I believe that having a garden is good not just for the food it grows but for our souls as well. Gardening does something good for our inner selves that cannot be explained well in words. It also keeps us active and out and getting some exercise. Glad that you are careful in the high heat. Be sure and drink plenty of water. Take care.

I have the first edition of Square Foot Garden also. Was gardening when we lived in the city and I had veggies growing everywhere. The kids were just little and they loved to look in the bushes in our yard every day where I would plant tomatoes ,peppers, cucumbers. They would look like Christmas trees some times they had so much on them. Summer squash I grew on the sides of the fence and the neighbors always told me how pretty my yellow flowers were. I never told the HOA it was squash. They would have died if they knew I had little gardens.

Yes, I worked in my garden today. I’ve already planted speckled butterbeans, butter peas, green beans and zinnias. They are just starting to come up. Today I put in my tomato stakes and got everything laid out to plant my tomatoes and peppers. Will get those planted tomorrow. Next will be my squash, zucchini and pickling cucumbers. Last will be my okra and sweet potatoes. My husband has been sick so I’m only able to work an hour or so each day. Enjoy your channel. Thank you for taking care of the black cats. I have one and she’s the sweetest cat.

I done it for a lot a years, yankin and a pullin grass out a flower beds and gardens. Around here, there be some kinda grass, I don't know what that stuff is, but Lord have mercy, it got the longest roots on it I ever did see on grass; and ya can't get rid of it, no matter if ya dig it up or pull it, it has such a big root system, it don't never die. Anyways, the old clothes line pole garden sure be lookin nice Mr. Tom. Looks like ya got a nice good heap a compost. I bet that sweet tea tasted good after doin all that work in the hot sun, bless your heart. Hope ya have a good rest tonight Mr. Tom. My husband has heart issues and is fixing to turn 75 but we want a small garden but can't bend and dig so we are going to plant in grow bags and buckets. No weeding and so much easier. You have to adjust things as you get older. Look forward to your garden.

Sweet Cleo❤️. I had a dog named Cleo as a child a million years ago. I know I've said this before but I lost my two kitties in the last 2 years at 16 and 17. I'm ready to adopt more but trying to make my apartment kitty safe for young cats. Noticed I said cats plural lol.

I kno i been watchin for years and youve had a compost pile and add kitchen scraps to it constantly!!!! N miz cleo takin care of your feet!!!!; lolol i used to watch Mel Bartholomew on PBS every saturday morn before i went out n bout for the day!!!!! And had orignal book but got stole from me but hav replaced several times!!!!! Grew veggies on my apartment balconey in containers for years,!!!! Now got Four 4'x8'x2' garden tubs cause all i got is boulders and a thimble of dirt and alot of 5gal buckets for tomatoes n peppers!!! took me an hour to watch got distractions goin on in the form of kittys drowning a mouse in their big water bowl!!!! Fyi i didnt kno they had a mouse all the splashing i thought kittys were playing in their water bowl. Yes they do. And 3 deer lookin in the kitchen window at us all!!!!!
Mr. Tom was scheduled to have his biopsy on Wednesday the 8th; I figure he's probably recuperating and resting up from it. It'll probably take him a while to get his strength back from it.
