Very good interview and I agree on the consistency part with regards to youngsters like Rashford, Martial, Lingard (even tho he's 25 lol)....they need to be more consistent like Jesus, Sane etc if we are gonna catch City. Mourinho will add most of the final pieces this summer then its up to us to be more consistent on the pitch but we definitely have that winning mentality like we had under fergie!
Finally someone speaks up.. People whines about how Jose plays, playing defensive blah blah blah.. but they dont understand the gist of Counter attacking football. Counter attacking is basically catch the opponent off guard once they are pressing very high up the pitch. Under SAF, we dont play possession gaming. Against Barcelona against Bayern, SAF also adopted Countering attack strategy. The problem right now United is facing is that during counter attack, our fluidity seems to be slightly off. The final pass doesnt seem to click. If we rectify this problem, we could be on par with Real Madrid. Speaking of which, Rashford Martial are not as consistent as Jesus and Sane. Both players have massive talent but if they can work on their consistency, i honestly think they are a force to be reckon with. Even liverpool, MANE, firmino and Salah are so fluent in their final pass. I think we really need work on that very aspect.
Great interview. I'm an Arsenal fan and while I often hate Mourinho, I respect him and his football knowledge. Much like Wenger, he has his finger on the pulse of the game more than most managers can dream of. It would be awesome if Mourinho/Vieira or Mourinho/Ancelotti can be the next Wenger/Ferguson, but as Jose says, no way does today's media (and fans) allow someone to stay for 20+ years anymore.
I can listen to Jose Mourinho interviews 24hrs a day 7 days a week and never get bored. I really miss him as manager of Chelsea. That's his real love. Can't wait for us to have another manager like him in interviews, in tactics, in selection, in decisions, etc. He knows when to sacrifice himself to shield his players and when to throw out his players to the press so they can improve. Master of mind games with other clubs, managers, can lock out any player he chooses to from the opposite team. Wenger is cool and this is his moment but its not fair we have to wait for legends to retire or die to tell them the good words they deserve. Jose is boss and is great
Great interview, with good questions and good answers. Mourinho is much nice that most of people think. Thanks Mou for what you do in United, Personnaly I'm proud to have Mourinho as manager, glory glory United! Nice tribute to Wenger (Even if I dont like him, Mou is right: Wenger is the last one)
Respect to Jose and respect to SAF, the respect shown to wenger at Old Trafford won't be forgotten, rivalries aside it's a shame to see the greats of the game leaving and hopefully we'll see competition of utd and arsenal of old sooner or later (maybe later)
I'm an Arsenal fan, Mourinho has said some very nice things about Arsene ( considering their history). I've always like his direct open approach with the media
I rarely comment on youtube, but I have to say: What an Interview! Sad, that I found it so late. But really good Interviewer with the right questions. She truly understands what's important, that's what I call professional. You can clearly see Jose enjoyed it, too. I would love to see the full Interview.
Very good interview! Mourinho was very good here and very humble. I have a love/hate relationship to him, he’s a great profile but sometimes not a very positive one. I also think he should be able to get more out of his squad and in a positive fotball way. This limitation in positive fotball he could do much better, result can’t be everyhting, it has to be entertaining also...
Jose is spot on about the media influence. Take the time to actually listen to what Jose says and how he says it and you see the whole media image/facade of him fall away. He is the best manager in the world and is as good at distracting the media and playing them to his tune almost as well as Sir Alex did. Jose was spot on about City being a product of prolonged heavy investment. Eventually they were going to become a huge force regardless of the manager in my opinion. You could put Pochettino/Howe/Dyche in charge and City would have still walked it this year. People saying Jose cant stick more than three years are probably right but I see a more mature Jose and he seems more focussed on the future success rather than immediate success. He talks about building the club up to be dominant again, but says it differently each time. LVG just hammered the whole 'philospy' thing. As an aside Pep is a fantastic manager, but his unwillingness to coach in terms of defense has proven to be a big weakness for City. Hence why they got knocked out by Klopp and Liverpool in the CL.
This man is an example of what playing really means: we're all "fighting" for #RESPECT. I hope his dream to stay on Man Utd's bench for ever will come true. He made me cry (a lot) as a ROMANista and I'd really like to face him again one day in CL. #ForzaRomaSempre
I'm a Man United fan and I like Mourinho since he managed Porto. Yes, he did ridiculous interviews and put a lot of fights with managers, staffs, and players, but these show how much he wants to win. I hope he keeps this winning mentality and stays in Man United for a long time. Just love how he shows his respect to SAF, Wenger, and Pep.
At times, I have struggled in being patient with Jose...he can act like a big head at times, but this interview has softened my view him. He’s a great manager all said and done.
In retrospect, ManUtd did José dirty after this season, even after giving him a new contract and it's sad. The media and class of '92 didn't even help matters with all the talks of DNA. After this season they should have backed him. He was cooking sth with that team and he needed to fill some missing spots. He kept on crying for specific players. They ended up giving him Dalot, Fred and Grant. He did not need them. The aim is not to finish top 4, it is to win it all. They were getting closer.
This video’s title may be why Man Utd fans are not watching this interview given by Mourinho on April 2018, roughly six months before his sacking. And now, Oct. 2019, nearly a year after that and Man Utd is now under management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and is 12th on the table a week after a succession of loses. Its not only the loses but the way the team lost and seemed completely in disarray and without a shred of confidence or plan. This video at the time focused on the rivalry between Mourinho and Arsene Wenger in the Premier League, to commemorate Wenger’s (forced) retirement at Arsenal. However, here Mourinho gave an excellent outline of Man Utd’s overall situation and how to transform the team back to its winning ways like during Sir Alex’s era. Hindsight is always 20-20 but Mourinho’s words here provide a jolt of reality strikes of why Man Utd is currently in its worst predicament in a half century. And how frighteningly improbably it will turnaround anytime soon with the current board of directors, CEO Woodward, the current crops of players, a fan favourite but truly an in-over-his-head inexperienced manager like Solskjaer and the fans of today. But most of all, the most fundamentally is the enormousness of the mistake made by the club to sack Mourinho, the only man who appears to know what’s going on and what to do about it and with an impeccable track record and seemed to have the depth and willingness to handle the situation and go through with it. Reminds me of a song...”They paved paradise to build a parking lot.”
While I’m not a fan of mourinho , something that really touched me was what he said that the media won’t let managers stay at a particular club for a long time .. the British media has got to be amongst the worst in terms of smearing and tarnishing the names of countless excellent managers over the years that they are forced to club-shop year after year
Can she just conduct every sports interview from now on? No need for pompous journalists when someone like her can address actual issues and ask compelling questions. This is what journalism is like, not the boys club of overweight men.
mazincool555 lol ,, totally agree ,, he's a right Scruffy B lately looks like he's be up all night in the Lowry with one of Wayne Rooney's ex Granny pro's,, ( the Sounds !! Possibly the White Stripes ) He keeps going on about how good city are and are difficult to catch because of money etc ? ,, But fails to mention that Liverpool Thrashed Them Three Times This Season ,,, The Squirrel was funny though lol ,, I'll have to watch out for them Dangerous little animals ,,,Squirrels eh
WE KNOW PLAYERS HAVE WAYS TO MAKE THE FINAL DECISION AND IT WORKS ALL THE TIMES. NOW IT IS ALMOST CRITICAL FOR MANAGERS TO HAVE THEIR OWN ASSOCIATIONS WITH SECRETARIATES THAT CAN STAND UP AND FIGHT BACK DEFAULTING PLAYERS AND THEIR AGENTS AND THOSE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD WHO NO LONGER REMEMBER THE GOOD PURPOSE OF THEIR FUNCTIONS.
As a Liverpool fan this is a great interview with Jose being honest rather than on the defensive all the time, shame we don't see more interviews of him like this
and hes affraid of another good manager will come to premier league.next season will be interesting.i want to see what arsenal can do and how the players react with new manager
Manager longevity doesn’t just come from the club. Managers like Mourinho and Guardiola are in the job for the short term and will move on when they’ve achieved what they want. Loyalty is the issue not just from the club. You can’t just blame the media. Arrogance

