Hey, thanks for the feedback! You would continue setting the P1-6 for 5/2d. To fill out an extra programme, you can set it to go on and off at the same time. By pressing OK after you set your P6 time it should bring up the programming for sat/ Sunday and you can then set these.
Dohhhh, can you do a video on this section please. We only want our heating to come on P1 and 2 and P5 and 6 . How do we override P 3 and 4 . Great video, so helpful
How I long for the old fashion way of turning the heating on and off without this new fangled nonsense. My old boiler was easy to use, just pressed up for on and down for off. Your video went some way in helping at least. One question, if I put the controller on off, does it effect the hot water ?
Hi Rose, you can still do it the old fashioned way via the 'manual' setting if you wish to use it like that. When the controller is in OFF mode the hot water should still work as normal, it's just your heating schedules that are turned off.
I just want 1 timed schedule (19:00 till 20:00) , however the other 6 settings show times and temperatures when I don't want them to turn on, do I just not press the ok button and they won't come on?
For the other times and settings you could double up on times so on at 9 off at 9 and on at 1 off at 1. This might be the best way to do it so you can add your other timed schedule from 7 until 8.
Hi. Thank you for your video. Probably a silly question .! I mostly use manual but I do want the heating to come on its own at 6am. Should I just set the program and then move to auto at bedtime and back to manual in the morning when I’m up?
There's a few ways you could do it. You could do it that way or you could set up a schedule for it to come on and off at various points of the day. If you only want 2 on and off times. For example 6am on and 8am off then 5pm on and 7pm off then you'd set P1 as 6am, p2 as 8am, p3 as 5pm and p4 as 7pm. You'd then have to add p5 and 6 as the same on and off time in order to finish the schedule (you have to add 6 programme settings).
I've been trying to set the 7 day programming as every day is the same for me. The manual and the unit don't seem to be the same. It would be very helpful if you could have a video on how to change the programme from a 24 hour, 5/2 day, or 7 day set up.
In order to get to the 7 day mode you need to set the date and time in operating mode. You should press the 'TIME' button once and it'll begin flashing with the day, go through this process setting the year, month, day, hour and minute. Then press the plus or minus buttons when 5/2d, 7d or 24h mode appears. When it shows 7d on screen you can press AUTO and this will set it into normal operation with this setting.
@@Heatable That isn't what I get when I use the time button. It firstly comes up with a flashing 24Y (ie 2024 year I presume). Then pressing OK to go through date & time, it comes to 24 H . OK again and it displays OFF on the left and d5t in the middle. OK again and back to start 24Y. I missed a step and have it in 7 day mode now - forgot the +/- button but it works with the OK button. Now to programme and work out how to copy! Thank you @heatable!
Hi. So to clarify, if the programme is on at 10 degrees, the boiler is off and is not calling any gas? I always worry that even though it’s on a lower temp it means the boiler is on all day
Hi, I've just watched this to set mine to come on at different times, but alont the top , it says Mon through to Sunday, whereas yours is only displaying a few days , when I do the first day , I just want it on a little bit in the morning at the moment, so I keep the next stages temp really low as don't need it on through the rest of the day , but when I do that it still displays all 7 days at the top with no indication it's moved to the next day, can you advise me please , thank you
This video was so much more useful than the instruction booklet, thank you! Just one question - if I’m on manual mode and my house is currently 17 degrees, if I set the thermostat to 19 degrees, will the heating turn off once it gets to 19? Or will it stay running
We're glad we could help. By adjusting your temperature, you'd enter temporary override. The thermostat will then operate at this temp until the next switching time in your programme.
Hi I really like your video it's very informative. Can you help me how to setup holiday mode we are going on holidays so don't want to heating to turn while we are away. Thanks in advance 😊
Hi, in order to turn on holiday mode, you need to press the HOL button, which is located between the PROG and MOD buttons. Set the year, month, day, and hour for when you want holiday mode to begin. Set the year, month, day, and hour for when you want holiday mode to end. Then press the button again to cancel holiday mode. Hope this helps!
Hey Kirsty, is the heating working for you in AUTO mode when the flame isn't showing? If the heating isn't actually on then it won't appear, otherwise this may be a fault.
