While you are watching this series, bare in mind that there was a lot of reshoots and ADR voice over and editing to change the story and the core reason of the flag smashers. This was due to it being about a virus pandemic and then the covid 19 pandemic started and didn't want to tell a story so closely tied to the real world
The Snap removed 50%, but a lot of others died. Car crashes, plane crashes, in hospitals because their doctors blinded, babies whose parents blipped, etc. Then many who blinded died upon return in likely usually horrific ways. Anyone one in a plane, boat, sub, fast moving vehicle when blinded will return where they were and will fall, drown, get run over by traffic, possibly unblipping in a space now occupied by something or someone else. You might argue that the intent wasn't evil, but the intent is. I'm sure anyone who attempted genocide of a people in our actual history felt as justified as Thanos.
Something that doesn't get talked a lot about is why Sam gave up the shield. A big reason was probably the pressure and backlash he would have received in universe. Heck, irl people were incredibly upset Steve gave him the shield. I had a roommate of mine tell me to my face (I myself am African American) that she didn't like the ending of Endgame because " I'm sorry Captain America just can't be black" Not cause he didnt have serum, not because he wasn't a capable hero, but because of his race. It's regressive and ignorant but it something that a lot of people felt when both the movies and show came out.
When it happened in the comics, nerds lost their minds. There were reports on Fox News, by people who had never picked up a comic. Certain people were MAD.
Everything you say is so true. Also, idk if sad & wrong are the right words to say that ur roommate's thought is a black man can't be the new Cap cause I can only speak for myself, but it never even crossed my mind. I personally thought it made sense that Sam would be next Captain America. Not only did it make sense for the story, but dude dang well deserved it too. Plus, it should be Cap's choice who to pick or what to even do w the shield. I'm a comic book fan, too, so honestly disgusted at other fans for looking at this situation that way. Sam is perfect to carry on the shield. He's an amazing soldier, but more to the point, a really good person too & if Cap himself wants you carrying the shield forward then that's good enough for me to be on board with it cause who am I to say he shouldn't if that makes sense.
I'm sure you know this by now but Zemo was the antagonist in Civil War. He framed Bucky for the bomb that killed Black Panther's dad, then got into his cell and triggered the Winter Soldier who then fought everyone. He later showed Tony that The Winter Soldier killed his parents to turn him and Steve against each other.
Isaiah is probably one of the best characters to come out of the post Endgame MCU. His story had me tearing up at multiple points throughout the show because of how realistic that story is( based off the Tuskegee Experiments)
So to answer some questions; - Falcon does have Redwing in the comics, but it's an actual bird rather than a drone - The Flag Smashers are a variation of the comic villain Flag Smasher, Karl Morgenthau, he was considered an anti-patriot and thus was often pitted against Captain America. The group however is of course a bit different, there is some sense and logic to it, something Sam is even struggling with himself, but the way they act on it is problematic - Zemo was the guy in Civil War who framed Bucky, played by Daniel Bruhl - Carl Lumbly (the voice of Martian Manhunter in DC's classic animated universe and mostly Justice League Unlimited) plays Isaiah Bradley. In the novel Truth: Red, White and Black, it was revealed that the US attempted to replicate the super serum on 300 Afro-American soldiers during WWII (in the show being moved up to the Korean War), Isaiah was among 5 survivors of the test, but through field missions he becomes the sole survivor, he stole a Captain America suit and shield to go on a mission to destroy a Nazi concentration camp working on Super Soldiers, he got captured but was saved by insurgents, rather than praised like Steve he was court martialed and imprisoned. In the comics he's an underground legend among the African-American community, Luke Cage even called him 'the me before me'
Isaiah is an homage to the Tuskegee experiments, an instance where 400 African-American men were lied to and not treated for syphilis in odrer to record the effects, and Henrietta Lacks, a black woman whose cells were taken without consent for studying purposes during cancer treatments.
Super soldiers age just like every other human, granted their lifespan is probably extended. But Steve was frozen for 70 years and Bucky had been cryogenically preserved on and off for decades as well. If you remember at the end of Endgame Steve was an old man.
12:18 Unlike Steve or Bucky, who were frozen/keep in cryostasis. But Isaiah still ages slower than a regular human. To give you an idea, he was born in the 30's and Falcon and The Winter Soldier is set in 2023-2024. So Isaiah has like 90 years.
