The Bad Lip Reading guy is in the music industry. His mother lost her hearing and had to learn to lip read. She's good at it, but when he tried it, he wasn't good at it. It's not easy because from the outside you can't see all the things people do inside their mouth, and you can't distinguish voiced from unvoiced consonants. If you were a programmer, I'd say it's like a bad hash function with lots of collisions, but instead I'll say that lots of different sequences of words look the same. That's how, in the hilarious BLR take on _Hamilton_,, he can show Lin-Manuel Miranda singing "Alexander Hamilton" but replace the words with "Axe Assassin Albertson". You really should check out "Axe Assassin Albertson" along with "Russian Unicorn", his transformation of Michael Buble's "I Just Haven't Met You Yet" (Mr. Buble was way cool; he posted a response to RUclips--he loved it, and called the BLR guy an "evil genius"), and his creation of a collaboration between Jay Z., Bruno Mars, and Lady Gaga, "Morning Dew".

So the "Bad Lip Reading" channel basically came up with words that it looked like people were saying for various clips (if the sound was off), and it was often hilariously random gibberish. This was the first video that they made into a song. It was relatively easy, since Yoda does 90% of it, and he's a Muppet, so they can say pretty much have him anything and it fits just fine.

The fact that Disney showed a 20+ minute long Bad Lip Reading of High School Musical ON CHANNEL says absolutely everything you need to know about how good these people are. So, they do this by looking at the shape of the mouth and using other words that use the same mouth movements. Such as at the end. Yoda says "You will be" but the words "Don't fall asleep" make the exact same mouth shapes. What blows my mind is how good they are with music.
So as you sing this song while walking around, people look at you in a certain way. Those who know this song smile and sing along. Especially the Bushes of Love.

Bad Lip Reading are the absolute BOMB! Sooooo much good stuff... a load of other Star Wars songs like this ('It's Not A Moon,' Bushes of Love,' 'Hostiles On The Hill...') plus ones from other movies and tv shows, including 'Choo Choo Go' from The Hunger Games. However, even if you watch nothing else of Bad Lip Reading, there are two you HAVE to see: their Game of Thrones Parody 'Medieval Fun-Time Land,' and Carl's song from their Walking Dead parody series 'Carl Poppa.' The first is a comedy masterpiece, and the second... my god, that song is so mad catchy it will be stuck in your head for at least a week afterwards!
You know how people mishear lyrics sometimes...Bad Lip Reading just takes that to the next level by actively inserting words in their mouths...lol 🤣😆 Star Wars Bushes of Love is a must watch. 😊

Bad Lip Reading is so amazingly creative. I mean yes, the videos are goofy and silly, but you have to admire the talent of being able to put together these videos, which, if you don't know the originals, it's hard to differentiate what the Bad Lip Reading video is showing vs what was originally said. Plus, they must be doing something right to get people like Mark Hamill, Jack Black and Maya Rudolph to do voiceovers for them!
BLR is amazing! Their first videos took actual music videos and switched out the music, but they had to take so many down that it wasn't really worth doing anymore. They however have done politicians, sports, as well as High School Musical (hilarious!). You should definitely check out "Everybody Poops" (Bad Lip Reading of the Black Eyed Pea's), "Russian Unicorn" (Bad Lip Reading of Michael Bublé), "Morning Dew" (Bad Lip Reading of Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, & Jay Z), and my personal favorite "Magic Man" (A Bad Lip Reading of Ludicris and The Beegees).
Just a suggestion for you Maggie, there is a RUclips channel called Southern Raised and just like other groups they do covers of classic songs Just Like Home Free did with Man of Constant Sorrow. Well, Southern Raised does a cover of the classic Marty Robbins song Big Iron and it is awesome. The guy singing it has a bass voice like Tim from Home Free. You should definitely check it out because I know you will love it. Thank me later. :)
