Thanks Izotope, for making it easier for me to focus on music, and still having fun mixing and mastering.
Izotope is bad ass. Same with native instruments.
@music theory learner they have amazing tools and sound libraries to create awesome tracks.
@@matthewchavezm.b.s5503 don't forget Arturia !!
When the presenter matches his room lighting to the product color being discussed, you know you are going to get attention to detail in the video. Thanks for including the oscilloscope, that is the feature I have been waiting for. Another excellent video - thank you.
And I thought nobody would notice the colour matching ;).
Agreed lol
@@ManchesterMusic Shirt colors too. Great tutorials on the whole suite, purchased it and going through these now!
My sentiments exactly. It's so good! Haha
Thanks to the partnership with Native instruments, I am now part of the Izotope team, and I am very happy with that.
Not only is the capability of both Neutron and Ozone really amazing, but the UI is both intuitive and gorgeous to look at. These tools are a real joy to work with!
ive only been using it for a day and my mind is blown at its vast capabilties. it truly is alchemical and intuitive, when combined with ozone advanced
I’m amazed how rich this package is
Thanks for the videos you produce to teach us how to maximise our benefits with music production suite
Thank you so much!!! Just had this tutorial on one monitor while working with Neutron on the other and I am thoroughly familiar with it now. This tutorial is absolute fire
Mixing with Skynet has never felt so good but jokes aside this should be considered as an award winning software what a game changer.
Subscribed to your bundle. I am an very early user of Adobe and stuck with them because I saw the potential. Hopefully YOU GUYS are the future of audio. SAVE MY EARS PLEASE!
This is a fantastic tutorial of a complex/simple product. Thank you.
Thanks for this video. Neutron has so many features and it can be as simple or detailed as I like. Thanks for showing us around
I really appreciate the detailed and well structured presentation in this video. Thanks for making this excellent tutorial.
Awesome insight. I just purchased Neutron 4. Can't wait to get started with it!
Being able to engage the "Neutron Assistant" for every track at once (after setting up any necessary sidechains) would be amazing.
Also, having the "mix assistant" (in the visual mixer) set a basic hp/lp filter on each track would be super useful for getting a quick starting point.
Excellent suggestions, fully agree. AFAIK, in FL studio there is no way to add Neutron (or any plugin for that matter) onto multiple buses at once, unless I'm just stupid.
izotope makes some of my favorite plugins, love the UI and the functionality as well.
Izotope is literally insane! Thank you izotope and the presenter as well, it's like just load one plugin and get your mix ready for distribution
it won't fix a bad mix. gotta have a good mix and izotope works well to make it sound bigger
Wonderful tutorial I will come back to when I need to use this module. Thanks for your hard work on everything you do at Izotope.
The Mr. Rodgers of plugin tutorials! Excellent video, and a huge time saver. Thanks. (Next time, please add more audio examples ... the hip hop drum track wasn't an ideal example for certain modules.)
Nice this looks comprehensive, looking forward to digging in!
tone match sounds really like a game changer...thanks for this helpful review bro..gonna update today
Geoff is second to none as mentor if you want to improve your iZotope plugin skills. I also highly recommend his channel Manchester Music.
Sick 😎😎
Excellent detailed walkthrough. Definitely excited about getting this.
Absolutely loved this. This is way more than I expected
Thank you for this video!!! Very helpful. I would love to see a breakdown of RX9. Thanks again!
This feels like a reunion meant for everyone
Great tutorial ! tnx !
Excellent tutorial, thanks!
As a software developer who has a little exp. in writing vst's and as an hobby singer and rapper with no time, i embrace everything that helps me save time. And the algorithms and machine learning modells in nectar 3 are more skilled than myself... so an absolute great tool...used it for the latest song... incredible difference to the better and a time safer. And yeah, i still do my own tweaks.
This is a very good presentation of Neutron 4. Thank you ! I was wondering if anyone could make a tutorial about how to Mix and Master orchestral/choral music (epic, trailer music) using these new modules? That would be also very interesting to watch.
Man I love iZotope, and this video was sp informative and helpful, thank you!
Fantastic tutorial! Thanks a million for this.
Great tutorial, thanks. Crazy I have that drill drum loop in one of my productions.
