Aren't you supposed to remove the SSD sticker before assembling the heatsink? Or is it all the same?
The sticker on the ssd? No thats also a heat dissapating label.
The sticker is a mini heatsink in itself for those too stubborn to actually use a heatsink 😂
Does upgrading the SSD yourself void the warranty?
No
Wow, what a terrible angle and a rushed job when actually putting the new drive in.
Cover, or no cover?
When will the public update come out?
Usually like a month or two later.
He talks as if this is like deactivating a bomb...
There's nothing to be afraid of and it isn't a difficult task, especially if you've upgraded the internal drives for PS3, PS4 & PC.
This is not an SSD upgrade. This is adding an SSD for storage. False title, and the presenter did not clarify. Thumb down.
Why do u need a heatsink on ssd??
because its self-producing its own heat while in use on the PS5
Because they get bloody hot.
What is heatsink?
is this still a beta
Thank you.🙏🏾
This is an upgrade, where is the original drive?
Terrible design to assume that the majority of your ps5 customers are gonna have no idea nor want to. Lol imagine the kid trying to explain this to his parents.
They're not assuming anything, it's an option. Do it if you want.
@@TheGoncas2 yea lol and void your warranty if it Bricks your console
@@BTMaverick707 anybody who bricks their console over this was doing something wrong and get no sympathy from me. There's a lot of failsafes with components that actually not doing anything wrong shouldn't cause any damage unless something was already faulty in the first place
@@Shadowespeon17 Regardless it's poor design.
@@BTMaverick707 adding an SSD won't brick your console, worst case is your ps5 won't recognize the drive due to incompatibility.
No wonder why there's dozens of videos labeled as guides explaining something so simple that takes less than 5 mins
So now you have 1tb and 600 gb storage right so this is not a replacement
1000 jokes about getting a ps5 first! So original!
Ikr they're all bots
dont know why they dont ship with at least 1 TB. dont they want people to buy more games? its annoying when games are super huge these days can only fit like 4 large games or less
If the loading times were identical between the built in storage and the new M2 drive, What is the point in upgrading to the SSD Drive with heatsink??
So you're saying that I'll be praying an extra $300 on top of the 500 for the PlayStation. Can someone explain exactly what this is supposed to do, speed uploading times or something.
Bro. It’s adding more memory lol
You should make it clear that it's the bottom part
Just bought the Viper VP4300 M.2 SSD, fastest read/write speeds on market(at moment of wiring this). Let’s goooo beta testers, I’m ready for this update!
So what is the point then more storage ?
More storage lol what more could you want.
When is the official build releasing? I'd like to get a 2TB drive...
someone said by fall of this year wd black
@@chazslater3465 thanks...
Beta Softwear end October so before then,
How do you know if you need a heat sink?
It looks very thin and flat and does not say “with heat sink”
So do you get the use of the old internal ssd plus the new upgraded? Or will you only be able to use the new WD installed?
What would be the appeal of this? For more storage or?
Who knows
