    You're right, there are some very good violinists. I share with only my opinion when I say that among all these great violinists Heifetz is for me the best. But I respect also other opinions.

    I have heard all really big violinists and also have compared them with each other. For me the best of all and all times --- is HEIFETZ!!
    This is my opinion!!

    there are still some more great names for example, "Isaac Stern, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Hilary Hahn, Sarah Chang, Gideon Kremer, David Oistrakh
    Henryk Szeryng, Vadim Repin, Michael Rabin "...... etc.

    I've never heard this version before-only Heifetz recording with Organ. When is it from? Anyone know?

      this is 9 years too late, but sometime in between the 40s and 60s, I believe, as that was when Donald Vorhees was conductor of the Bell Telephone Hour orchestra.
