Can we only have 4 abilties and 1 ultimate skill?? I'm so sick of ARPGs doing this. Who wants to spam the same 5 abilties over and over again? So boring
Well so, I guess League of Legends being the most played game in the world is boring ? It only has 4 abilities :( That's my take on this, but I think having 4 skills only allows for more impactful and dynamic gameplay where your only 4 skills are actually very impactful and their cooldown management is key to success. And if you played League of Legends for a long time and not just casually, you know.... using your skills effectively requires real skill, and 4 skills is way enough.
Not only are we limited to just 4 abilities equipped, but we can't even swap those 4 abilities to make unique builds. Each character/class literally only has 4 abilities. This game is like a PVE version of Smite/league of legends. It is barely an ARPG. @IngeniusSoul
@@IngeniusSoul I have thousands of hours in LoL. But Wayfinder is supposed to be an ARPG. Imagine if in Diablo, every Barbarian was using the same 4 skills. Like, do you not agree that the game would be better if we had the option to choose from more skills??
@@unscathedpotato Oh there was a misunderstanding. I thought you were talking about how many skills we have active at the same time. Okey so. About it, I don't know. I prefer having static abilities, like in LoL, but I'd agree that 3 characters is quite a limited amount of choices. So I agree with the lack of depth in it. We could have more, I agree. Even tho, I like when a whole skills set is predefined, and designed to be impactful, to synergise, I like having a design of skills that is well thought. Like, in League of Legends, there is a reason why you can't mix up different abilities. These abilities work together, in symbiose, and it is designed to give the character and its gameplay a strong identity. It avoids you to be imposed a skills set by a META that will dictate you what you must play if you want to perform well. But this is my personal, very biased, humble take
@@XEL2103 Yeah, switching the game completely to what was promised, making the founder packs literally pointless since you can just mod the stuff in the game now and also not allow for refunds. What a great thing they did
@@SurrealLeaf If you would open your eyes and read, you would've seen that I already tried to get a refund from the devs but, I can see you are most likely another bootlicker for the company that developed this scam.
Because most ARPG's in existence are classes with set characters than custom characters. The only games I can possibly think of that use generics are Grim Dawn and Titan Quest and even then you can't really customize their appearance beyond a gender toggle. The max you ever get for a game like this without it being a full-on MMO (like PSO for example) would be Diablo 4 or Torchlight 2 where you have some degree of appearance customizability. You don't role-play for story in these games, you role-play in your builds.

As someone who bought the exalted founder pack I would have agreed with this if they had shut the game down. They didn’t and continue to support it.

Decent game but .. no character creation, what's the purpose for playing adventure game if you can't play it with your very own character.
