  • Items I stock up on for Winter and why
I like to have a couple of months during the year where I don't have to spend on certain household items like toothpaste and toilet rolls.
Being able to save on essential items throughout the year means I have more money available during the Winter months to help with costs like heating and electricity or just a little extra to spend on Christmas presents.

This was brilliant Heather, loving your ideas, and I'm with you Heather, I don't buy a lot of cleaning products either and I don't actually use laundry softener I just use a bit of vinegar on occasion. I love your idea about a freezer slot for Christmas produce. I do similar, I have already started buying my Christmas hamper items. ie cracker biscuits, chocolates, and chocolates for baking goods, cheeses and dips in the fridge that have a next year expiry date and things like that. Saves my buying when everything is marked up for Christmas December.

Fantastic - I use white vinegar on the washing too. It stops the machine going mouldy and if wet clothes have been left around it helps them not go mouldy as well. I'm a bit behind on the food shop at the moment but I need to make some room first lols.

I love a bit of blackberry picking. I started growing them a couple of years ago which is fantastic. I want to grow more fruit and veggies they taste better and it all helps to keep costs down 😊