Remember, the persona of Captain America wasn't created because Steve had take the serum, it was created so he could tour and sell war bonds. He happened to be wearing the costume when he went AWOL to save the 107th Infantry which Bucky was a part of. After that he adopted the look as a soldier and had a proper combat version of the costume made by Howard Stark.
"If he was wrong about you then he was wrong about me" SURE BUCK JUST RIP MY HEART OUT THIS IS FINE Also..i appreciate a portrayal of a therapist that isn't over the top fluffy rainbows and gentleness because clearly Bucky wouldn't respond to that and I wouldn't either but wow she's kinda mean. Dude isn't telling her he had a nightmare after they'd be working together for months, that's on her. She's like wow you have no friends get over yourself. He finally tells her he wants peace and she immediately tells him it's bullshit. Then, i know it'a played for comedy and i think it's fun but she's like yo Bucky just gonna bring your buddy in to a random session go on open up! Sam has counselling experience he does a better job getting through to him in 5 minutes later in the series. This lady needs to find a new department🤣🤣🤣
someone pointed this out which makes her behaviour make sense; she’s not there to be a proper therapist to bucky in the usual sense, help him actually work through his issues and heal and whatnot, she’s there just to ensure he’s no longer a threat to the public and that’s all.
Wyatt Russell plays an awesome John Walker and something to remember with his character is the difference between the perfect soldier (Walker) and the perfect man (Rogers) this is why the doctor didn't want a good soldier taking the serum. This also doesn't mean Walker is a bad man either, just consider him morally grey like the Punisher.
People wanted Sam to get super soldier serum guess what he was on active he went to war but this hypocritical fanbase forgets Sam saw war as a regular human being
What good man in Captain America Civil War says I can illegally invade a sovereign nation’s borders if a target of mine is there. What good man says he knows best than every leader on earth. What good man I know what is good or bad for u. These points sound like a dictator last time I checked.
Walker’s “stay out of my way” is quite frankly justified. Sam and Bucky had spent this whole time effectively looking down at him, Bucky even seconds before mocking the pressure he’s under to the point that even Sam had to step in to de-escalate because he knew Bucky had crossed a line. He helps save their lives and gets no even a thank you, he tries to be open and accommodating and they shut him down. Walker didn’t ask for this and he’s trying to deal with it best he could. But Sam and Bucky seem insistent on creating an enemy when there are other ways they could work together.
If I was John Walker I would have let the govt start his life sentence cuz he broke the law and guidelines of his parole. In this episode they talk about race in America only to not send a white man who violated his parole if ur going to bring up race take it there don’t go halfway go all the way.
Oak is right on the nose about what the Flag Smashers cause is about. They felt that during the blip there was an abundance of resources available and when everyone returned the people that weren’t blipped were left behind, in their view. All the attention was shifted to the returning population. The next few episodes will get a little more into that. Also, John Walker in the comics is sort of an anti hero alternative to Cap, he doesn’t mind k/lling or hurting folks and is more morally ambiguous. Sort of Like Homelander on The Boys or The Comedian and maybe even Rorschach from The Watchman.
13:40 The reason that Bucky didn't age is the same as why Cap didn't age. He was put on ice. The soviets stashed the Winter Soldier away when they didn't have a job for him. AFAIR it was shown twice basically. In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, they took him out of the crygenic chamber before programming him and in Captain America: Civil War Zemo killed the other super soldiers still in their cryo chambers.
Steve Rogers did age ;) He just was kept on ice for 70 years And Bucky as well, any time Hydra didn't need him, they put him back on ice, only taking him out when they needed an assassination of a VIP It's why Steve was old at the end of Endgame, because he went back to 1945 and lived the rest of his life out, remember?
The reason Isiah (Black Super Soldier) looks older is because Super Soldiers age. Bucky and Captain America didn't age because they were kept on ice and frozen. Kinda like skipping time when they slept.
I'm sure you have lots of clarity in the comments on Zemo. Not trying to spoil other parts of this show, but originally the Flagsmashers were stealing medicine because there was a plague when everyone came back so suddenly. Because Covid actually happened, the show had to suddenly cut that out of the story so we don't get the full depth intended with this antagonistic group. But you guys are spot on with the back and forth conversation about people coming back and how all of that shakes out. I do see the parallels in Russell's character having to live up to certain standards and how he as an actor has to live up to being compared to his dad. This was a great casting choice.
