I grew up in Seattle where I got to meet them at a little club in Seattle where they played a set one night. They were so cool, friendly, and down to earth. Wonderful conversation. Ann's amazing voice and Nancy's hot guitar!
One of the few bands where the 'rhythm' guitar was placed center stage and 'lead' placed downstage or off center due to Nancy's super intricate approach to guitar voicings. But it was critical to the overall sound of the two sisters ( their 2 voices over 1 guitar). So Nancy's orchestration of her guitar fingerings lead to the overall atmosphere of the piece in a very powerful way and Ann was able to push the melodic phrasing way above that. Simply amazing - and we're not even discussing their song crafting artistry, just performance. Always admired Ann's ability to vocally sway into a phrase with so much taste and control. Also, not many bands come to mind where the lead vocal is singing harmony to the guitar melodic passages on a vowel. I think Steve Perry from Journey did that on a couple of songs during live performances as well.
Back in those days I used this song as a test for stereo components, especially speakers. Today she still rocks at 65, check out her with the Philharmonic Orchestra.

Dream Of The Archer, and Sing Child are two of my favorites
Excellent Video!!!! Could you do a reaction to "Lost on You" by LP live session, please! :) her high and "harsh" notes are insane and the whistling too!
I seen them in 1987 Awesome❤
Ann's voice is superior because she sang since she was a kid in the choir and also studied opera. Makes sense now?
Luke!!!!
You need to see Heart at the Kennedy Center honoring Led Zeppelin and singing stairway to heaven. So epic and mind blowing. The original drummers son is playing the drums. Please react to it!!!!
And yet no Grammy? Criminal!
I've always loved Heart, they were an awesome band. Anyone notice the guitarist with the white guitar looking like Luke Skywalker? 😂
Totally!! Haha
And makes you wonder if there was a crack in the Matrix when you consider he was rocking that outfit a year before Star Wars came out (1976)
Stairway to heaven by heart is one of my favoriete songs forever
Don’t forget give Nancy some props on guitar.
In the pantheon of great female there are about 10 great female rock vocalists.....three of my favorites and they are so close in my opinion that I won't even try to rank them.....they are Ann Wilson, Pa Benatar, and Linda Ronsstadt.
Would you react to Kansas carry on wayward son or dust in the wind. Please two of my all time favorite songs
Oh and Nancy’s has killer vocals also....
You da man, man. You should do a reaction to a Periphery song!!! That will blow you away! Absolomb, Garden in the Bones, Satellites, would all be great choices
