Why the Contour Button is Greyed Out (Disabled) In Cricut Design Space

This is a short video about the Contour button in Cricut Design Space. I realized yesterday when I was making another video that I have mentioned the disabled Contour button a couple of times before in other videos, and I just wanted to do a break out video specifically focused on that concept.

Good evening, I’m trying put words on a Christmas ornament, but when I print out my message and then put printed image in my Cricut maker 3 it wants to cut the words out instead of boarder. Can you please advise?

To be completely honest and transparent, I actually discovered it by accident! I noticed it when I was changing a _Basic Cut_ layer to a _Print Then Cut_ layer. I saw something change out of the corner of my eye, and I didn't know what it was, so I changed the layer back to Basic Cut and saw the Contour button become active. Then I changed the layer back to Print Then Cut and saw the Contour button become inactive, and I was like, "Oh, wow!"
There are some other things that I've discovered accidentally, too, and I'm keeping a list of them so that I can make a video on them.