-You blipped but your wife didn't then you return and she's with someone else. -You and your wife blipped but your baby didn't and it's spent the last 5 years being raised by another family. -Houses, Cars, Pets, Jobs etc all the things people had when they blipped now all gone when they return. It's not just the resources it's a massive legal and rights issue.
Kurt Russell's going to be starring in the upcoming Apple TV series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. Which is set after the events of Godzilla (2014). The show will also feature scenes set in the past, where Wyatt Russell will play the younger version of Kurt's character.
I feel like when half of the population disappeared, yes, all of the resources would be more bountiful because there were not as many consumers, but I think you also have to remember that it wasn’t like half of all doctors or half of all construction workers disappeared. It was completely random. I always feel like maybe some sectors of the population or jobs could have been affected more than others. Also, say, 50% of all oil workers or farmers or linemen disappeared. That would mean that now they only have 50% of their workers to operate 100% of all farms or fields or fix electricity lines. So all the the resources are there, but now there are only half the workers to do the work. Also, it would have been chaos and I think not many people would have worked immediately after, especially because many companies would have to restructure their entire workforce because their people would have disappeared. I feel like it would have taken at least a year for people to adjust to their new reality. And think of how scary it would have been. People must have thought it was the end of the world.
The philosophical and ethical debate is exactly why Thanos was such a compelling antagonist. He absolutely had a point, but his methods were sadistic and he enjoyed the pain he inflicted as he attempted to cull the herd by traditional means prior to obtaining the Infinity stones.
so in terms of the aging, Cap was special in that both the mix of metals on his sheild and his super soldier serum were one of a kind secrets that have never been recreated successfully
Man, Oak, 50% of population gone there would be total chaos for decades. There would be a huge step back. And as population started to decline in real world, we don't have to worry about ressorces in the long term anyway.
Something of note in this episode (and the series as a whole) is what it would be like to be a black person in this society. It is very similar to our own world. How Isaiah was treated if you compare him with Steve. Also look at when the cops approached Sam and Bucky. They automatically assumed Sam was the problem. Bucky is more dangerous to Sam than the reverse but just because Sam looked angry they treated him as a potential threat. Even once they got close, it was Bucky who pointed out who Sam was to them. It makes total sense why Sam would be hesitant and give the shield back. He didnt know if America was ready to accept a black Captain America
Something that they didn't touch on in the discussion were some of the racial undertones. It becomes more apparent later on, but the scene where Sam and Bucky are stopped by the police was especially uncomfortable and jarring in mid 2020. Somewhat like the flag smashers and those they help having more liberty and access to resources during the blip but cast aside afterwards, Sam is lauded in his Falcon uniform, but the instant respect goes away without it. There's a lot more commentary and relatable perspective shared in this show, that I respect.
The blip was better for people who were struggling and homesless for sure. They all of a sudden had homes etc. Also as for resources and pollution you are right. Captain America eluded to this at the start of Endgame as well. He said he saw i think it was whales and mentioned the lack of pollution as well
I see the blip issue like this. The problem isn't so much that 50% of the population came back, the problem is WHEN they came back. 5 years is a long time. 5 years is long enough to morn (for some people), to finally start moving forward, for the world to start getting used to this new reality. So it's like...just when the world was getting back on its feet, those 50% came back again.
On the other hand 5 years is not a long time to recover from a global desaster. This is not an individual trauma but also a collective trauma. And someone who lost a child (or more) will not ger over that loss so easily. Some never get over losing a child it is similar with losing a sibling.
@user-dq6rp4sq1u that's why I said "for some people." AI also made a point to write START multiple times. I never said 5 years was enough time for the world to COMPLETELY get over losing half the population. I said 5 years was ling enough to START recovering, to START moving forward, to START accepting this new reality.
Love your videos guys! When you were talking about Kurt Russell I was reminded of a family drama called Dreamer (2005). Russell stars as a struggling horse trainer and a young Dakota Fanning plays his daughter. It was frequently replayed in my house growing up, and I had to recommend it!
