    Glad to see more and more videos covering these classic cars.
    You won't see them on roads but at least you can get a bit of that experience from the film.

    These old classic cars hold tremendous amount of sentimental value and a bit of history. raw analog authentic and memorable driving experience with little to no high tech or nanny features. of course to some they drive like every other old cars but better.if you want the driving cars of course you should buy the best modern cars full of technology and power. But if money is no object to you, by all means shed $150 million to experience a piece of automobile history.

    Poor cars,destined to be inside "investment briefcase" in dark warehouse. Few cars might see sunlight when new owner has to transport them to new home, on a trailer.

    It’s sad that most of these classic cars end up in “investment” collections never to be really be driven. Their souls can’t shine if they aren’t on the roads.
    I do love what Kidston does with his videos creating a sense of character and emotion showcasing their true identity to hopefully touch on the souls of true car enthusiasts that will someday drive them rather than simply display them like a painting on a wall.

    what a load of marketing nonsense. until the late 1970s old racing cars were just second hand cars and they were bought by enthusiasts for resonable money and rightly so including all the Ferrari ex racing cars. Looking at cars as investments in recent years has just made them throw away toys for the rich, and put them out of the reach of many genuine enthusiasts.

    Kidston's remark that no prospective buyer asks how the car drives says it all... Most of these buyers are no petrolheads. They invest. I personally world prefer them to buy paintings, so car and motorbike prices can return down to earth. Because I am a petrolhead and these investors kill the market for the enthusiasts.

    • @rogerdodrill4733
      @rogerdodrill4733 2 месяца назад

      Totally agree! Classic cars (youngtimers included), although being an art pieces sometimes and often a result of great designer’s work and innovative thinking, still and most of all are symbols of liberation, of mobility, of sporting ambitions, glory, suffering and cause of death for so many great passionate pilots. Exactly because of the above they belong to the roads, streets, race tracks so they can shine, impress, entertain those who can appreciate them for what they are made to do - deliver joy of driving!
      Having a collection open to public os great, racing GTO in historic racing is wonderful, but I wish some of these super rich came up with “Free Ride Day” kind of idea. There are so many old and young petrolheads who’d die to have even one mile driven in one of these machines and get inspired to create something great. Also Enzo will be much happier up there knowing his cars are getting revved up and raced instead of collecting expensive dust in some multi billion mansion’s garage 😉
