@@scottharper5811 the stomp is much deeper in because its an interface with modeling amps I never store loops preferring to develop them live each time , keeps things fresh and keeps me on my toes
How do I get to the looper functions like on the screen in the start of video. I am having a herd time doing the most basic things, so I may just be an idiot.
you first have to assign the looper function to a block in your effects chain, I think Line 6 has a few videos showing how its done , then you have to dedicate one foot switch to turn the looper on and access this screen you see in the video
Hey Bill do you know how to add to add more than 6 effects in a preset? I can't seem to find in the manual how you do that but it states you can have up to 9. Thanks
you need to assign them in the as an effects block using the push switch just above and to the right the little Home icon switch, on the upper left side of the HX to access the signal path and yes it's in the manual starting on page 28, you need to dig a bit deeper in to it. and thats where the fun is ;) you can assign more than one effect to turn on and off via the 6 switches, I typically use the last 3 slots for effects I dont turn off like a compressor or reverb or an effects loop , good luck
Go into signal flow mode, and you can put of anything in each of those bottom three boxes totaling nine, you use the switches to choose which block you want to put a block of something in and just hit the big button and navigate as you would the other way
@@BillWalkerGuitarScapes thank you Bill 🙏 Just got my HX today! It’s an upgrade from my boss ME-50, to Sal the least! Also, my boss loose crapped out so this is great. Loving this unit!!
Much appreciated for the tut Bill! A couple of questions in regards to looping with the hx effects: can you insert the looper anywhere in the fx chain, for example right in the middle between other fx before and after the looper? Can you use more than one instance of the looper in a program? Cheers!
Bill Walker thanks for letting me know Bill. Is it also true that the hx effects can hold the memory of your recorded loop while switching to another preset on the fly as long as the next preset has a also a looper in the fx chain?? Have you tried that as well Bill? Cheers
Bill Walker thanks! That must be quite powerful if one can change the fx before and after the loops if the sound of the loops doesn’t get cut and it spills over nicely.. looking forward to try a hx effects or hx stomp soon if that’s the case! Many Thanks
Nicely done... clear and simple to follow and of course some cool playing and looping :-)
Thanks great info, just bought one, its awesome
Can the loop be saved for future use? If so, 1. How many?, 2. How to retrieve? Thanks!
No the loop cannot be saved No memory like you would find on some dedicated loopers
@@BillWalkerGuitarScapes Thanks for the response Bill. A short-coming of an otherwise very good unit. BTW, what do you think of the HX Stomp?

@@BillWalkerGuitarScapes I think I was way overthinking it and got into a spiral of STUPID! Thanks!!
Is there a way to switch the preset and keep the loop going? I'd like have a loop from an ambient preset and switch to a lead one. Thanks in advance.
If you have a looper in the other preset at the same block location I believe you can
try it and see
mines on loan right now so I can get at it

How do I delete the loop???
By stopping the loop and beginning record again

pepeflores2003 looper can go anywhere in the chain for both pre and post loop effects
Only one looper can be used. At a time

pepeflores2003 yes as long as a looper block is part of your. new preset

pepe If you change the looper block location from preset to preset it might not spill over I would have to check that to confirm
So how do you record over the initial loop?
press record button a second time to go in to overdub
But how do you erase the loop???
You don't erase loops, you just press “record” again. when the loop is stopped, then you can start recording a new loop,