Zemo was introduced in captain America the winter soldier he was the guy who's family died in sokovia and he killed the other super soldiers and told Tony bucky killed his mom and dad. He's a great character in this
Thanos was absolutely the bad guy without a doubt for one reason. With all the power of the stones he could have easily doubled the resources. He chose destruction of life and annihilation of culture instead.
The reason why Isaiah "aged" is because he wasn't in ice consecutively/repeatedly like Steve and Bucky. And he was post WWII, so he actually looks good for his age probs due to the serum.
I'll say this to all reaction channels: Watch the movies more than just the one time you react to them... In your own times obviously. Zemo was one of the best villains we got in the mcu, in the 2nd or 1st best mcu movie ever: The Winter Soldier. Can't wait for you guys to get to Loki season 2. Those of us who watched the finale lost our Minds!! 😎👊🏿
Consider the Blip lasted for 5 years - a lot of cope and change can happen in 5 years. A lot of new normal can be established, then the population of the world instantly doubled.
even in the movies, Steve Rogers points out that there are whales just outside of NYC. The environment was repairing itself. (Even during Covid shutdowns, many places had improved air quality because not as many people were driving). So yes Thanos was right about access to healthcare, food and shelter being better with less people
not sure how that is relevant, or even accurate - half the doctors are gone, half the farmers gone, half of the folks who manage a city's resources were also gone. Odds are a significant number of people died as the world scrambled rebalance itself during those five years. The environment may have been less threatened, but that doesn't equate to healthcare, food, and shelter being easier to access.
@@ScottRutter good point but I think that it may work because so much has already been established - like houses, hospitals, medical eduation, and farms already exist. There would be an initial shuffle to re-staff but we are not starting over. You can move into that empty house, admit new students into established medical programs, etc
@@ScottRutter Also the snap was compeletly radom wich could mean that the whole gouverment was snapped away in one country. -I think if the blimb would not have been undone there would have been a rebound effect after a couple of years. Because people may have thought now we have more resources so we can use more resources but if less people are using more resources the problem will still be the same and if some countries/ areas lost wealth because the blimb slowed down the economy that could increased the birthrate.
Just a mild reminder...Baron Zemo is the villain that brought Bucky, Cap and Iron Man together in Civil War's ending scene. Zemo was captured by Black Panther, was put in a Maximum Prison (The Raft). This tv show, Falcon and the Winter Soldier is my favorite for Marvel Phase 4. So many awesome moments. Happy you guys are watching it.
Something to keep in mind with Walker is that while he's physically exceptional, that's still within HUMAN limits. So if he was fighting regular thugs, he'd steamroll them. But he's fighting super soldiers. As strong and capable as he is, he's still only a normal human.
The government set Walker up to fail tbh, they never should have sent him out into the field with a handgun and a metal frisbee if they actually wanted him to deal with the threats. This only convinces me that they just wanted him to be a marketing tool than an actual soldier.
Finally caught up with these 2 episodes. Missed when you dropped first one so needed to binge no day off. I definitely love this series. It really brings about some tough topics. By this episode I got the feeling it was definitely bringing the topics of race and veterans to light. We have many celebrated veterans, but once their back state side they fall thru the cracks. Struggling to pick up their lives, dealing with therapy, trying to support themselves with loans. Society is often not the kindest. Someone who got a purple heart, is considered a hero, could end up on the streets and not many would help them. What happens when the fight is over stuff. I agree Marvel is very good at blurring the lines between good and bad.
