Honestly, it's my confusion that makes it better. I don't know what occurred in the actual movie, but this helps in the most delightfully unhelpful way.

Just realized that the whole "There's a cat with human eyes" bit is actually canonically correct for this series - since in the first book, the final Mutts hunting Katniss were wolf-creatures with human eyes (the eyes of all the dead tributes). Amazing.