I have one of these. I set my temp for 20c but it takes a while for the temperature to go up and even after it’s been on for hours it doesn’t reach 20c. I don’t know if it’s a problem with my radiators? Or poor insulation
The issue you're facing could be due to a couple of common reasons. First, check if the temperature setting on your boiler is high enough. If it's set too low, it might not be able to heat your home to 20°C. Also, make sure your thermostat is in the right place - it should be in a room that's typically used and not too close to a heat source or in a cold spot. If both of these things are fine, then it might be something else. It could be that your radiators aren't big enough for your rooms, or your home might not be keeping the heat in very well due to poor insulation. These issues can make it hard for any heating system to maintain the right temperature.
What about the boost button? I bought a new house on Friday past there and the guy who owned the house told me to use boost and set it for 1 hour etc for heat. I have been firing through the gas since Friday and wondering should I use the man button going forward? Please any advise is appreciated
Manual would give you the ability to schedule your heating, so we would suggest manual as a good option, but if your current set up works for you that's okay too!
Hi Maureen, in order to use temporary override, press the + or - buttons to the desired temp, when ‘Over’ will appear on the screen. Then press 'OK' and the thermostat will now be in temporary override. To cancel temporary override, press the ‘OFF’ button and then press the ‘AUTO’ button to return to automatic mode.
I have a question. I've noticed over the past week, I turn the hearing off before I go to bed,, but it comes back on about an hour later. I do not have any heating programme settings, I just switch on and off, when I want heating. Why is it suddenly coming back on??
Hi Neil, this doesn't sound like it's frost protection mode as it's kicking in so early after your heating has just gone off. This might be a question for EPH - www.ephcontrols.com/contact-us/
Can you please tell me how can I unlock my one? My little son made it unlocked last night..!! Btw, thank you so much for your video, it’s really informative.
Sorry if this has been answered, but how do I set it so it comes on when it’s cold Or below a certain temp? The upstairs of my house is very cold and I was told to keep the thermostat in the living room.. but we have a fire so surely the thermostat will think it’s warmer if it’s located in there? 😅 Thankyou
This thermostat has frost protection built in which means if it goes below 5 degrees and is in the 'OFF' mode then it'll turn on. Outside of your programmed times and temperatures, if you're looking for extra heat then you can also switch it to manual override.
Thankyou for your reply. So just to clarify, if I put it onto manual it doesn’t mean it’s on ALL the time, but it will kick in just if it falls below the set temp?
@@Harves1 It will be on constantly if you switch it to manual until you switch it back into 'AUTO' and then your normal heating programmes will resume at the set times.
Mine says monday to sunday how do i change it to monday to driday then Saturdays and sundays seperate because i want it to come on different times on them 2 days
OK I figured it out - I set P1 for 6:40am at 21c and then P2 for 11:00pm at 6c - I then set the remaining P3,4,5,6 for times AFTER 11:00pm all at the temp of 6c. That should mean the boiler probably won't switch on again till 6.40am the next day. Got to say, this is a ridiculous way to program in some start and stop times and is not intuitive at all. I don't think I'll be keeping this system for very long.
You can't connect this thermostat to your phone. If you're wanting a thermostat that you can control from your phone, then we would recommend the Google Nest or Hive mini.
I've put fresh batteries in and tried turning it on nothing is working I've clicked program and auto but it remains on off its freezing in my house and haven't had any heating for the past 2 weeks I've rang up and nothing is doing anything to help idk what to do x
Just turn the controller to off. The hot water is there when you need it and the program function will remember your settings for when you turn back to auto
I have put in the requested day and month and also the time, but that is not the correct day. It is 09 of April, and the day says Thursday. I presume it doesn't have the correct year. I don't know how to find that
You can't connect this thermostat to your phone. If you're wanting a thermostat that you can control from your phone, then we would recommend the Google Nest or Hive mini.
Hi John, press the 'TIME' button and the day will begin flashing. You need to use the + and - buttons to adjust the year, month, day etc and after getting to the right one, press OK to confirm each before it asks for the next one. Once you have set the minute and pressed 'OK' you can adjust the programme setting from 5/2d or 7d and then by pressing 'AUTO' it will take you back to normal operation settings.
@Heatable Thank you for your quick reply. I should have mentioned that I'm using the manual mode. You finish off by saying Press Auto. I'm assuming that, in my case, I just press the manual button?
I can not change the Day, it is Friday now , but on the screen it says Thursday.and I can not alter the time. as that is the wrong time. Could you please help . I am 82 and find it very complicated.
Hi, the way you change the time is by selecting the 'TIME' button. It will then start flashing and you first select the year by pressing the + or - buttons, then it moves onto month, day, hour etc. Once you've changed it just wait 5 seconds or press AUTO and it will save your new selections. Hope this helps!