hasnt been that long maybe a month or so, where the combined airforces of europe did a training exerciese with those 5:25 big planes, i was going to work and seein two of those big planes at ultra low altitute had me thinking for a moment the war in ukraine skipped poland and came right for germany, then i looked it up
Happy Veterans Day if either of you served. Thank you for your service. My Veteran is sleeping in this morning, 🥰 This show is very fitting to be watching on/around Veterans Day
Totally get what Oak is saying but yeah I think you can't really separate the resources facts and figures from the loss of loved ones because I guess it was such a great tragedy and loss of life that would have such a profound impact and everyone experienced it. That's why in Endgame Thanos came back and was like "wow i thought you'd be grateful but guess not so I'm gonna kill you all and start over so then no one will be hung up on what they've lost they'll just be happy for an easier life". Even Steve was trying to go all silver lining and talked about the good impact on the environment. But it must be so so SO much harder to move forward from a loss when everyone is feeling it constantly in their own way. So yeah I think the implication is that when people came back from the blip if, say, you had moved house and then the people who were snapped came back and it was previously their house..they were granted priority to move back in and the new owners pushed out and clearly not all of them accommodated for, hence these camps. I mean it's not the snapped people's fault they were snapped so it's totally a fair thought but it's so complicated. Imagine if you had remarried and then your spouse came back. You could have new kids! It's a pretty impossible situation. That said they didn't seem particularly sympathetic to Sam having not existed for 5 years when he was trying to get a loan 😅
Yeah cap was frozen in the ice and Bucky was frozen by hydra and only thawed every no and then for a few days for assassinations so he was mostly frozen for the 70 years too, Isaiah wasn’t frozen so he aged normally
Super soldiers age slower, they are not immune to aging. Cap was on ice for 75 years and Bucky went on ice in between Hydra missions over the years and he was frozen in Wakanda for a little bit. Isaiah is probably around 90 or older i don’t know for sure
All 4 of you need to watch the series Bloodhounds! It's a super good series and I'm VERY sure you guys would love it! please give it a chance. (Second time asking)
Zemo is MVP of episode 3 and blew up the internet. Like, hooooooboy. The internet’s reaction to a certain scene was so crazy MARVEL released a 1 hour looped version of it. 😂
Speaking about Wyatt Russell (Kurt's son), another great and underrated/lesser known movie he is in is called Overlord. A war movie with like a small horror twist. I don't know if you guys have seen it but would love to see you guys react to it or just in general is a movie you guys should check out at some point. Its pretty good imo and also looks really good for the budget it had. I'm also keen to see him in the upcoming series monarch legacy of monsters which is set in the godzilla world and wyatt apparently plays a young version of Kurt who is in it too which is cool
I found it disrespectful the way both Bucky and Sam treated John. Like them, he is a highly decorated war veteran who risked his life in several wars. For that reason alone, they should have shown some respect for the man as a fellow brother in arms. He's not some random nobody they plucked right out of basic training and put him in the suit. But because they were so up in their feelings about him being the new Captain America that they were settled on any reason to hate on him. It wasn't his fault that the shield was given to him. They should have an attitude with the government. They couldn't snatch the shield from Sam, because that's not even the same shield Cap brought back with him. Thanos destroyed the other one. They are trying to use John to make them look good to the public, just like they first used Steve, but Steve went against their plans and went on a rescue mission to save his fellow soldiers....just like Isaiah did later on. What happened to Steve when he did it (which was honor and praise) compared to what happened to Isaiah, it was definitely the opposite..but I digress. Walker is under pressure to get a job done by the government. He's gone out of his way to extend an olive branch with the guys, but gets nothing but attitudes and cold shoulders. So, him saying to them "Don't get in my way" sounds fair to me. Again, he has an assignment to do and the two of them can bend the rules...which means they can cause problems for Walker to finish his assignment.
THIS COMMENT EXACTLY!!!! This is how I felt and the online discourse around John made feel like I was wrong for feeling this way. I'd give you a thousand thumbs up if I could.
Kind of a repeat of other comments, but I’d figured I’d mention these few things. 1. “New Captain America” is played by Wyatt Russel. 2. Zemo was the main antagonist for Captain America: Civil War. 3. New Cap was chosen for a couple reasons, Blonde hair/blue eyes and the fact he was a “perfect soldier” Steven chose Sam to take the shield because he was a “good man”. The same reason he himself was chosen back in WW2 by Erskine. “Good man” vs “perfect soldier”.
I'm pretty sure in the MCU at least, the super soldier serum only brings you to peak human potential, so the effects could be reproduced with enough training and resources. If you were the greatest athlete in all disciplines and an intuitive genius, that is.
This series went through the most changes from concept to broadcast. The original plotline included a mysterious virus spreading around the world (with the implication it was created by the government) and rich people easily able to get the vaccine while the common people - the ones that filled in and filled required jobs left behind by those that blipped - having a hard time getting the medicine. Then, in 2020 just prior to this show dropping on Disney+, the real world went into lock-down and the suits at Marvel had second thoughts about that virus plotline. The show was quickly re-edited to delete this plot point, but certain elements needed to remain - the stolen medicine in this episode and the death of Morganthou's mentor in an upcoming episode. Her death would be re-edited to be due to tuberculosis rather than the (probably engineered) disease. The Flag Smasher's other point is lower class people filled in empty positions in countries they would never otherwise have been able to legally immigrate to. It is implied in this series that, upon the return of the other half of the population, all those lower-class citizens were kicked out of the First World countries that had invited them in and forced back to their original homes. This of course led to sore feelings among those who filled a need at the time and were dumped like trash the moment they were no longer needed.
