My husband has served in the RAF for 43 years now and still going. He was in the troop this year in front of the King and family and was so honoured and proud. 🇬🇧❤️🩹
Fabulous!!! No other country can do that with such perfection. I am from America, but my greatest congratulations, because we love UK as well!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Thank you for posting!
This is the "highlights" from the dress rehearsal. The atmosphere of the evening performance is missing along with most of the Festival performers and other individuals participating. Catch the full Festival programme here in a few days as the BBC usually download it for the Commonwealth who are intrinsically included in it's "Acts of Remembrance".
My dad was in the Royal Air Force I grew up watching this and still do at 69years. We were taught to honour and respect, and to stand for the Royal Anthem. Thank you to all our fallen heroes of the commonwealth and beyond. God Bless Our King!
A wonderful opportunity to express our gratitude to those who serve and to remember those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice. Their names liveth forever more. An excellent job, young man. Thank you for posting it.
Wow! What an incredible moment - and so moving. I’m so, so pleased this special annual event to remember ALL of the fallen still takes place. I attended in the afternoon and it was just fabulous! Thank you for sharing this wonderful video 🌺🇬🇧❤️
I am an old guy, every year i am determined not to shed a tear, until the families of those who have fallen recount their experiences of losing a loved one. You will never be forgotten, as a nation we owe you a debt that we cannot repay you, giving up your most loved one to the service of our country, Matthew Cornish you will never be forgotten, you and your family are for even in our hearts and prayers, thank you!
This is the dress rehearsal in the afternoon. The actual event is in the evening. The BBC televise it live which should be on here. Sorry haven't found it yet. Better quality in sound & picture. Very atmospheric with a full audience
I wish I had joined the armed forces when I was younger but didn't, but I praise all that are in forces and very proud of the men and women with in the commonwealth especially Great Britain. Bring back Natioal Service, Peter.
It was absolutely wonderful this year. Ever more colourful, poignant and sophisticated as the years pass. And the music brought tears to the eye.... Great job. 🇬🇧🎶
I thank everyone from all over the world for their service and sacrifices in all wars of the past and todays wars. Wish we could all just appreciate eachother's way of life and have peace live and accept our differences, but it's not going to happen in my lifetime . Peace to everyone, take care.❤🕊️
Beautiful to watch, my dad served in the 2nd West African Brigade in Burma. And an officer of the Forgotten Army. Thank you for an opportunity to watch in his memory. WE SHALL REMEMBER THEM.
Actually, this 2023 Royal British Legion (RBL) Festival of Remembrance was OK, but if you want to see a spectacularly good one watch the actual 2018 RBL Festival of Remembrance to commemorate 100 years since the end of WW1. This video was just the highlights of the afternoon's dress rehearsal without the informative commentary. Make sure the tissues are ready for the 2018 one!!!!
Amazing! I hope this tradition will not be lost, Britain should be proud, this is part of your culture, this makes your country even more respectable admirable, attractive to other people around the world.
@@christinewhitfeld7939 Those who hate your country are jealous, there are royals families in other countries but people, media don't talk about them. Why, because royal family in Britain is very famous, in outsiders perspective your country is more stable andcstrong, because we see rf the king holds more power, that any country cannot just defeat them. So british should support and love your country. With what is happening now, you should not let those visitors, migrants destroy your country.
What an unbelievable evening at The Royal Albert Hall recognizing those in The Services and remembering those who passed whilst saving our country. Though I am living in America, I am so proud of my British heritage and the dear friends who have passed or are still living to forward their memories to the next generation. Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful absolutely beautiful And I will add something in another comment but this I must say is the most beautiful sight that I have ever seen Never saw anything like this just absolutely beautiful
We in the UK have the best Armed Forces in the world and they are the pride of the UK, they always make me feel proud to be British. Those who ware the King's uniform and serve today are the Best of the UK, our Veterans are the inspiration who we love and respect for what they did to keep us safe, and those who gave there lives to protect us and to fight for freedom, democracy, sovereignty and peace are the heroes of the UK who should be remembered everyday, prayed for everyday and thanked everyday. My heroes are my late parents also my cousin who gave his life in WW2 fighting for good against evil while serving in the RAF as a Radio operator/ Rear Gunner in a Bomber and is Buried in Italy amongst his British and Commonwealth Brothers from the RAF. @@wodens-hitman1552 Sorry to hear that but I wasn't talking about that, I was talking in General for what I feel. Thank you for that lovely film.. I felt I was there amongst you all! So different than the BBC coverage. This was more touching. Tho’ I missed the “3 cheers For His Majesty”’!

Well done on posting this. Unusual to see footage of the rehearsal but well filmed and very interesting. We've been to the rehearsal and it's very good. It makes you feel that you are actually there. 🎉
This is the afternoon performance (which is not a rehearsal). Tickets are sold for the same price as the evening performance which is attended by the Royal Family.
Lovely! I assume that's from the 2pm performance? Would have also doubled as a test run-through, to iron out any final glitches before the 7pm royal performance in the evening.
I'll have to stop this halfway through.. I am getting ever so slightly impressed with the production! I'm a RADA boi and have lit some massive rock shows in my time, bang on perfect.. and know that venue..Credit where credit is due. Somewhat astonishingly superb, that musical theatre could not achieve in a lifetime..
So proud of our armed forces past and present. Great video, my partner and I have got our tickets for this year event. So looking forward to it 🇬🇧💂🏻♀️
I am proud to have served 24 yrs in the British Army. I’m even prouder of my brother who died in service. I always watch the festival of remembrance, with pride. Unfortunately, this year I was upset by the virtue signalling, and introducing politics into a somber act of remembrance. Was there really a need to bring up the windrush. I feel that an act of remembering the fallen (skin colour, creed, belief system, or cause are of no consequence), and thanking them for their sacrifice.
It was good but they could of acknowledged Alfie Boe he sang bring him home Beautiful and I've seen him sing this about 10 times live and as for the grumps in the Royal box you think they could afford a little smile.
Spectacular performance well done

Doesn’t each service have their own music?

We’re The Royal Military Police represented tonight.? I didn’t see any .
Does anyone know the piece of music being played by the organ at the start
And I had to stand and listen to people complaining and looking at their phones here in Canada at remembrance Day parade....
😢
But I saw other Canadians at their Remembrance parade in Gander in four or five inches of snow
Thank goodness many Canadians are respectful
Any standards there from South Africa or Zimbabwe, I wonder