Great work on these. Really well done!
Thank you. Very helpful as always. Big fan.
Thanx for the great video series. A tutorial with a mixing/mastering workflow would be amazing!
Awesome video! Love how you matched the lighting to the product colors too. This product looks amazing.
You were great in 80s classics "Short Circuit" and it's sequel by the! You were funny as in them movies. Johnny 5 is alive! 😜
Hey Jeff, I know this is not a comment on the neutron for, however, nice job on the VO buddy. Love the right energy. Have a good one, I look forward to neutron for the future. Peace bro.
One other thing he Jeff, here is a suggestion my friend. Vocal synth to. Perhaps, you or one of the Izotope crew can sing a little something and put a Daft Punk spin on it or something like that. Just a thought.
Izotope did it again!! The best, thanks
very thorough! thank you so much!
I appreciate the claim relaxed presentation 😊
I've never really been that familiar with Neutron. After watching this, I'm going to start experimenting with it..I have the whole suite, so some of the programs have kind of slipped my attention. Great vid!
This videos are priceless "get started manuals"! Great job, Geoff!
this serious is amazing cant wait to see more like this!
Ozone and RX pls
excellent stuff, thank you
Excellent video thanks
Would love to see Fet, Opto and VariMu etc options in the vintage compressor module including a saturation slider
Does Neutron 4 have a transient EQ option like Split EQ does?
That's for the great tutorial. This is extremely important to explain your tools.
That unmasking is amazing
This guy is great. And neutron 4 is amazing
very good plugin, I find it useful on all my tracks. I hope that Nectar will evolve in the same direction.
This is a great instructional video! When will Nectar 3 be included in the subscription? 😁
Thanks you for the tutorials Geoff Manchester. It seemed more difficult than it is. Let's mix the track 😎😎
Amazing Work ,also great voice!!
Neutron 4 is amazing and so easy to handle like I known before. Especially the Gate is for Dummies. ;D All works well and it´s easy to see what´s happening. But that´s also a problem in my opinion. I´m tempted to "looking to" what I´m doing. I think some kind of "Blind Test" could be a great feature to better "hear" what´s happening and how the sounds changing and not to much "mix with my eyes". Please don´t get me wrong, I love the visualization, but sometimes it leads me wrong. Nevertheless, great video again. Thank you. =)
Just got the Everything Bundle. Watching all these videos to get to where I fully understand how to use these tools. :D lad you get into things at this level. one thing though you didn't go over IRC LL or iRC II. It took me a while to find out what those meant. (IRC low latency, IRC II I don't remember.)would be kewl if they had a tooltip over those that said that.
Hey Jeff Thanks man great vid Just finished the vid. Going to go over it again...Thanks again...Gord
Thanks for saying so Gord.
Really looking forward to using Neutron to mix my next track. This guide is why I'm going to use it. Really appreciate a walkthrough included with a product like this!
Great tool!
This is such a great tool.
I got it a couple days ago but I love it
You are definitely an amazing teacher and ambassador !
Hi ...You asked for comments about what other products us viewers would like you to do a deep dive on...so could I please suggest that you do deep dives on all of the products that form part of the Music Production Suite 5. I have just bought this suite in the bundled offer and so would really benefit from hearing you walk us through them one by one. I am an Ableton Live Suite 11 user on Windows 10 OS fyi. Thanks in advance from the UK.
"wormy orange thing" - total selling point!
Only those who got through this video with a tonne of notes will make great legendary music!
I really wish we had access to the Mix Assistant's pre-EQ as a separate equalizer so that we could use it when Sculptor is deactivated (e.g., in low-latency mode).
Jeff, I was a little confused by one thing in your discussion of the Assistant View. Namely, it's relationship to the initial module chain. When you gave your warning about not rearranging the chain after the initial run through the Assistant, it made me wonder whether the Assistant View actually will place and place in preferred order, for an example, Sculptor when it was not in your beginning module chain. While I would think that the Assistant View listens at input prior to any processing, but it's not clear to me how it interacts with different orders of module chains to begin with. Hope you see this and thanks for your response.
Great video! Is there one video like this for Ozone 9?
increíble herramienta
Great video.
