I've never heard of Eaglemoss Star Trek model ships until I saw this video. Thanks a lot spot. As a Trekky, I know what to add to my collection.
The NCC-1701-A made it's first appearance at the end of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Sadly, in Star Trek III the Refit was destroyed (basically the one from the original television series).
Really awesome set. Thanks as always Spot. I really appreciate it!
Aztecing...the design on the nx-01 is called Aztecing
thats what I said yes
@@TheReviewSpotyou didn’t…you said tempographing or something
The patterns are called Aztecing.
I like the Enterprise E
It's a perfect storm of tribute and new . Very cool design. If still take the Enterprise A tho . If you got my other comment plz let me know if you'd recommend these
Nice fleet of ships.
Hey Spot, I've been marathoning through a bunch of your recent videos, playing catchup with a bunch I've missed, and learned that you (recently?) had a baby! Just wanted to send my congratulations, for it.
On the topic of Eaglemoss, and these ships; I have very much wanted to venture into collecting some of these. I rarely have much in the way of funds to do so, sadly. But, my hands down favorite ship out of all of them is, and will always be, the original 1701. I think, going through all of these specific ones, I begin there. NX-01 comes second. Depending on my mood, either the E or the A comes third. And the B, unequivocally last place.
I too, was never a huge fan of the B. It's okay, but I prefer the original Excelsior design, in that class of ship. I dunno if you've ever seen it, but I dig the design of the USS Aventine, which is kind of a mesh of the Enterprise E and the Excelsior class. At the end of the day, had I the bucks, I think I'd be very happy with this set, with the mis-packed E, and could take or leave a freebie B, lol.
Hey I really appreciate that, thanks Johnny. Yes sir had a baby, well, I didn't but you know what I mean. She's alittle over 1 now and a little firecracker.
The Eaglemoss are really churning out some steller Starships but it can be a pretty costly venture to stick with, I might see only picking up specific ships I'm into but probably wouldn't be faithful to collecting each and every ship, plus you'd run out of space pretty fast,
I always found the B to look clunky, like a big slow moving boat, for me it always stood out like a sore thumb versus the sleekness of the original and A, C felt and looked more like D so it was consistent but then there's sore thumb B that is the Black sheep of the family. It worked as Excelsior but it was hard for me to accept it as Enterprise B because we got Enterprise after Excelsior already debuted in Star Trek 3 so it felt very much like a retreading of designs
I was considering getting this set, but now knowing the proportions of each ship to each other are incorrect, not so sure.
Great review, i want this now and i am not sure if i can get it in Europe. I will have to Google it. =)
Imho Enterprise is after DS9 the best Trek Series
What is the brand of your Motorized Rotating Display Stand and where could we buy it from
The Eaglemoss Nostromo from A L I E N is a very nice model.
Their stuff is not all to scale is it?
It should be a TV series set so just like you said it should be NX01, Original 1701, the A, and D
Eaglemoss makes great collections. But they're huge and end up being quite expensive.
I made the DC Comics Superhero Collection (lead figurines) in Spain. Said collection was meant to be of only 50 figures... At around $14 each. However the collection was a total of 120 regular figures plus 19 Special ones (mostly bigger characters such as Lobo and Kilowog) and a Green Lantern series of 16 regular figures and 1 Special.
Am glad I did but then I learned to not make a collection like that again.
If only I can find the 4 ship set today
Hey man Cool video. I have a question please. I used to collect the micromachines ships. The refit enterprises or enterprises A was my favorite version too. It only came in a big collection box so I bought it just for the Enterprise a. Anyway, would you recommend these? They seem bigger than the micromachines and more detail.
That printing on the hull is called aztecing.
Yes
My local ThinkGeek store has them
Anyone ever tell you that you sound like "House"?
Eaglemoss's box graphics are generic and are always the same for a given size.
HOW DARE YOU INSULT THE ENTERPRISE E
