I refuse to accept that build... For now - Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Damnation gameplay

- We were playing with a surge staff in the previous video and I was informed, about 30 minutes after uploading the video, that build is bugged due to "lightning being lightning" and buffs connected with Empowered Psionics did empower the surge staff as well. I am too fond of this build so we are playing with Trauma staff today! Enjoy and don´t forget to subscribe!

You don't have to stop smiting to use your shriek
Why do I know this NOW? *checks it in-game* You can literally shriek during anything - smiting, using staves etc. BIG Thank you!

The fun part about smite is that you also throw everything you're affecting in the direction you're looking, meaning if you look to the left, it will toss them to the left, or you can look back and pull them closer. I have thrown so many enemies off of ledges doing this.
I have thrown many poxbursters into my teammates, then gaslit them into thinking they're just bad at pushing

If you want an interesting build, use Purg Staff with Assail, Sneeze and Warp Charges. You can do warp charges with any % for kill to gain charge but I use gain warp charge on soul blaze because purg is soul blaze kill. You use Blaze on anything close with primary fire to push and second fire to Horde. Assail is used for ranges targets and you just have the advantage of demolishing every gunner in range when you have 5-6 you can use all bees with not even breaking 100%. And the single target Sword of your choice for when armor gets through your blaze. It’s really fun.
You can left click smite pox bursters to push them, knock them over and explode. If they dont die on the first spam, keep spamming it
I've been running as much ability cool down as possible with warp charges so you can spam fully buffed 80-90% parel shreaks while smiteing sometimes more than once on damnation per horde
So long as you have the talent that spreads soleblase every wave of horde catches the next on fire
I do pretty much only Auric Maelstrom - Trauma staff dominates (over Surge even).
A good Ogryn or Vet will still smash you in damage even with the bug.
So when this gets "adjusted" (FatShark doesn't adjust, they knee-cap things) it will go back on the shelf.
What causes everyone to bitch is when you take something too strong into low level (non auric) because there's nothing to fight and they get upset that the limited targets get destroyed.
I cannot agree with you more and will forever remember "knee-capping" as nerfing/balancing.

Smite is so fun to use with empowered psyonics
i dont even consider this a bug. 1400 damage isnt terribly crazy. Heavy Evisc spec with bonus to maniac and unyielding gets me up in that range.😊
I know and agree. However it is still unintentional part of the kit so people will sharpen their torches and light their pitchforks on fire for it.
Oh my god, I didn't even know that was a glitch. I thought the Surge staff was just critting or something!

But no really. Try smite on like voidstrike or gunpsycher. You can still unlimited power, just feels more like deep breathing because you have to vent the peril now. But even with out the empower. When things would hit the fan, smite let me just cc and not worry about the damage while swapping to the sword or gun to blow things up.

I am truly looking forward to be using it with voidstrike. I know voidstrike smacks with any build and - I am scared of gunpsiker.
Yes this needs to be fixed. But without this bug the surge staff is actual garbage so I hope they buff the surge at the same time they fix this bug. Right now it just feels terrible to use and I love the surge staff but god it sucks without this bug.
This looks like a fun build. I might try it, but I'm so used to my crowd control pyro that I'm afraid i will drag my team down, lol.
smite is fantastic
i dont think its bugged use it with assail its the same damage (or seems the same, im hitting the exact same breakpoints) edit: i just tested meat grinder, its not a bug its the same damage on assail as it is with smite.
Did you actually have empowered psionics active? Because as somebody who uses Smite/Surge I can tell you for a fact that there's increased damage once it becomes active. I felt it in mission, and I see it in the meat grinder too.
Even without empowered psionics it's really decent. You can three shot crushers on damnation.
I didn't actually know about the bug so when I used it without empowered psionics or smite I thought the buff from the latest patch was why everyone flocked to it
@@hellfeesh Definitely agree. I myself just started using it to try something other than Purgatus for once. Will probably still use it when it gets fixed.
@@HolyApplebutter yes theres increased damage.. and same with assail.. and same with BB they do the exact same. same break points, same everything. just copy the same build and use all 3. thats what empowered psyonics does, increases damage, crits, and guess what surge does? says fuck you to armor, thats a recipe for raw damage.
My purge should do 650 damage on normal hit. It hit for 1400 with a stack of psionics while having smite. If it works with a stack of psionics while having assail... Well. It is tied to psionic stacks and Fatshark didnt just spaghetti code but gave us the lamb sauce with it.
The way you aim the trauma staff bothers me grately... The center of the explosion should be the center of your crosshair >=/

No surprise at all in a world full of people who just celebrate in idolized cheaters in a world where it's okay to do steroids even though your profession is about your body and your muscles in world, where it's okay to steal from someone near you as long as you're rich when you're done.... The whole point is for you feel accomplished having beat the game, but if you use something that's clearly unintentional and buggy to win then you're just a loser POS. What you're doing is trying to make it your entire living (job if it can be called) and by proxy encouraging other people around you to make their living by generating RUclips videos or other social media content. First of all, I do not meet minimal requirements to make any money on RUclips because as of this moment I have 344 subscribers which is not enough.
Second of all, this shows you do not follow the channel nor the stream or even watched this video for the first 2 minutes where I explained the previous video, in which I used this bugged build but I do not accept it, and therefore made this video where I showcase the build without any glitches and bugs.
Third of all, you may live by the rule "Ignorance is bliss" but I do not. I want people to know what is going on and be completely transparent rather than keep things in the shadows.
Lastly, if you have a problem with people having only content creation as their prime income, fine. However, I do have a normal job and this is just for fun.
Now go on Reddit, whine how cruel internet people are and please kindly, leave this place alone.
