LOL, Murphy's law, "Smallest parts will fall to floor and roll to least accessible corner of the room". A journeyman once taught me as an apprentice that copying an old part was always easier than making one based on an Engineers Drawing. He was right!
Here is another thing, sometimes you just have to make what you need out of your head, think about things and how to engineer something that will make the job go easier, someone out there did that with those valve covers, Now taking those covers off to adjust the valves is simple, Btw, on a vintage Airhead BMW you have to do that every 3500 to 6000 miles. You would think they loosen up, But,, the opposite, they tighten up.-Dave
So.. Ya.. It says right on the can " Harmful or Fatal if swallowed" So,, in other words, this is the stuff that works. also.. "Avoid prolonged inhalation of fumes" and also, "Extremely Flammable". - Dave

I've made a few gaskets in my day also .
Not my favorite thing to do, however, I believe that everyone who works on their equipment should at least know how to make a gasket. -Dave
now you know the gaskets are still in the garage
You know how it goes. they run off someplace, then, when you are not looking for them, Boom!!.. there they are.
I remember watching old timers in Alaska making gaskets out of moose hide and beeswax.
Subject = Thor's Axe blew a gasket !!!!
