His rivalry with Seb is so incredible.. Not many have such a relationship to their competitor.
Funny enough since he tied Schumacher today, I think the closest to two competitors having a similar relationship was Schumacher and Häkkinen. Those two had a ton of respect for each other (and while I havent found the interview, supposedly Schumacher has admitted that Häkkinen was the only driver he kinda feared).
But that is about a mutual respect for each other

This is really an option available to you in F1. As Lando Norris described them, "Slick-Ters" are basically "Softer Super Softs". They switch on at extremely low temperatures and if you can survive that awkward period of graining, and dry-not-dry, then you can be rewarded with your Inters turning into Slick-Ters. But because these worn Inters are so soft and are so sensitive at low temperatures, it can also be very easy to just burn the entire surface away and you'll just have no tyres left. You will run them down to canvas just like Lewis did in China in 2007. In the end Lewis (52 laps) and Perez (42 Laps) were the only ones to make it work. BUT... if it did rain again like some forecasts were saying, then Lewis and Perez would have fallen out of the points or could have easily ended up in the wall. That's motor racing for you.
interesting thing to note here, is that Lewis' old teammate, Jenson Button won some wet races by wearing down intermediates into a more slick compound in interchangable conditions, he even details it really well in the Sky Sports Watchalong they did on one of these wins. (think it was 2005? don't remember the race.)
still, always makes me wonder if it gave lewis some wet weather inspiration lol.

One of the best races I have seen. It had everything you could want. Lewis just shows why he is a x7 world champion. The pure dominance he showed when the track was drying out. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole race

@@blessed6252 I think he's the best of all time now, he wins in weaker cars and wins races he shouldn't - like the Turkish GP but while a lot of his haters are racists, I think some of it is simply tribal.

Hamilton, against all odds and barriers has inspired a generation of engineers and mechanics at Mercedes to build him a car that he can win with, again and again. Hamilton is such a class act. I am attracted to excellence and Hamilton has it in spades. Amazing. Plus, he is a top shelf human being. I have seen other sports figures succeed and turn into jerks, but Hamilton seems to always remember the rest of the team, the fans, he is a man of incredible positive character. The world needs heroes and he is one. Hats off Mr. Hamilton ! From a grateful fan !

Today's jaw-dropping win was a combination of _patience, stupendous tyre management, dogged determination and a smidge of good fortune._ The smidge of good fortune is, of course, that the elements played along at the very end. Any rain and a points finish would have been tough on what were essentially _"intermediateslicks"._ The man in the fastest car today, VER, showed a weakness in being _impatient_ and _overexuberant!_ VER and HAM are, I reckon, the two best drivers on the current grid.

Dear Mercedes, please show the 7 time world champ this... I am a kid who's wildest dream is to win a Formula One world championship. However, I don't even have a go kart right now, and I'm well past the age of which you should start karting. Before Covid-19, I would race Go-Karts at a go-kart rental race track, and I would win quite a lot. After the pandemic started, I haven't raced at all. Just when all hope was lost and I was about to give up my racing dream, you drove a legendary drive and won you're 7th title. Your radio message after you won really touched me, and it has put more wood in my fire. Thank you Lewis, for giving me the confidence, and inspiring me to start racing again. Even if I don't have my own kart. Your motto, never give up, has and will inspire me to make my way into Formula One... Thank you❤
