I'm asian and I'm having a difficulty determining whether I'm true summer or true winter. But thanks to your video, very informative btw, I've decided I'm a true winter.
Glad it was helpful!
First determine if warm or cool. If you are cool, you will be winter or summer. If warm, you will be spring or autumn. If you have high contrast between your eye color, skin color, and hair color, you are either a winter or a spring. If you have low contrast, you are an autumn or spring. So, warm/cool is determined first, then intensity.
I just had my first personal color analysis this morning in Kyoto! (Oct. 11, 2023) Although I have a background in graphic design and concept art, I was having a hard time determining my own personal color. 😂
tl;dr I'm cool/true summer and have cool/true winter as my second season. I'm super cool... 😎 But most of my wardrobe and makeup is for spring or autumn (warm) skin tone. lol
Like, as an East Asian person, I thought I was warm toned. Then, after finding about the four seasons and then the 12 or 16 types, I tried to find my type. First, I thought I was deep autumn. I loved the palette, but it also made me look more yellow and dark. Then I thought I might be spring instead, but also maybe summer as cool colors would suit me too. So maybe I'm neutral I wondered... XD
Well, in the end, I found out that I'm actually cool/true summer and cool/true winter as my second season (so I'm super cool toned).
75% of my wardrobe consists of autumn colors. No wonder I looked more yellow! 🌝 🙈 lol But the rest is summer or winter colors, so those are fine. 😊
I don't own much makeup (7 items), but my 2 mini eye shadow palettes are warm toned (spring and autumn), 3 of my lip products are deep autumn (warm), 1 lip tint is spring (warm), and 1 is actually cool summer. 😅
Alot of my students here in China have Monica Belluci's exact contrast
I just discovered I’m either true winter or true summer and I’m excited.
Thank you for sharing :)
Your video helped me soo much!! Now I finally know that I’m a true summer😊💘 thank you! I’ve always been struggling with this
You're so welcome! :)
Video idea: I would love to hear you talk about your own color palette and body type and how you style yourself… because you always look impeccable! I love your videos. They are so informative and soothing.
Thank you :) I will try to do that as soon as possible)
I love your description of the summer type here! It explains why I often feel drab and boring with my natural hair colour which is ashy and lacking warmth. I love to try reds and golden tones and feel very mousy in my natural state. Thank you for confirming that I am a summer type- and also why ash hair and cool tones often have me feeling drab and needing some warmth!
I do like clothing the summer range but not so much hair and makeup- this makes sense to me! 🎉
Also- love winter colours but they are overwhelming and stark when I wear them too contrasted and I lean more into spring or soft colour for my liking
Very same but only that I already have warm hair colour naturally 😊
You present this info so well! Would love to hear more about how true summers can create different images ?
Thank you :) Will do
Is True Winter = Cool Winter ?
In the standard 12 season system, yes.
It is
Not in 16 season system. In 16 season cool summer is flow palette between summer and winter
Great info! I would absolutely love it if you would cover Bright Summer. I finally had an analysis done and I sit between True Summer and True Winter. I have some contrast so the muted true summer colors drain me and the brightest colors of true winter are overpowering. I find that the info about sub types is so limited and really leads to a lot of confusion. I think that is one flaw with the 12 season analysis but it's definitely an improvement on the 4 season method.
In other videos I also talk about an "in transition" type, which you possibly might be.
@@FilosoFashion I'll have to look for that. Thank you❤
I didnt know there is a “bright summer”. I know there is a light summer though but it is limited to people with naturally very light hair and eyes. I believe I sit between summer and winter as well. The darkest winter colors are draining and make me look gothic. But the lightest summer colors dont add enough contrast. The “cool summer” palette seems it might work for you (not to be confused with true summer). Cool summer is in the 16 season system and sits between summer and winter and is more saturated than true summer but less so than winter. Typically these people have dark cool or dark ash brown hair.
@@Arginne I believe cool summer is the same as a bright summer.
Your videos are so consistently full of great content. Really good useful information. Thank you, from a Summer. Stay safe and well.
Thank you! I appreciate your opinion ;)

I think I’m a true summer and the only true winter colors I could pull off are teal or purple. Black washes me out so bad and so does a darker gray. Light gray is okay and is probably the best neutral on me, but I still don’t love how it looks.
Irish and French. Light cooler. Light brown hair and brown eyes. Which hmmm
youre taking examples of brown eyed winters. what about true winters with blue eyes😊
I talked about Julia Goldani in this video: ruclips.net/video/lmSkH5M6QmY/видео.html
@@FilosoFashion thank u 😊
