For those that are wondering you can purchase the single trigger version, in my opinion the dual trigger option is a terrible idea since your object must be held by something.
Just bought one. No horseshit front trigger safety thank God. I was worried until it got delivered. It's worth the money. Master electrician. I use DeWalt tools at work. They're very well made and do an excellent job. I bought Milwaukee fuel for personal use. They make DeWalt XD tools feel like Ryobi.
I can see why a lot of these guys that still work in construction would hate the dual trigger, but I think it's pretty nice for personal home use. The cuts I used to do on the job site were pretty sloppy compared to the cuts I make at home so the dual trigger isn't even a bother because I would likely have whatever I'm cutting at home in a vice or something anyway.
That dual trigger is a deal breaker. I work solo most of the time. I'm not bringing out a vice as stand to cut rod or strut. I hold the material with one hand and the bandsaw with my other hand. That safety feature is overkill. I'll keep my old bandsaw.
I have the original full size Fuel Band Saw and if this new iteration is anything like the original, then it’s an awesome saw for sure! The duel trigger is cool I guess, I just can imagine using a band saw with only 1 hand though IMO. I had to cut some fence post and man that blade jumped at first so both hands were kinda necessary. Stay safe man don’t forget to wash your hands!
Yeah bro, whatever is going around is kind of scary bro. Definitely be safe buddy. Haha, yeah that's why I like the Dual trigger. To many guys wanting to one hand everything
Dual triggers really! How many hands do they think I have. I probably use my current bandsaw with 1 hand 95% of the time. Sorry but if you're that incompetent that you need 2 triggers so you don't hack off digits than you shouldn't be using the tool to begin with.
YO TRZ!! That saw is great, cuts so smooth!! I've never used a handheld band saw but always wanted one, though not sure how much use I would actually get out of it. Great vid brother! I also like the safety features.
I'm definitely not a fan of dual triggers but great review. If I can buy one without duel triggers and a good after market work station/table I'm in.....thanks again
After a week and a half of having mine, the bolt and cap that go over the drive wheel had somehow came loose and popped off without me realizing. Was cutting a piece of 3/8 rod and the wheel and blade just shoot off and roll down the hall. Spent an hour looking around where I had been working on the jobsite and couldn't find the bolt and cap. Luckily the bolts that go with 1/2 to 1" kindorf straps are the same thread size and pitch so I just cut one down and put it in with a washer
You can see the influence of lawyers in the design process, especially with the prosumer market. Dual triggers to start. And the rafter hook is designed to point the blade away from the user. A holster type draw at 6:45 would face the blade towards the user.
Hi it is nice but you didn't triyin to cut metal sheets that more than the band saw gap wich is about 4 or 5 inches how it 'll be when cutting metal plate or sheets .
When you think about it they put the rafter hook where it is because of the trigger order needed to start the saw. If it was hung the way you describe, it is very easy to accidentally start the saw because the way you would naturally grab it is the same as the order needed to get it going, while with the way they have it if you were to pick it up and press both triggers it wouldn't matter because you would naturally press the front trigger first, and then swing it up to grab the rear handle. on the other hand if you are hanging it above you it becomes easier to avoid the rear trigger when you grab it.
I don’t always have a table to hold the matietials I’m cutting. So one hand holds the pipe. One the saw. I can’t do that with this. For me that’s a issue. I’m still tempted to get it cause I need a beefier saw. The m12 is nice but it really lacks power.
Very informative review. Can you please comment on how hard it is to get a straight cut -- even with a line marked sometimes traditional bandsaw blades drift. Thank you
oh wow i was gonna buy the m12 fuel with higher capacity but then im torn dont know about the 2nd trigger being necessary, i mean i have the locking fuel angle grinder and it only has that one locking switch and its far more dangerous, PLUS m12 grinder is probably more dangerous than this thing, that thing kicks when it slips!!
It comes with a strap on LOL but I like the pistol grip style of the pipe cutter it's a little different than yellow one but like the design of it but that thing cuts like butter
@Jack Braddell that was in the video u obviously didn't watch so watch the video you see the LOL and then when you're done watching the video keep your comments to yourself
TRZ bro I love that band saw. Hey would you happen to know what size blades go on there in other words how long are they? Also how much is that going for. Yes I definitely need one of those. Awesome video. Peace brother
I love the saw but the dual trigger takes away a one handed operation...I typically cut my threaded rod with one hand holding the rod and one hand on the saw...this takes away that freedom and now you need a vice of some sort on hand at all times...
This 2 handle trigger is so dumb. Why do this when neither of Milwaukee's previous cordless bandsaws had this.I will have to wait till this comes out on the second hand market for half the price and will rig the second trigger to be pressed at all times.
Damn that new trigger set up is gay. I barely ever use two hands when I use mine. And if im cutting rod for hangers, I got like 6 rods in my left hand and cut all 6 at 1 time with the saw in my right. I'm buying 1 before they discontinue
@@ToolReviewZone but also I had a question looking to purchase a air pump I've looked at the Ryobi air pump and after purchase a battery the DeWalt which is a little expensive and the Milwaukee M12 which my father already has a few batteries what do you think of the Milwaukee air pump
I have a ? It's not really related to this video but I want to purchase a air pump I've been looking at the Ryobi the Milwaukee and 12 the DeWalt and a couple others from Home Depot not looking to spend that type of money on the DeWalt the Ryobi I have no batteries that I have to get a charger and battery with the air gun and the Milwaukee I have for my father and 12 so I can buy to only just for jobs that are far away plus summer is coming to blow up the pool toys what do you think of the Milwaukee M12 air pump
Worst idea ever for pipe runners.. Try to trim a piece of all thread or kendorf while on a lift of something already installed that needs to be shortened by yourself...guaranteed the peice being cut off falls 30 feet to the ground because you can't hold it with the other hand.
I've worked with every size single trigger Milwaukee, and Dewalt portaband for years. The dual trigger is a huge limitation on what you can do with a band saw. Also, the blade is doing all the work. Let's be honest, any machine that rotates the blade smoothly at a decent speed will be exactly comparable to the Milwaukee. As long as the rubber gasket that grips the blade stays in good condition, and the blade itself stays in good condition, the bandsaw itself doesn't really matter who makes it. Stop trying to kiss insurance company butts by adding safety limitations to our already over limited livelihoods.
I love this tool but milwaukees blades suck!! Their 1/4 hex bit chucks suck and the 6 inch blades that come with hackzall or sawzall are garbage... Love their tools but I'm dropping 279 on a tool, give me good multiple size teeth blades
Dumbest "safety" feature ever!!!!! Hate the handle saftey I don't always have a vice near by so I use full size band saws one handed all the time defiantly not buying this

