- This 7' high wall replaces an orginal 4' one. The video explains the ins and outs of the construction process. The wall is topped out with half round top stones and features a reclaimed post box that was walled into the construction.
Got to love Building “Control”😁.That drain is more likely to block now with that pvc pipe in it.Great video again.
Очень поучительный и интересный рассказ !
Многие люди даже не задумываются об
отводе грунтовых вод из обратной
стороны подпорной стенки !

Fantastic 👌
Great video as ever buddy! Informative and knowledgeable! Can't wait for PT.2!
Damn whipper snappers
Another inspirational video. I keep your videos for future reference while restoring my old house. I have yet to require dry srtone work. Mostly soft brick with soft lime mortar at this point, but I see a dry stone wall in my future.

Great vid...can't wait for Part 2. I'm starting a large dry stone wall myself and this really helps. I will get started on the foundation while I'm waiting. Cheers
Good stuff.
I've searched high and low on the internet for info to contact you. I couldnt find any. In the comments on your video here you mention you are from Pendle. Are you too far away from Settle to consider some lime mortar repairs to my house? All i can do is hope you read this and somehow we get to talking job👍👍
Hi Ralph, Hope it's not the Ralph McTell typing from below the ground..?!
Many thanks for the interest. I'm currently booked up for the next few years unfortunately. There is a mighty job coming up at Dent. I've stopped taking new projects on at the moment.
@dportercontracting9974 thanks for reply. I shouldn't be surprised you're booked up. Could you recommend anyone who knows what they're doing with NHL5? I m due to move to Horton in Ribblesdale in few weeks and have an iffy stack.
My actual name is Martin- it's a long story! Your saying "talking from underground " had me checking to see if he was dead. He's still alive.
Anyway nice talking to you Danny? Let me know if you could recommend someone competent. May your god go with you, MM.
That job looks like it’s in sabden, come give you a lift
Well spotted Pro- wall. The walling is done for the time being. Do you work in Pendle?
@@dportercontracting9974 yep when I get work their you travel into pendle and I travel out to get work madness
@@pro-wall5005 The joys of the commute. I'm based in Pendle so it's only a 20 minute jaunt down the road for me to Sabden.
We ain't cracked up to be brasses
Most navvies weren’t Irish haha they constituted about 10% of the total navvy workforce at their peak.
Great news. Did you enjoy the video and learn one way of making a dry stone wall..?
@@dportercontracting9974 oh without a doubt, great informative video, you’re a much better Waller than myself. I just can’t help correct people when they continue to spread misinformation surrounding who actually built infrastructure in this country. Seems to be a lie that is amplified and gladly repeated.
