That’s required on a DC3 you need to keep the tail flying as long as possible or you will lose rudder and pitch and lose directional control - it’s always beautiful to watch when executed properly. Some recent DC3 accidents can be attributed directly to loss of tailplane authority

Ive been lucky enough to have some hands and feet on time in an Auster - that was circa 1982🤔😳😳💜💜 I was also luck enough to have a ride in an ex 666 sqd Scout too. As a kid I made models of most of these aircraft - happier times ✌️💜

Únicamente sirvió con la Aviación Española, pintado de azul completamente, con las escarapelas rojo y gualda y la Cruz de San Andrés en el timón de cola. ----- A shame. The Hispano Aviación HA-1112 NEVER served in the Luftwaffe nor was it painted with that colors. Only served with the Spanish Air Forces, painted completely blue, with the red and yellow cockades and the Cross of Saint Andrew on the tail rudder.
