    Thank you Richard, I've been inspired by your technique for many years now but have been too scared to commit to painting since I left university. If I could be half as committed as yourself I will be happy. I'm lucky enough to live in Devon.

    I enjoy watching you paint. Your voice and your work bring peace to my soul. Thank you. I’ve been trying to use watercolours to paint but mixing pencil (specially soft ones) and water often result messy in my paper. I’ll keep practicing and admiring your art.

    Thank you so much Richard, firstly for an excellent tutorial, and most importantly, for sharing your techniques and including the colours you use. So many demos by artists don't include these tips, which are so vitally important to struggling artists such as myself. Found you by accident, through Pinterest, been to your website, and i absolutely love your unique style. Will share on my Facebook page, looking forward to more tuts... please! Also would love an answer to the same question as Emmajo, about achieving the white sparkle on water?

    Your paintings are truly magical. I am going to see your exhibition at Seal Hayne tomorrow. Have been a fan for many years.
    Do you mind me asking how you achieve such a dazzling sparkle on your seascapes? Do you use wax resist/masking fluid/salt/sponge? Always wondered. :)

    Back again watching a master at work. Do you always use a graphite stick to draw out every painting you produce? Sometime, sometime, please add another tutorial.... even a section of one of your more finished pieces to help us learn more?

    Richard love your loose style and your use of that graphite pencil, could you tell me what make it is? Looks very unique. Your style has truly captured my attention to get out more and use heavier pencil lines on my paper instead of weak and light lines in 'fear' of showing through. Thanks for the video, very well done!!

    • @richardthorn7478
      @richardthorn7478  3 месяца назад +1

      Hi B - You can buy them through Jacksons' art or Great art (art suppliers online). Or go to Creatacolour. They actually make the pencils.

    Hi Richard enjoyed your video can you tell me where you got those what look like ceramic dishes from please?

    • @richardthorn7478
      @richardthorn7478  9 лет назад

      Hello Mr Wopwink...the ceramic dishes were bought in a hardware store in Penzance. I went back there recently to buy some more but they'd sold out and wouldn't be getting anymore. I'm going there again soon and if they've got them back in stock I'll buy you some - they're only £1.00 each. Very handy!!!

    • @rebeccapage4411

      MrWopwink These are marketed in the USA as "sauce dishes" or "3 compartment sauce dishes" through restaurant supply companies. Similar styles can be found listed as "condiment" or "oil dipping" dishes.