There are just some lines from shows, and movies that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to forgive a character for saying. Sam saying that the shield had nothing to do with Bucky will forever fill me with rage and make me wanna ball my eyes out. I’m going to skip the entire rant about how much that shield is so ingrained into Buckys life and story. When I watched this, the race stuff pretty much goes over my head half the time so I didn’t really understand the issue Sam had about keeping the shield. I really don’t think he should’ve given it away but I completely understand Steve not giving it to Bucky and I don’t believe he would’ve taken it anyways, given how he talks in this particular episode in the therapy session. Now personally, I believe there will never be and shouldn’t be another Captain America. There just will never be another Steve because he was his own individual person. I believe that Sam is capable of filling that role, he just doesn’t have to have the same hero name he can still be the Falcon. And besides Bucky and Sam are way better than that little piss ant, who thought he could be Captain America.
In my opinion u shouldn’t have cap without the serum , Ik it was him as a person that made him amazing , but without the serum ur gonna get one tapped instantly
20:19 You dont have to worry wondering if this story is going to be mature and gray about the antagonists, the show is gonna make sure you know they are evil because the MCU doesnt have the slight idea of how to make moraly grey characters that can be antagonist that have valid points to be mad about the problem they are facing. Wanda was the bad guy in WandaVision but that was too dark for the mcu so the show was in the necesity to have a final fight so BUM "it was Agatha all along" and she is never hold acount about what she did. Even if it would have been better giving the fact what happens next during Multiverse of Madness, but who cares anyway if the mcu contradicts itself right?
A lot happened in this episode! Still wild to see someone else dress in Caps uni. What did we miss?

I'm sure you know this by now but Zemo was the antagonist in Civil War. He later showed Tony that The Winter Soldier killed his parents to turn him and Steve against each other.
Hey nice comment
Zemo was the guy that killed black panthers dad and got Tony and Steve to fight each other in Civil War
IMO a good MCU villain. Winning with his mind and not simply evil or power hungry.
@@imgettingtoooldforthisvery true,, he just wanted revenge, nothing more nothing less,,
And he framed Bucky for the bombing that lead to the Sokovia Accords. Effectively he broke the Avengers.
Isaiah is probably one of the best characters to come out of the post Endgame MCU. His story had me tearing up at multiple points throughout the show because of how realistic that story is( based off the Tuskegee Experiments)
And to think, the government threw him in jail for 30 years for doing the same thing Steve Rodgers did - rescuing prisoners of war😵💫
So to answer some questions;
- Falcon does have Redwing in the comics, but it's an actual bird rather than a drone

- Carl Lumbly (the voice of Martian Manhunter in DC's classic animated universe and mostly Justice League Unlimited) plays Isaiah Bradley.
You answered one question lol, the rest were just random facts.
@@VykeKing False, because everything addressed above were questions the guys asked during the reaction.
WW2 Cap (Steve) carried a pistol, and in the comics Cap has been known to wield one at times as well.
And he used it quite a bit in the 1st Cap movie.
Yeah, during war time, not against civilians.
@@erikjohnson3859 -The flagsmashers aren't just civilians...
@@maximillianosaben They are literally civilians pushed out of their homes by the GRC. Did you even watch the show?
@@erikjohnson3859 - Not during that roadway attack they're not.
