Would like to clear small confusion that internal padding for studds thunder is removable. Was making comprasion with low end budgeted helments where padding removal scope is missing

Wearing helmets for safety was something taught to me by my grandfather. He never allowed me to leave the house without an helmet. Now, as soon as I ride without an helmet, I feel like as if I'm running out naked without clothes.
Recently bought a gt650 and was not satisfied with the open face helmet they gave. Avoid open face helmets guys, even if they look good and are more comfortable for spectacle wearers, it's not worth it considering the level of protection they give. Also replace the helmet if it's been already involved in an accident.

Perfect video explaining how mid range is better than hefty and expensive ones. I have been using studds thunder. And yes, it has removable padding, air vents, soft and comfy cushions, fits well and is priced well at 2k. My roommate had a smk helmet that costed somewhere around 4-5k.. mine had legit everything a smk helmet has, just except the inner visor.
And nowhere did i find thunder to be less safer than any expensive one.

It's a shame really, not wearing a helmet when riding! It only shows a penny wise pound foolish attitude and total disregard for safety. I have never, ever ridden a bike without a full face helmet and I've been riding now for close to 40 years. I've had 2 major accidents, broken a couple of bones (toe/wrist) but never had any major injury despite the severity of the impact at 60kmph head on with 4 wheelers. I credit this to the helmet, well covered knees, hips, arms whenever I ride. It gets stuffy at times especially in the hot Indian summer months, but I feel safety is more important than a bit of sweat.... anytime! 🙏

Amazing video🙌 I have been using helmets for the last 7-8 years. I lost my school friend as he was not wearing a helmet. I agree that most Indians don't use helmets or use them to fool police when they are fooling themselves. That's why buying helmets and looking for safety is tricky, as most helmets sold are unsafe. Almost all of my friends don't use helmets and keep discouraging me from using them. They say the date when you will die is written, and whether or not you wear a helmet, you will die that day. I get that a lot. Also, some say wearing a helmet ruins their hairstyle.
Please guide whether helmets should be bought online or offline? Tradeoffs
Also whether Bluetooth intercom should be used in helmets?
Yes, I am a middle-class customer who always looks for value for money. Please suggest helmets and price ranges which are affordable and somewhat convenient and have no compromise about safety. Also, recommendations for people who have specs.

I have helmet for the first day i bought my first bike, being a bike and adventure tour lover, Now i have my Fourth bike, I never wore helmet for avoiding challans ,For me always safety first on secondary protection against wind blast to face and dust , I met with major 2-3 accidents ,being a careful driver, still met with an accident, I loved my own thinking regarding helmets always on head during ride, i got everything scratched ,broken some bones, torn apart the clothes, but the only Good Vega" helmet i use protected the head ,and just got some little scratch. I recommend to everyone ,just don't see the benefit of being challaned , See your Head worth for your life and your loved one's. Always buy Good branded helmets don't compromise your life on 1500-2000Rs.

I work in studds, I know only studds shifter helmet costing around 2400 is worth in studds series, a new model studds crest costing 1100/- is also coming to the market which is way better than studds thunder.
Shifter has removable padding and upper harness.
And talking about the size difference is only for the harness(clothing) and cheek pad size difference is there. Rest shell is same size and the thermocol (EPSL) used inside helmet is same in all sizes, the size difference is in the clothing part only, by the help of reducing thickness of foaming inside.
I'd insist people trying studds shifter and crest model only .
Talking about SMK go for SMK eldorado model for royal Enfield and new model typhoon for racing bikes, rest stellar swank is good but typhoon and eldorado are amazing

While trying to promote Make in India products, the GOI is indirectly hampering the safety of the Indian riders. It is 101% evident that ECE and DOT certification are more safer than ISI certification. But India clearly knows our locals can't compete with other markets. Thus the ban. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I don't understand what kind of policy India is playing.

@@TigerKoul taken into consideration how? As far as I have been able to find out, if the helmet is not isi certified, then it is illegal (since June 1st). This doesnt mean that imported ECE certified helmets cannot be sold in India, but that they will need to be isi certified first. Otherwise it is illegal to wear or sell. It sucks for low volume higher end helmets because they will not spend unnecessary money on Indian certification.
