  • "Finding bluefin tuna brings out the hunter in me. It touches that innate thing that society beats out of you when you're a kid so you don't end up on the 11 o'clock news." - Capt. Domenic Petrarca
Over the last two-decades, Captain Dom Petrarca of Coastal Charters Sportfishing has dedicated his time and tides to the pursuit of bluefin tuna on light tackle to the near exclusion of all other species and tactics. He's guided more fishermen to giant tuna on jigging and popping tackle than any other Captain, and his observations from a career spent tuna fishing are invaluable to anyone else enamored with Thunnus thynnus.

man, Petrarca is a treasure. I've never really been interested in big bluefin, I'm not a glutton for punishment like that, but I'd do it to spend some time on his boat.

Followed Capt. Petrarcas lead when buying a heavy jigging set up & VERY happy with it. Ghost hunter rod (350) acid wrapped conventional, ocea jigger 4000, & I put 500 yds of Varivas avani smp casting line 90 lb (its thin thats why I chose it for jigging) with a diameter of about a pe5

did you just have that mannequin lying around?

You never know when you'll need a creepy mannequin with articulated fingers!
(This one was scaring children at our retail store in Falmouth, so now it lives in the office.)

The arms come off and the articulated fingers are fun. One arm usually lives in the shredded paper bin sticking out of it where some of us can't help but reposition fingers daily 🤌🏼🤙🏼🖕🏼👌🏼✌🏼With the funniest so far being 🤟🏼 But with one more digit raised 😂
