1. You must buy new bearing bolts as they are stretched during installation. 3. There is 2 kinds of thread for this bearing. Make sure bolts fit beforehand. M12x1.5x45 vs M12x1.25x45. 4. Removing the strut from the knuckle is some work. There is special tool to open up the knuckle. Use rubber mallet if needed. 5. Once you torque bearing bolts to spec, you need to do additional 90 degrees. Use sharpie to mark your target angle. 6. You also need to replace strut pich nut
I’ve done this job on my 6 series and can here humming now from front. I torqued it to the correct spec but didn’t build it up from low torque then a round a high torque. Could this be an issue? Thanks

Hello! Why do you have to remove the strut bolt?
Thanks!
Nope, there is enough clearance to unbolt the 4 bolt holding the hub.
@@harveycarstuff5027 But you removed it, correct?! 0:37
Been awhile, I think I remove the bolt to get some more room.
Nice job
Hi, could you advise what torque to use on bmw f30 316d 2017 RWD? Thank you.
59 ft lb or 80 nm
are the bolts on the back of the hub triple square?
Been awhile but I think is just star patten.
What is it that you are putting on the bolts?
Should be loctite, it’s basically glue for bolts to prevent from loosing up after a while

Hello there how did you get around the wheel bearing bolt that's sort of covered by the strut end can you tell me what extensions worked for you ?
How did you get that bolt in the top corner on the caliper side? Is impossible with the strut in the way!
