I was 20 years old when I started using fentynal. the reason for why I started was because eventually my oxy contin addiction became way to exspensive for me to keep up with, I kept taking it to the next level and I pushed it to the point where fentynal was the next step because I became broke and fentynal was a lot cheaper than the oxy's. What happened though is that my tolerance kept raising everytime I took it to the next level, so which meant I was having to spend a lot more on the fentynal than I originally was spending ever on my oxy addiction. I just turned 25 in February and I'm 3 and a half years sober taking my 4 years on October 30th. I have been working at a homeless shelter giving back to my community for 2 years now. I got sober on October 30, 2018 and I never thought it was possible, it's sad to think about but I was ready to die at the age of 20. TO ANYONE WHO IS STRUGGLING WITH SUBSTANCE ABUSE OR A MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES, IM TELLING YOU RIGHT NOW IT DOES GET BETTER SO TAKE THE FIRST STEP AND GO TO A N/A OR A/A MEETING! Most importantly get a support network and find people that are "good influences" and cut out the "bad influences" in your life. (You are a product of your own environment) Also to the ones who are sober and used to have a substance abuse problem, just keep going and don't give up. Reach out to someone in your support network/safety net if you are struggling. Just remember your awesome. ✌️ Glad to see Lil xan got his sh*t together, shouts out to you man! 🎉
I don't know you lil xan but I'm proud of you for getting sober. Please always take your sobriety seriously and stay clean. You seem like a nice and down to earth guy that's on a great path. Absoultly...it's already a very western, american thing to post on social media and let everyone know your not self medicating any more because you know that absoultly everybody will give you mad props daily...you can post "it's my 134 day sober! Hash tag sober hash tag greatful hash tag one day at a time..blah blah...in most other places & w/ other cultures they would probably be like "okay, good for you but why do you keep posting how long it's been since you decided that you should probably stop partying quiet as much"...I know people are just trying to encourage these them and they are fishing for support to help with the process, but that and this neo hippy thing where everybody's decided that drugs are bad with the exception of the ones that are cool for the time being...it's all so arbritary..if you smoke weed and drink a bit & do some coke on occasions and have fun doing it without much issue, but then you get an opiate habit and you realise it's causing you problems and you realize you need stop...there's no way your going to go on social media and tell everyone you've stopped using opiates but your still using all the drugs you did before you got addicted to oxytocin or whatever & that everything is great again...instead of getting a million likes and comments of encouragement from everyone you've ever met...you'd get blasted by people that you haven't got clean and your in denial, and you need more help...it forces people to BS because they want that over the top support from everybody they think the universe or whatever has promised them...and if you do just say your clean and that's that, and people catch on your still using the old drugs you allways have they are gonna either throw you an intervention because its so bad and your in denial or they'll call you out and you'll have half the people youve ever known write you off as a liar & hopeless junkie....they pressure of socieity withholding praise and approval if you don't completly stop putting anything in your body that makes you feel different and live like a monk and grow kale out of an old acoustic guitar and never even take a Tylenol if you got a headache...then there's no seat for you at the table, no appaluse neccary guys...that alot to have to take on and is scary ass he'll for someone that's been doing drugs for a long time and are self medicating for different issues and things...it makes you feel that solving your issue has to mean getting off everything...and that in turn means mean you'll never be able to loosen up & party on the weekend again or you'll never be able to even get a head change again after a streelssful day...the anxiety associated with thi all or nothing approach is crippling for someone who just needs to get a better handle on things and correct some stuff & be healthier...it's scary as he'll and heavily discourages serious, espicaly older users...not everyone is the type of person that if they have a sip of beer a week later they're going to be banging speedballs and hotrailing crystal meth....it's an attempt to have a one size fits all fix when the reality is every person's situation is dynamic, complex and completly different...I think there's some real ethical issues whit this as well as risks like forced withdrawls at your body's weakest point...the reason there's an 85% recidivism rate after rehab is because these people started taking these drugs for a reason and when they get out they still have these same issues that are now going Un medicated...at some point they'll seek relief again since the rehab experience was not wholistic what so ever and you are tired of being in pain or anxious all the time so you go back to self medicating some....then soon as you do because of this all or nothing stigma attached to getting clean, you feel like you've gone and failed again so what's the point and then right back to it full blast...when it's biology, chemistry & pharmacology your talking it's never going to be all that simple..we have the ability to sit down with someone who has a problem and help them with fixing it, so they can be happy again....except your not eligible for this service because you still want to treat your issues with something not FDA approved...dextox and rehabs are a total money machine just like a casino and will treat you like a casino too...as soon as your tapped out i.e dextoxed....you get tossed to the curb with empty pockets...a real love you and leave you type relationship as soon as the checks stop comming in...this country could handle users issues correctly and help them...it just chooses not too because it's easier & more profitable to either lock people up or let them dig their own grave...it's so sad and infuriating at the same time

I’m so proud of him!!!! Steve-O’s podcast is one of the best & deserves more recognition. Glad he found something to be passionate about! Each episode is so interesting & genuine.
The whole beginning of this video is Steve-o calling him out for not being legit sober lol
I think stevo gets better the older he gets. Just an amazing showman all-around.
Indubitably.
If you think that, then you're delusional, just like most people on this planet.

steveO respects everyone. Maybe he's trying to support others with addiction. Maybe he's reaching out to these kids to help them.
Paying it forward.
even tho I don't like the kids'music, anyone that has an addiction and gets clean, deserves a pat on the back...keep it up kid.
💯💯

@Heroinsniffer4life gator tail never heard that expression. What’s that
Getting sober requires yourself to find that switch inside of your brain, but sometimes the switch finds us
I don't know you lil xan but I'm proud of you for getting sober. Please always take your sobriety seriously and stay clean. You seem like a nice and down to earth guy that's on a great path. I actually just heard your newer song NODA and it's sick! Keep reaching for the stars, stay clean, focused and grinding!

OMG 😂😂😂
i like how honest he is
i feel like the people doubting his sobriety also need to have a look at what sobriety means to each individual. i saw xan in 2017-18 perform back in my hometown, and dudes entire demeanor is different, its VERY clear that he is at the very least, clean from the harder stuff. dude is a bit slow but he is way more articulated than he used to be. hope he stays that way 🤟🏼
He closes his mouth now?

I never heard of lil xan before, but he seems like a chill kid
This is the best interview that Xan has ever done. He seems much more clear headed than before and it really humanised him. My only issue is him calling women 'hoes'. No need for that. But overall, a solid interview.
His head actually WAS clearer than all those years before. 😂

I was curious if he was going to drop the stage name due to sobriety… and he addressed that. Good job young man
stevo's description of what music is was exceptional. It's like he worded something I not only knew how to explain, but something I subconsciously believed myself, I just wasn't aware of it.

Steve-o and his quest to interview every shitty mumble rapper out there continues lol.
I unexpectedly really like your interviews with these controversial individuals, you got a perspective and the experience which can be useful for them, thank you :))
Fr bro
Why is Lil Xan controversial? Because his music is bad?
@@ShivaOO7 It's more so that you know that at least 20% of people are going to immediately hit dislike and not watch the video and also, considering his interview guests so far, he knows that maybe 20% of his audience has prior knowledge of who Lil Xan is. So, he is knowingly just giving them a platform to be heard and maybe give them some advice that's going to be beneficial to them :)
Or in simpler words, when he has someone like Johnny Knoxville, he knows he can expect millions of views and positive reactions, when he has someone like Lil Xan on he can't be so sure of that :)
