- Hey,
thanks for checking out my video. I hope you're all staying safe social distancing and finding things to do during the quarantine. One thing I love doing is my hair but I hate spending money to buy new hair. So why not reuse the old hair? Since I'm bored in the house and I'm in the house bored, I'm washing my old braiding hair to prep for new braids.

I got my hair braided with synthetic hair, and there were so many videos talking about reusing and washing real hair but not synthetic :(
I'm so glad that you made this video, because I refused to throw away my synthetic hair (it's been a year now! Literally!) and now I'll finally get to wash them and reuse them!

You can tie a string between 2 chairs then place the hair on it to twist. Very common in the pre-braid hair for box braid videos.

Nori Little Thank you so much! Yes you can absolutely store it once it’s dried in the twists. I find that it helps for more compact storage if I place it in a bag then in my storage box.

My braiding hair is so matted bruhh I'm using fabric softener to get It smooth cause i was stupid enough to boil wash it and it made worse. I tried brushing it but turned out worse. Blow drying made it terrible. So I got to figure out how I'm going to get it smooth again
BaekhyunFanEndedByLip bite goodness that sounds like a pure struggle. I would say to try your best to brush it out first and try using a mix of hair conditioner with warm water in a spray bottle to derange before you try boiling. That should help get the knots out. Then use a hair dryer to blow dry the hair straight while brushing for more even texture. Try using an olive oil heat protectant to help the brush glide down the hair and keep it from melting. I hope this helps!