a10 you serious jesus? He only scores tap ins at that!
a10 you serious jesus? He only scores tap ins at that!
a10 all Jesus does is score tap ins
Too much truth told on one video.
Mourinho is a true legend of the game.
Benny Burke Mourinho is not a Legend he’s still active. Learn what Legend means before making stupid comment
Benny Burke That's why the fake news pundits hate him
Great interview. I'm an Arsenal fan and while I often hate Mourinho, I respect him and his football knowledge. Good interview. Well-handled on both sides. Seems like it was what can happen when journalists are not just looking for ‘clickbait’ headlines!
Mourhinos was spot on in this interview top interview
Brilliant interview. Well done.
Mourinho is absolutely correct on everything he said..gotta love him tho

Khalid Alnajjar go do research u braindead manc
Stop putting the Park the bus tag on Mourinho. He has defensive instinct but he allows the team to play attacking football.
Mr Jose l love the manna in which you answer those questions. You are the best man who will take Man U back to the top.
Man U and JOSE for life

I'm an Arsenal fan, Mourinho has said some very nice things about Arsene ( considering their history). I've always like his direct open approach with the media

Mourinho treats the media so gently now. He is getting old, we are getting old.
I am glad he said what he said. It’s all true.
This is the mourinho I like. Not the other one
This is the mourinho i can stand
He is totally right the media suck out any positivity and ruin the fans perspective
As a Chelsea fan, I fully respect Wenger. No other coach in the world could be in ONE club for so longer.

Souvik Dutta Plastic Glory Hunter
There is some truth in it, Pep allready found great players when he came to City in Aguero, Kompany, Otamendi, Silva, De Bryune
Nobody is talking about how hot the interviewer is.
Man U is next Arsenal😁😁😁. Can't wait for next season
The lady must be feeling it.
"I got a card because I was rude. But I was rude to an idiot". Mou about Wenger😂😂😂
He's not retiring he's stepping down from Arsenal
Whoever chose that shoddy room as a studio should get their P45
José talking about storms and the atmosphere, lol
Read between the lines: He is still the specialist in Failure that's why we want him around
Ppl compare wenger to ferguson ...ferguson didnt change stadium and didnt found himaelf in financial prblm so be fear .. Wenger in another situation he would dominate the pl and europe
mahran bessifi not to mention wenger has a player problem eg. injury like Diaby.. -_-..
But even when the stadium change was sorted out Wenger still didn’t achieve anything
