Always glad to know another fan who’s willing to keep his mind open to newer stuff to the Transformers mythos, and find ways to enjoy what is presented as is.
I actually always liked the Autobots from TF4 and 5 (despite how bad the movies are), since they actually have personalities, or what passes as personalities. I also liked Drift for how he’s someone seeking redemption, and I’m a sucker for that. I wish they put his Decepticon backstory in the movies. The less I say about RID 2015 Drift, the better.
I found it very interesting. I had already known that he was a Decepticon at one point but I didn't know his whole origin story. I learned something new today.
Drift was one of the reasons I got into the IDW comics (I knew about him before TF4) and I really wish his movie self somehow showed his past. I mean even the RID 2015 show showed that he was once a bad guy. Anyways, great video man!

Drift is hands down my favorite Autobot. I don't really fancy the movie version of Drift as he is so humanoid (the beard and the samurai personality), I prefer the IDW version and am intrigued to see that you've combined both storylines into one entity.
Eversince I saw Drift I loved him, The way he threw his sword up in the AOE, with the fire from sluge, and In TLK where he does that like ninja turtle lookin ass twist. Lol Good Vid man keep it up!!
Every video I watch that you make about these, captivates me, you always do such a great job with the editing, and its alwas fun to see what the bayformers could never achieve, so the comics had to step in, and even without them you still do a good job! I don't care if I get the giveaway your videos are always enjoyable for me like I can always watch them and I appreciate what you do about the Bay films the origin stories they it's just good like you really bring what I think we should happen with all the Transformers expanding Universe should be and it's just fun I can go to a movie theater watch one of the Transformers movies and actually get a good understanding and liking to it even or not that many people do

I think that bays films was not that bad because they kind of made them all into mega badassines. I wish that they did make more like the ordinary show from the 80s. Love you man keep up the films
Very awesome and informative video. At first I was a big fan of movie Drift, that could have been because I didn't enjoy AOE that much, but he (just like AOE) grew on me after a while. And then I really enjoyed him in TLK, but I wished there was more of him in that movie. Also just like you I hope that the future movies will showcase him and the other Bots more in depth.
I actually like Drift in the IDW comics, mainly in the later issues. So, when I heard he'd make his way to the big screen, I was ecstatic. Even more so when I found out he was being voiced by professional Japanese badass, Ken Watanabe, who I had previously seen in the 2014 Godzilla film, as Dr. Ishiro Serizawa. But when I saw the film, I was surprised by how faithful he was to the comics. Yes, I know the backstory wasn't included in the film, but I loved how he was included, causing him to be my second favorite Autobot introduced in Age of Extinction. Why was he my second favorite? Because Him Grimlock King.