Could you create another video for Orchestral, Movie, trailer type music
A video like golden 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
👌🏻Great video! Neutron crashes when loading 96k wav on target library for reference sound 😩
He’s almost toooo perfect at explaining things is he a robot ?🧐 GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE
Damn bro I like you Logic Videos
omg! Manchester Music works for izotope! Dope....
You sold me on Masking! Purchased...
Great stuff! Just made an upgrade. But why iZotope does not implement the oversampling feature into the Neutron?(
I am impressed about the delay effect in the singer of the tracks used as example for the unmaske mode. Is there any chance of knowing how it has been done?
Great 👍
Thanks Jeff! 🙌 Does the EQ have a follow feature?
Wow, I was literally just saying the other day that I hope Geof does a Neutron 4 video and ...
How do you know how many db's Transient Shaper adds when applied? Great video :)
Any plans to add attack and release settings to the dynamic EQ bands?
I would love to have a Neutron instance on each track in zero latency mode and then starting the mix phase with pressing Mix Assistant on the Master track that then starts ALL Mix Assistants on each Neutron instance on each track and then does the levels.
So a ONE Click ALL tracks assistant.
I also want to correct the instrument it guessed on that Master track plugin and then I can go through each track for fine tuning. All parameters in assistant view should be NKS mapped.
That would be a killer quick workflow, especially with Maschine/Komplete Kontrol!
I swear neutron 3 could basically do that. It would gainstage the mix for you. I feel like they removed it in this version for some reason
You are great at reviews and tutorials. Thank you
In the sidechaining example with the oscilloscope, the purple signal is slightly before the white signal. Could you comment on what is happening a little?
Please,! Can you add the full match eq like in ozone but in minimum phase mode, not in linear! For me - match eq is the way of future of mixing! Is the best Match eq out there!
Hi Geoffe! So would I put an instance of Neutron 4 on each and ever track...Or would I put it on mixbus tracks for vocals/drums/piano etc;
BRAVO
Thanks for posting the video. How much does it cost to upgrade my Neutron 3 advanced to Neutron 4 advanced? The website is not clear about upgrade prices. Thanks
What is the goal of Neutron 4 and its learning mode when used on a track? a) identify the instrument and match it to a benchmark? or b) identify the instrument and ideally place it in the existing mix? For me, b) is actually relevant because many of my sounds already come from very good plugins. But that also means that you should only use the learning mode when there are already many tracks available so that you can analyze the instrument in comparison to the other tracks, right? Somehow I haven't yet understood the specific application of the learning mode.
please can you teach us how to mix a vocal and guitar with necture and izo
can I use just the oscilloscope as a breakout module? Would be really handy to just use that on my master.
Every time I use the assistant mode, my CPU crashes. My DAW: Logic Pro in its newest version. My setup: iMac M1, 16GB and enough disk space. All measures (increasing buffer etc) didnt work. The izotope tech support says, that must be a problem in logic- which apple support on the other hand denied 🤷♂️
Hello Great video. Newbie to using Izotope production suite. I have my instrument (and vocal) tracks grouped (Ableton Live 12 Standard) 1- Do you put an instance of Neutron 4 on each track, get the results you want and then on the bus/aux track (going to the master track) or just the bus/aux track or both? Thanks in advance.
I wish the lightning mode existed for Ozone Standard 10.
Thanks, ;-)
Epic
Geoff, from someone who is very much starting from scratch with mixing, thanks very much for this really helpful video. One question; is there a particular order that you would normally position the various modules in the signal path? I assume that Assistant View will do this for you to some extent, but if you wanted to apply an additional module, where would you usually put them in the chain? Thanks.
Just keep following your ears! You learn as you go! :) try to analyse what the tool is doing and what each module contributes to the sound, and how it works in different sequences.
Different sequences will produce different effects, it’s a very dense tool, but if you fully understand it, you’ll learn a great deal about mixing, just really analyse and listen to the chains the assistant spits out and try and understand what you’re hearing and why it is done in that order :)
@@xyzyzx1253 Thanks for taking the time to reply, I will keep these comments in mind.
In the beginning of the video; did you put Neutron on the master/mix buss (time: 12.16sec)? Or was it on the individual kick, sir and hi?
