SCCA formula cars, but they sounded silly next to this thing. The SCCA wasn't sure how to class it and it might still change next year. A grid full of them would be a sight to see.
Imagine an IMSA/FIA-level series with prototypes like these with these engines. Far cheaper than hypercars and way more entertaining to watch. Wishful thinking though
Not sure what it was but the first 10 seconds of this video looked exactly like it was CGI. Looked almost too perfect in the lighting and textures and dynamic range. Hard to describe but ya.

Just as an info, LMP2 pole in ELMS this year was 1.38.032, done with air restrictors on the engine as per 2022 regulations. This car did around 1.39.5 in Monza. It should be clear that Monza is a track without a lot of corners with high G lat…
@@fabriziobonetti7224 so it’s slower. Must be less effective aero and just a generally less effective suspension, chassis and braking set up. Is suspect this thing is less than half the price of an LMP2 car, so this makes sense
@@napalmhotdog4365 yep, that’s what I was trying to explain. Car is for sure slower for everything you are talking about. I don’t think it’s equipped with carbon brakes like LMP2. Still 1.39 in Monza is a laptime not all the cars can achieve, but we should compare them in tracks like Spa or Barcelona for a better comparison
Great sound. Although I am somewhat confused by it. The halo suggest recent built, but the tires dimensions suggest 70s or 80s built. Unless it is an optical illusion caused by the painting, the front tires look a lot smaller than the backs.

After looking it up, a guy in Italy purchased the rights to Walter Wolf racing in 2009 so it is legally the same

It weighs about half a Miata!
A lot of race cars are surprisingly small. The first time I saw an LMP1 car in person I was shocked at how tiny it was.

Is this sort of LMP2 level pace? Or slower or faster?
I'd expect it to be faster, same power but well over 300kg's lighter
