Tall Ship James Craig - Send Down the Main Royal Yard 2023

Volunteers of the Sydney Heritage Fleet send down the restored 1874 barque James Craig's Main Royal Yard for maintenance. The operation is done by traditional rope, block and tackle method.

Interesting to see the chain on the brace pennants; on the ship Balclutha they were only used on the six topsail yards. The rest used wire there. Nice work guys. TM
