This scene is my favorite of season 2. I love how she completely lets her guard and walls down. She is finally accepting how Jack feels about her. By telling him how she feels she is risking love because it is worth it. Such a beautiful scene. Martin and Alexandra have such great chemistry.
MA, I am glad that they didn't rush their love as well. However, I am disappointed with the reason they used to drag it out. The reason for dragging it out should have been focused mainly on Mel's grief and her healing. Instead, it was focused on Charmaine and the pregnancy that she is using to try and trap Jack. How could the writers allow a woman that Jack doesn't want, to be so controlling over him and Mel? They made Charmaine's character a right bitch and the centre of attention.
I love how Mel walls came down, it was truly beautiful and emotionally to watch in my opinion. Some series make you waited alife for two people to acknowledge they love/feeling for each other. I honestly think that they are wasting the audience time. Thank you to Netflix for series, writers for giving the audience it soon. It is a good series pure and natural. I hope for the Third & fourth season.

i agree, the season wasn't so bad it was just too different from last season, I think the writers thought they needed to make this season more drama filled, when I think what we really wanted was just the same mature love between jack and mel that was blossoming in season 1.
What is taking Netflix with the renewal? If anything, the popularity of the show seems to have soared over the Thanksgiving weekend when we had nothing better to do other than watch TV. Such a great feel good show and they have amazing chemistry!!!! Chop chop Netflix......

She does love Jack....you can see it from her expressions even going back to season one first episode when they met....total attraction instantly...it scared her because she wasn't expecting or looking or wanting a new relationship. ..wasn't done grieving....so she was frightened and hesitant ....I'm sure the whole Charmaine stuff didn't help either. Mel and Jack have a deep connection on so many levels
