Its funny you say that because after I made those comments I was asked by a musician to play a Ducati corporate gig. And guess who happened to be playing bass with the "Ducati All-Stars" Duff....... I would normally say that I had alot of fun playing on the same stage with so many big names but I was totally disappointed. I had several people come up to us after the gig to say we ( the band I was playing with) put on a much better show than they did. Just thought it was kinda funny ....
No. Steven Adler was in Guns n' Roses from the start of GNR to 1990. he was formally fired because drug problems, during the recording of the Use Your Illusion I & Use Your Illusion II albums, and replaced with Matt Sorum.
True i've read the entire slash book... all he used was B.C Rich when he was learning guitar... it wasn't til the recording of Appitite that they threw a les paul his way
Duff is basically playing Paradise City with out the guitar part coming in then slash comes in and does a kickass solo wich is the best solo i had ever heard and i really didn't know he used those type of guitars i thought he only plays les pauls but anyways after the solo he plays the godfather theme which has like a little funny noise with the whammy bar but just like K9owns134 it's better when he uses a les paul with that song
If you peapole don't like his guitar sound its because you like some sort of sound and Slsh is good for it but as every Player/band/man he must evoluate ;)
there is a really awesome blues jam.. from the 1991 make my day (rare tracks).. i want to watch a video of it.. its slash at his best! I've never heard him play anything like it elsewhere! if you guys know what im talking about could you point me in the right direction?
Duff was waaaaay unlocked here. Props to Matt Sorum for holding down the time. Thats why he's been a top call in the industry for years...
I have tried once to play while i was drunk and i couldnt play like 10 notes in a row. That s why i love Slash!!
