Modeler Oyaji, thank you very much for the videos! Your technique and the final result made me fall in love even more with the Avante so I went ahead and got one for myself! My plan on following your technique closely so I can achieve a final result as close to yours as possible! I really liked your stickers technique, since I couldn't find any double side extra clear adhesive like yours, I got reversed stickers from MCI Racing. I hope they work well. I see that you used a clear coat (that is now retired) to seal the stickers - was this a special paint for Lexan? I was looking for clear coats for Lexan but Tamiya only has Pearl and Matte effect and I think they won't go as well with the metallic blue. Also, when applying the stickers, did you remove the backing and painted the clear coat directly on top of the glue? Wouldn't the sticker glue react with the paint? Thank you very much and keep up the goodwork! Your technique is inspiring!

Clear coat is currently discontinued.
Unfortunately, pure clear is not available from Tamiya and other manufacturers.
Clear is a preventive measure to prevent paint from getting into the gaps between stickers. It is not necessary if you can stick it without any gaps, but if the paint gets in between the body and the sticker after painting, you will feel sad.
I peeled off the sticker mount and sprayed it directly.
There was no particular chemical reaction. I hope you will have a satisfying body.

自分アバンテを購入して、塗装しようと思ってるのですがたまに見かける限定ボディーのメッキ仕様のカラーみたいに塗装する方法ってありませんか？

勿論同じにはなりませんがフロストブルーを塗ってからメッキ調スプレーするとそれらしくなるかも？？です。
切れ端で塗装テストして下さい♪
ただし、メッキスプレーが走行の衝撃でどうなるかは？？？わかりません。
すいません、久々にまたこの動画にコメントさせていただきたいんですが、ウイングの細く入り組んだところにどうしてもスプレーの塗料がうまく入りません。
やはり何度も何度も少しずつやっていくしかないんですか？

That's a very good question. I also got the same question when pasting from behind.
First, the sticker is usually pasted with a very thin double-sided tape that is transparent on the side that becomes the surface.
Second reason, why clear paint is behind.
If there is a gap between the sticker and the body, the paint has entered the gap
The sticker is messed up.
Even if there is a gap, if clear paint is contained first, then the paint to be painted
It is hard to enter between stickers.
Also, the sticker has a small thickness, but the side of the sticker exists.
The effect of making it hard to feel its side is also the role of clear.
When stickers are stuck from the back, polycarbonate also becomes clear and even uniform clear coat.
The finish is very beautiful,
My favorite point is not to peel off even if it crashes.

はい、台紙を剥がすだけで何もしません。
粘着面に塗装を直接して特に問題が出た事はありませんでした。
お初です。RCアバンテ、キレイに仕上がりましたね。
ワタシも欲しいのですが、なんせ高額…。走らせるのが惜しくなってしまいます。
裏貼りの方法も分かりやすく、今度ボディ製作時にチャレンジしてみようと思います！
それにしても、カッコいい！！

でも子供からの夢がどうしても色あせず^_^;
綺麗に仕上がると走らせるの勿体ないんですけどね。。。
絶版にならないうちにスペアボディとステッカーは購入しておきました。
走行用のホイールとタイヤは別に購入しオリジナルは残しておきました。
シャシーやサスアームは傷つきますけどね。。。
面倒ですが仕上がりが綺麗なので裏張りはお勧めです♪

素人の質問をさせて下さい。
自分の組み立てたばかりのアバンテのホイールが自由に回転しなく、ガチガチなんですよね。マニュアル通りに組み立てたのですが、理由が分からず困っています。
Ted Fさん それは困りましたね。
そうならない為にもギアもサスペンションも何かを取り付ける度に
下記の動画のようにスムースに動くかチェックが必要かと思います。

ある程度組み上がってしまってから不具合に気づいた場合のトラブルシューティングは
説明書の工程を逆戻りでバラしていき、バラす度にスムースに動くかを確認していく手順になるかと思います。
ホイールまでつける段階となるとかなり後半だと思いますが
せめてプロペラシャフトを外して前後どちらのギアボックスに異常があるか？
そうすれば作業は軽減するかもしれませんね。

以前頂いたアドバイスのおかげで、ある程度組み立て直した結果、前よりガチガチ感が無くなりました...が、色んな動画で見るように、手でホイールを回すとスムーズに回転するほどのレベルにはなりませんでした。他の皆さんはなぜホイールを手で回してあそこまで永遠のようにスピンするのかが未だに分からないです。。。何が原因なんだろう。。。ある程度走行させないといけないのですかね。。。なぞです。

Clear for polycarbonate has been discontinued.
The purpose of painting the clear is to make the border of the sticker less noticeable.
You can omit the clear.

東邦化研も京商もスプレー販売終了してるんですよね。
今入手可能なのはタミヤのフラットクリアしかないのでどうしたらいいか悩んでました。
艶消しでもポリカーボネートの裏からなら表から見たら艶有りになるんでしょうかね？？
裏張りしない人以外には無用の商品ですからね(^_^;)
フラットクリアー試していませんがポリカの表面は艶があるので艶があるようには見えるでしょうけど
塗装色はやや濁った色に見えるかもしれませんね。
クリアの目的としてはステッカーにもし隙間があっても先にクリアーが入り込めば
本番の塗装色は隙間から入り込まなくなるのでメリットがあるのですが、、、
気合いでステッカーを隙間なくはれば無用かと思います。
もしもの場合はステッカーが残念な事にはなりますね。
ステッカーカットのコツとかあったら教えて下さい...