"If he was wrong about you then he was wrong about me" SURE BUCK JUST RIP MY HEART OUT THIS IS FINE
Also..i appreciate a portrayal of a therapist that isn't over the top fluffy rainbows and gentleness because clearly Bucky wouldn't respond to that and I wouldn't either but wow she's kinda mean. This lady needs to find a new department🤣🤣🤣
someone pointed this out which makes her behaviour make sense; she’s not there to be a proper therapist to bucky in the usual sense, help him actually work through his issues and heal and whatnot, she’s there just to ensure he’s no longer a threat to the public and that’s all.
and yknow arguably she’s not the best at that either since he’s not being honest with her, but it explains why her approach is so different to say sam
Zemo was the villain in Captain America: Civil War. The guy that tore the AVENGERS apart from "the inside". 🙂
Steve Rogers did age ;)
He just was kept on ice for 70 years
And Bucky as well, any time Hydra didn't need him, they put him back on ice, only taking him out when they needed an assassination of a VIP
It's why Steve was old at the end of Endgame, because he went back to 1945 and lived the rest of his life out, remember?
The reason Isiah (Black Super Soldier) looks older is because Super Soldiers age. Bucky and Captain America didn't age because they were kept on ice and frozen. Kinda like skipping time when they slept.
Many people forget that Steve Rodgers carried a pistol back in the 40's.
Wyatt does a wonderful job of walking the libe between wanting to hate his character and not
@BaddMedicine Don't forget that Steve used to carry a pistol back in WWII. Not just his shield.
Zemo: The villain in Captain America civil war. He’s great.
After watching this series, you won’t forget who Zemo is ever again 😆
I love how they did John walker and Wyatt did incredible
so in terms of the aging, Cap was special in that both the mix of metals on his sheild and his super soldier serum were one of a kind secrets that have never been recreated successfully
Best but the reason isaiah ages cuz he’s never been on ice
good point lmfao i always forget cap was out of commision from 1945-2012@@YK-rs8pm
Man, Oak, 50% of population gone there would be total chaos for decades. There would be a huge step back. And as population started to decline in real world, we don't have to worry about ressorces in the long term anyway.
I seen the out takes not just of the one scene but multiple and they joked and laughed so much I cried I laughed so hard!!
@user-dq6rp4sq1u that's why I said "for some people."
AI also made a point to write START multiple times. I never said 5 years was enough time for the world to COMPLETELY get over losing half the population. I said 5 years was ling enough to START recovering, to START moving forward, to START accepting this new reality.
Aww... Love the Toothless ornament there
Love your videos guys!
When you were talking about Kurt Russell I was reminded of a family drama called Dreamer (2005). Russell stars as a struggling horse trainer and a young Dakota Fanning plays his daughter. It was frequently replayed in my house growing up, and I had to recommend it!
He was never frozen. Cap and Bucky were.
Aww... Love the Toothless ornament there

This show is a real battle of the ideologies, you all are going to really enjoy it
"just a guy I the suit" lol wait till the ending.
Thanks for serving our country veterans. Also I love bucky and sams banter
Wyatt Hawn Russell
Born: July 10, 1986
Parents: Kurt Russell, Goldie Hawn
Zemo was introduced in captain America the winter soldier he was the guy who's family died in sokovia and he killed the other super soldiers and told Tony bucky killed his mom and dad. He's a great character in this
Thanos was absolutely the bad guy without a doubt for one reason. With all the power of the stones he could have easily doubled the resources. He chose destruction of life and annihilation of culture instead.
Or he could have just shrunken everyone. Smaller people need less resources.
The reason why Isaiah "aged" is because he wasn't in ice consecutively/repeatedly like Steve and Bucky. And he was post WWII, so he actually looks good for his age probs due to the serum.
I'll say this to all reaction channels:
Watch the movies more than just the one time you react to them... In your own times obviously.
Zemo was one of the best villains we got in the mcu, in the 2nd or 1st best mcu movie ever: The Winter Soldier.
Can't wait for you guys to get to Loki season 2.
Those of us who watched the finale lost our Minds!! 😎👊🏿
Zemo was the guy who was behind captain America Civil War. The one who got Cap and Iron man to fight, killed Tchallas dad, brain controlled bucky etc
Guys isaiah aged because he never was put on ice like bucky and steve were. Glad yall reacting to this show 👍🏽
Always a great time with your reactions!!
@@kelly9876 oh, it would work, but it would be a mess early on
@@ScottRutter Also the snap was compeletly radom wich could mean that the whole gouverment was snapped away in one country.
Yes, Thanos was the bad guy lol. Simply culling the population would lead to absolute chaos for years if not decades
John Walker is played by Wyatt Russell, son of legendary Kurt Russell, who played Ego in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
And the goddess Goldie Hawn just love them both
Guys the only reason capt America and Bucky didn't age is because they were both frozen. They do age.
