Loved the video! I actually work at the tower at Sønderborg :) Coming back anytime soon?
NO WAY😍 You are the “always happy” controller?😁😁😁
And yes, in about 2 weeks 😉
@@MickeLang That's my colleague!
I'm almost as happy as him 😅 😀
All Danes are always happy for some reason! :-)@@thoMMF
Orange is the New Micke.
Also, next time you're in Sønderborg you should get a quick interview with that flight controller, he makes me smile every time, he sounds so happy! Tack Micke
Hahahahaha
I think he commented on the Sönderborg video, will see if I have some extra time the next time I am there ;)
Nice Video! When I read "immersion suit" and "ferry flight", I instantly thought of Wick. I worked up there for several one-week periods a few years ago when that offshore-windpark you flew over was built. We took the workers out for troubleshooting by helicopter and hoisted them down to the turbines. Actually, at 15:28 you can see the white tail section of my company's Airbus H145 in the distance, behind the old controll tower building. Even though I don't work for them anymore, it's nice to see they still got the contract. Was a great time up there and I always enjoyed seeing all those different and often quite unusual aircraft that stopped by during their ferry flights. And I can confirm, flying along that coastline at 500 ft is indeed a lot of fun :))
Show off! :P haha
How cool is this story! Love to read comments like this! Thanks for watching! :)
Thanks for sharing! Brings back many memories. Went through Wick many times. 😁
Good old Wick is a nice place ;) What did you fly over? BR Micke
@@MickeLang I used to fly single engine Pipers and Cessnas over from the states back in the mid 2000’s. 2008 was my last piston crossing. Thanks again for bringing back memories! Stay safe!
Awesome filming on this one. Really enjoyed the cockpit camera :)
Thank you Gert ;)
Always enjoyable - enjoy the journey.
Thanks Tracey!
You’re back ground noise from your engine is not loud, it’s smooth, and not what I had in the US Army. I had Prat and Whitney ST6T twins only 10’ on my left, and right. I had ear plugs and a flight helmet. Thanks again for your ride along.
That's a bit louder ;)
The Bose ProFlight 2 is the best for Diamonds. It still lets you hear some of the engine which is rewarding ;) Gladly following along Micke.
It works great in the Diamonds yes!!
Hi Micke, greetings from Argentina.
After I saw all that amazing footage o0nce you past through that "soup" after takeoff, one idea occurred to me: If you are already set for cruise (and have time for it), can you explain those different cloud formations, what they tell you and a quick review of metheorology? I think it would be interesting for us aviation lovers and channel followers what are you facing each ferry flight.
I know this delivery occurred several months ago, so this suggestion is obviously for further flights. BTW: I´m glad to see your channel growing, good for you!
As always cheers from NE Patagonia. (a dream place). Auf wiedersehn.
I had some flights where weather played a big roll so this is coming too! Will take some time to edit but it will come ;) BR Micke
@@MickeLang Thank you so very much for taking your time to read and answer my comment. Blue skys! Cheers.
wish you good luck on your journey
Hi Mike. Didn't see you since north Atlantic crossing with Steve "flightshops". Nice to see you back. Happy landings from Portugal.
I am still here haha Thanks for watching :)
@@MickeLang
Sure I`m going to follow up your videos more often. Besides, I love those Atlantic crossing flights. They`re extremely demanding (both phisic and mental)
Best wishes
Great vid again, thanks Micke!
I have one question about ATC phraseology in Europe (I am German myself):
I know that in German flight schools and radio certificate courses you are taught to pronounce "3" like "tree". Presumably this is better understood over the radio than the typical German trying to say the English voiceless "th".
It seems from your videos that the same is done in AT and SE.
Now to my question: If you are fluent in English and have a good English accent, are you allowed to say "three" and is there really such a big chance of misunderstandings? (I admit, these are acutally two questions)
Another enjoyable journey... I like the use of OBS Mode for extended runway heading... However since that is NXi why not load a Visual Approach for 31?
Good catch! Sadly the visual approach is not certified in the DA42 G1000. Thanks for watching :)
Top! 🛩
Danke :)
Danke Micke !
Ich danke dir fürs Zusehen Rob! :)
G'day Micke.... how often are you Ferryflying.... what else do you do at Diamond?
Depends, but this year I had around 10 ferries already. I do the aircraft hand overs with customers and all kind of flying in the company. But the main part are the hand overs. A lot of office work to which nobody gets to see here ;)
B. Energy Drink) kostet... Kauft man immer meal deal.
hahahahaha cooler sidefact ;)
I am looking to simulate some ferry flying in a DA62 on my simulator. Can you offer me an example of what kind of weight loading I should plan for with all the gear?
I would say 100kg for me as a Pilot, 20 kg of baggage and about 10kg on the back seats. BR Micke
"Everybody goes through Wick when flying across the Atlantic" - Not from Norway to Reykjavik if coming from Sweden?
But then the wind has to be very good ;)
Is this aircraft yours?
Micke is working for Diamond and he does ferry flights, aircraft delivery for customers. What else, Micke? :)
Basically everything what has to do with flying in the company ;)
@@MickeLang Really cool, you are living my dream 😎
Hi Micke! Wieviel IAS macht die Maschine auf FL180 durchschnittlich?
Hi,
indicated würde ich sagen liegt man bei 140-145, TAS bei 185-190. LG Micke