It's pretty cool how you can start the cut while resting the blade right on the all-thread. The saw didn't even jump around in the slightest. 👍
Yeah its definitely an awesome saw bro. May need to o a Tool Duel with the Ryobi 😎
@@ToolReviewZone aren't you that FLEX hater guy when FLEX came out?
Wow!! Straight to the point 👍👍👍

charles king bruh... there are two models... one is dual trigger and the other isn’t. He mentions that.
Awesome review
Baddest bandsaw to date. Great Review
I like how easy it is to change out the blade and use
Very nice tool and demonstration like the dual trigger design Clint

I agree. A big part of the beauty of these little saws is one-handed operation
OHSA....
Milwaukee website is showing two new models with and without the dual trigger.
They have a single trigger version as well
Jade bylund the dual trigger is an option, iv hand the regular for a week now and it’s the exact same amazing saw without dummy switch
YO TRZ!! That saw is great, cuts so smooth!! I've never used a handheld band saw but always wanted one, though not sure how much use I would actually get out of it. Great vid brother! I also like the safety features.
Famous Amos!!! What's up bro. Yeah they are great if you do a lot of metal cutting, and this one is beastly 💪
Almost bought one then I learned about dual trigger. Not gonna happen. We like it because you can run the old one with one hand!
They have the same one without the safety switch
I'm definitely not a fan of dual triggers but great review. If I can buy one without duel triggers and a good after market work station/table I'm in.....thanks again
You certainly can
That dual trigger thing. F that! I have the M12 version and it's perfect for 1/2" & 3/4" EMT or PVC. Great video TRZ!!!

Thanks Dan -Da - Man! Yeah I don't think it's for everyone, so that's probably why they came out with two models. As a Safety Guy, me likes 😁😁😁
Tool Review Zone I agree safety wise it’s awesome. As a former construction worker it’s a bit of a pain
That thing looks badass
I have the deep cut and it is really hard to cut straight... how about this model? Is it any good in cutting staight line?
You can see the influence of lawyers in the design process, especially with the prosumer market. Dual triggers to start. And the rafter hook is designed to point the blade away from the user. A holster type draw at 6:45 would face the blade towards the user.
They have another non-safety trigger option
Where at without the safety feature the older bandsaws
Did you get to use the reamer?
Damn cute like butter!
Hi it is nice but you didn't triyin to cut metal sheets that more than the band saw gap wich is about 4 or 5 inches how it 'll be when cutting metal plate or sheets .
Does this work on wood also?
When you think about it they put the rafter hook where it is because of the trigger order needed to start the saw. If it was hung the way you describe, it is very easy to accidentally start the saw because the way you would naturally grab it is the same as the order needed to get it going, while with the way they have it if you were to pick it up and press both triggers it wouldn't matter because you would naturally press the front trigger first, and then swing it up to grab the rear handle. on the other hand if you are hanging it above you it becomes easier to avoid the rear trigger when you grab it.
Imagine seeing this tool 50 years ago? Unreal
so trying to decide, for someone that cuts lots of 2 7/8" tubing and occasionally 1" square tubing, is it better to get the compact or the deep cut?
Can u disable the safety button
I don’t always have a table to hold the matietials I’m cutting. So one hand holds the pipe. One the saw. I can’t do that with this. For me that’s a issue. I’m still tempted to get it cause I need a beefier saw. The m12 is nice but it really lacks power.

FOR DUAL POWER
So how.do you hold the material you're cutting on the job site?
Yep, it is not work with one hand operation. Not for electrician on scissor lift and try to cut threaded rod or EMT.
Anyone know how to defeat the dual trigger? My company switched us over to all dual triggers and it's driving me mad.
I'm thinking about picking this up for weld fabrication it's way lighter then my full size m18 band saw

That double trigger thing suck so much
