Dude love your channel. I watch it all the time. I went down in that area to build some elevators the year before last and got to do some fishing in that area. Didn't have much luck. But I got to meet and mingle with a lot of the local guys down there. Had one of the times of my life. This video is absolutely awesome this man. I would love to be able get down there with you guys and get on the boat and sling some flies.

Why the short net handle?

Yeah what’s up with that net; do you fly with it? They don’t use nets down there?

They fit nicely in the hatch of the skiff. The collapsible nets just don't hold up to scooping big redfish. Redfish are very head/front heavy and both of the short nets in this video have quite deep bags. If you get his/her head and "shoulders" in the net, it is not coming out. I've landed several fish over 25 lbs with the orange net in this video - my largest netted fish in that same model was this past weekend and was a fish that was over 30 lbs/48inches.

The most common thing I hear when people from northern states catch their first. Redfish is “ whoa that doesn’t feel like a trout.” yes Redfish and Most salt water fish fight relatively hard.

Redfish fight a good bit harder than any bass of similar size. Also with the bigger fish, even after they have done their runs and are just bulldogging you, their profile makes them hard to drag in.
