This is the song where I discovered Nanci. I was listening to the radio late one night and they played this song. I thought it was so beautiful. I asked for the LP for my Xmas and loved it so much. I then started to work through her back catalogue and loved so many of her songs. Went to see her at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and also Edinburgh Castle. I would definitely call myself a true Nanci boy!!

I saw her in London England in 1989 while serving in the US Air Force. Me being from Texas, I was hooked from then on. She took the time to take pictures with us after the show. She was so nice and personable. She had a big impact a home sick Texas boy of 19 years old.

She not only affected my song-loving life, she affected my speech. I always wanted to see her live, but never had the opportunity. I knew a few years ago that she would probably never tour again -- or if she did, it would be in Ireland. May she rest in peace now, to tour spiritually with Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, and all the others she sang with or for before her own passing.