FACTS they would have one spotted Sam, Steve and Bucky as regular humans with no superpowers or falcons Tony stark suit.
I agree Marvel is very good at blurring the lines between good and bad.
it's kinda refreshing watching a reaction to this now
hasnt been that long maybe a month or so, where the combined airforces of europe did a training exerciese with those 5:25 big planes, i was going to work and seein two of those big planes at ultra low altitute had me thinking for a moment the war in ukraine skipped poland and came right for germany, then i looked it up
Happy Veterans Day if either of you served. Thank you for your service.
My Veteran is sleeping in this morning, 🥰
This show is very fitting to be watching on/around Veterans Day
Totally get what Oak is saying but yeah I think you can't really separate the resources facts and figures from the loss of loved ones because I guess it was such a great tragedy and loss of life that would have such a profound impact and everyone experienced it.
That gets explained later in the show, nice job spoiling it without meaning to spoil it.
I can't believe I didn't find out about the Kurt Russell connection until now!
Zemo and Thanos are the only 2 villians to actually win. Zemo split up the Avengers and broke their trust in each other.
All 4 of you need to watch the series Bloodhounds! It's a super good series and I'm VERY sure you guys would love it! please give it a chance. (Second time asking)
18:16 he was in Captain America Civil War
Zemo is MVP of episode 3 and blew up the internet. Like, hooooooboy. The internet’s reaction to a certain scene was so crazy MARVEL released a 1 hour looped version of it. 😂
Just a reminder that Steve used a gun aswell in the first captain America movie. 😅
Zemo is the guy from civil war that made Bucky evil with those words from the red book and showed tony the video of Bucky killing Tony’s parents
Bucky and Sam's dynamic is the BEST! I'm so excited for you to see the rest of the episodes!
I like that they're actually the best of friends since Civil War. Mackie and Stan's interviews are hilarious together. They're comedy gold.
Great series 🙌🏾
Kind of a repeat of other comments, but I’d figured I’d mention these few things.
1. “New Captain America” is played by Wyatt Russel.
2. Zemo was the main antagonist for Captain America: Civil War.
3. New Cap was chosen for a couple reasons, Blonde hair/blue eyes and the fact he was a “perfect soldier” Steven chose Sam to take the shield because he was a “good man”. The same reason he himself was chosen back in WW2 by Erskine. “Good man” vs “perfect soldier”.
Super solders can age Steve and Bucky just didn’t age because they were kept frozen
I'm pretty sure in the MCU at least, the super soldier serum only brings you to peak human potential, so the effects could be reproduced with enough training and resources.
If you were the greatest athlete in all disciplines and an intuitive genius, that is.
Glad y'all watched this. Quite a few people were upset about the racial issues in the series.
Yeah reality is upsetting sometimes.
Zemo was the pot stirer in the cival war movie. He killed black panthers father with the explosion at the accord conference & framed Bucky
Zemo is from Avengers: Civil War ... but yeah, if you have watched that movie years ago (like me), I wouldn't have remembered that dude either xD
Zemo is the guy from civil war
Gran trabajo 👌
Zimo was the one who framed Bucky in Civil War
Zemo was the villain in captain America civil war
And besides Bucky and Sam are way better than that little piss ant, who thought he could be Captain America.
zemo is the guy who tried to frame bucky in Winter Soldier.
Zemo is the guy that made everything happen in civil war with cap vs tony and such
Zemo was one of my favorite villains. He actually succeeded for a time.
Steve had a pistol and he used guns before.
Steve Roger's used a pistol he just didn't use a lot.
Go back and watch/rewatch Captain America: Civil War before the next episode. It'll fill in some gaps
In my opinion u shouldn’t have cap without the serum , Ik it was him as a person that made him amazing , but without the serum ur gonna get one tapped instantly
Super soilders age.. just slower. Only reason Bucky and Steve didn’t cause they were both frozen as you said lol
All I'm hearing from that post episode discussion is "Thanos did nothing wrong"
Oooh buena pelicula
Baddd medicine I badly want ' VIKRAM' then LEO yr.
Badd medicine needs to know each and every damn thing about LCU
Zemo was the big bad in the captain America civil war movie
What happened
the answer? Great reaction guys
