    Got an Orca 75 and I love it. I e had it a few years now. I use the Velcro net on the back for keeping a bunch of koozies in. Also, Orca has a lifetime warranty on theirs… and it helps that it is made in Tennessee too

    I have 2 Canyon 45s. Older models( more than 10 years old) than the one in this video, but they are both still going strong. I never had any reason to use the warranty yet. I have a Yeti also which is prettier , but not better built or designed than the Canyons.

    The yeti is also only 38 quarts, why they win a lot of competitions, as they list a "size" but it doesn't coordinate to size.

  • @alexhammond3898
    @alexhammond3898 Год назад +2

    I would say I would take the canyon or orca cooler over the other 2. Also, I'm pretty sure that the yeti is only about 37 quarts. So that may explain why it and the orca held ice about the same. Being that they are close to the same size and were closer to full with the amount of ice used. Thanks for the excellent comparison. You rarely see so many top brands in a single review.

    Orca has thicker plastic, made in usa 🇺🇸, has a way cooler design, and a lifetime warranty.
    Way better than Chinese made yeti.
    Yeti should be manufactured in Texas

    Thanks for putting our purpose built, purpose driven products to the test. We are a smaller compamy but we design engineer and assembled that cooler here in Arizona, and we have been around for the last 11 years learning and growing.
    Observations:
    How this test was run favors a smaller cooler, less air space, less surface area. If we wanted to win this particular test we would enter our 35 quart, which is comparably an inch more insulation then the standard roto cooler company uses. It is also only 3 quarts smaller then the YETI 45 SERIES (38 quarts). Pre cool the extra insulation and it works for you, or heat the cooler up before hand and it works against you especially on shorter tests. Understand and manipulate the right variable and anyone can be made to win.
    The Canyon PRO45 is 18% bigger then the YETI for instance. So about 18% more surface area and 18% more air to cool every time you open the bigger cooler and change the air out, which then has to be cooled again. The Canyon PRO45 has more insulation, and an insulated drain plug, but it would need to be pre cooled and totally filled with ice for that difference to show in a shorter test like this. Completely filling each cooler with ice would give you the same amount of ice per quart capacity. Some might say that is 'more fair' others might not agree.
    (We are not accusing the poster of any intentional malfeasance just offering observations that may help a few viewers out)

    My Orca cooler does very well with ice retention. It has a lifetime warranty and it's made in the U.S! Other coolers don't have a lifetime warranty and most are made in China

      I believe Canyon Coolers has a lifetime warranty. I have their 75 and it’s great. I also have some of their tumblers. I had one yet fell a few Times and the lid didn’t seal, I submitted a warranty claim and the sent me a new tumbler.

    Yeti’s are made in China. Over $300 for a cooler that was built for a bowl of rice. Unbelievable. Orca’s are made in the USA. I love mine

    I want to buy other name brand coolers like these but alot of these coolers be so close to a Yeti Price...
    I'll just spend the extra money and get a Yeti.
    It's a name brand thing also for me.

      That’s a good point. These are all very similar from a performance perspective though. I wouldn’t say that any one of these blows the other one away with ice retention or features so you could almost just pick the one you wanted based on appearance. They are all overpriced!

      Orca grizzly Cordova orion just to name a few all in same price point as yeti all great coolers one exception yeti isn’t made in the usa! The others mentioned are so yeti was at one time now they outsource there products to make cheaper but costs the same price to the consumer as the other cooler smentioned here just saying. And orca has been around just as long as yeti has.

    Canyon coolers are junk. They claim lifetime warranty. But have a bunch of hoops to jump through. I own three. Pad fell off of one the third time I used it on one. E-mail and sent pictures. No response. There is a company here in Pensacola that carries their coolers. I will be talking with the owner. Time for him to go with a different company.

    So Canyon is attempting to copy Kong with that cutting board. Kong is the original innovator on this feature. The canyon one is cheesy and looks like junk. Kong, Orca, and Cordova are the best, in my honest opinion.

    • @Recruitcreative
      @Recruitcreative  Год назад +1

      We will have to look into Kong and Cordova. We’ve never heard of those brands. Canyon isn’t the only cooler with the cutting board. We just so happened to have it for that cooler so we covered it. We don’t think it’s junk at all and you could argue that all of these coolers are copying each other lol

      We were making coolers long before Kong flattered us with a recessed latch design. Tables are nothing new, but our design is far cleaner and better then theirs, as well as being more versatile. We would be happy to offer you an up close look at our PRO model. I dont think you'll have the same impression.

      @@jasoncostello3471 Well then, I'll have to try one out for myself and if it's as you say, and as good or better as the Kong coolers I'm enjoying, I will stand corrected and admit it. I didn't mean to sound so offensive as I'm sure ALL cooler brands have their pros and cons. My apologies. Thanks for the input.
