Love you Mr. Baker. You were the greatest gate keeper of the hall of fame. I visited the hall of fame and i will admit i shed tears walking inside the building. So much history just ran thru my soul that i feel in love with football even deeper.

As a lifelong fan of watching your door knocks and the genuine appreciation you have for the gentleman who have given so much to our great game, it warms my heart seeing you next to the richest man in the world dawning the colors of the team that I have devoted Sundays to since I was 7, now 37, and solidifying my notion that you don’t have to be a genius, to be rich, being that Mr.Buffet is a Dolphins fan lol. Fins up and before anyone goes nuts, I know Mr. Buffet is one of the most important minds of our generation.

Hey Dave, been near 60 years since I played basketball with you and Bill in the Downey Junior Athletic Association and Downey middle schools. Glad to see you've done well.
    Best. KC

I miss seeing him do his knocks, but respect with a burning fire him retiring and spending his years with his family. Thank you Mr. Baker for everything you did for The Hall and for the game of Football.

Thank you for the great video. It always seemed that Mr. Baker was a great steward of the HOF and well respected by the players. Relieved they found a way to move forward with "HOF Knocks" after his retirement, but he is certainly missed.

@@jacoyus2012 that’s good, as it should be. I sure hope it’s the second part to this video and actually has the “gotcha” moment of knocking on David Bakers door.
      Otherwise this title is CRAZY.

The running backwards was the peak that hurt his chances. I believe he played 19 years??? And didn't miss a game. He definitely deserves a bronze bust for sure and this coming from a dir hard bears fan

Mr. Baker, you're truly a gentle giant filled with love, compassion, and wisdom. When you knocked on the doors of those athletes who you informed of their H.O.F. selection, I pictured myself in their shoes. Although far from a H.o.f. athlete I thought back of all the sacrafices my parents made for me during the years. Im in tears and filled with emotions. Thank you.
