Beg to differ. Daytona is not an icon. Not yesterday, not today. Give me a Heuer 2446c Autavia, a Speedmaster 105.003, a Patek 1463 over any Daytona any day. Give me the Lemania movements used by Omega, Patek, Vacheron, Breguet for over 50 years. Rolex does not come anywhere remotely close. A Daytona is simply a statement : my wallet is bigger than yours. It takes more to make an icon, Mr. Bacs. But full credit to Aurel Bacs to generate an extraordinary sale.
This is a beautiful Rolex. Sure I might prefer a Patek but if I was getting a Patek it would either be a hobnail caletrava or moonphase. Ya I'll take the Rolex over the ones you listed I like ths look.