There's 3 options you can go for... 24hr, 7 day, or 5/2 days. There's obviously the option to boost and manually override but this thermostats doesn't have as much flexibility as smart thermostats such as Nest.
@@Heatablehow do I switch between 5/2, 7 and 24 hours, please? I'd like to set the same routine for every single day as my partner and I work from home. Thank you!

When on manual it works fine, the flame comes on and it tries to heat our house. I attempted to schedule it again and despite it being set to be on during this time for 19C the flame turned off and the radiators are going cold.

@@Harves1 It will be on constantly if you switch it to manual until you switch it back into 'AUTO' and then your normal heating programmes will resume at the set times.
Ok thankyou.
This video was so helpful!
Glad we could help! *likes and subscribes* 😉
Fantastic!!!
Mine says monday to sunday how do i change it to monday to driday then Saturdays and sundays seperate because i want it to come on different times on them 2 days
I only want to set up a P1 start time and a P2 off time. How do I delete the times and temps set for P3-P6?
OK I figured it out - I set P1 for 6:40am at 21c and then P2 for 11:00pm at 6c - I then set the remaining P3,4,5,6 for times AFTER 11:00pm all at the temp of 6c. That should mean the boiler probably won't switch on again till 6.40am the next day.
Got to say, this is a ridiculous way to program in some start and stop times and is not intuitive at all. I don't think I'll be keeping this system for very long.
@@Cave_MonsterThanks for updating - glad to hear how it's done, might help someone else!
how we move from mon to Tuesday?
Can this thermostat be controlled with the mobile app?
You can't connect this thermostat to your phone. If you're wanting a thermostat that you can control from your phone, then we would recommend the Google Nest or Hive mini.
I've put fresh batteries in and tried turning it on nothing is working I've clicked program and auto but it remains on off its freezing in my house and haven't had any heating for the past 2 weeks I've rang up and nothing is doing anything to help idk what to do x
How do I turn off my heating without losing my hot water or settings( for Summertime) I have an Evoke33 combi with this thermostat
Just turn the controller to off. The hot water is there when you need it and the program function will remember your settings for when you turn back to auto
thanks mate, these things are great but sometimes confusing.
Happy to help
I have put in the requested day and month and also the time, but that is not the correct day. It is 09 of April, and the day says Thursday. I presume it doesn't have the correct year. I don't know how to find that
Can you connect this to your phone? And control via wifi I can’t seem to do mine
If you have the combi pack 4 with the GW03 Gateway, you can gain access to the Ember app and will be able to control your heating from your phone.
@@Heatable how do know if I have the correct gateway?
Can you connect this on ur iPhone via Wi-Fi
You can't connect this thermostat to your phone. If you're wanting a thermostat that you can control from your phone, then we would recommend the Google Nest or Hive mini.
I assumed just pressing the boost button in any setting would turn on heating for 1hr, not so. Any ideas?, TIA.
You should be able to press the boost button, 1, 2 or 3 times for either 1, 2 or 3 hours.
I changed the batteries
And lost the
Time and
Date settings.
HOW TO SET UP
TIME and DATE Settings
please.
Thank you.
John
Hi John, press the 'TIME' button and the day will begin flashing. You need to use the + and - buttons to adjust the year, month, day etc and after getting to the right one, press OK to confirm each before it asks for the next one. Once you have set the minute and pressed 'OK' you can adjust the programme setting from 5/2d or 7d and then by pressing 'AUTO' it will take you back to normal operation settings.
@Heatable
Thank you for your quick reply.
I should have mentioned that I'm using the manual mode.
You finish off by saying Press Auto.
I'm assuming that, in my case, I just press the manual button?
@@SCAM-BUSTER.777 Yes that's correct, if you would like to be in manual mode just complete the steps and then switch to manual!
Any ideas why my auto button does not appear to work amd what I can do to correct it please
Hey Stuart, if you've already reset you thermostat we would suggest speaking to EPH as it may be faulty. You can contact them on +353 (0)21 434 6238.
@@Heatable thank you for your swift response , I reset settings and that seems to have worked but is a pain to do each time I override with boost etc
What if I wanted to come on only twice a day on the Prog option?
There's 3 options you can go for... 24hr, 7 day, or 5/2 days. There's obviously the option to boost and manually override but this thermostats doesn't have as much flexibility as smart thermostats such as Nest.
@@Heatablehow do I switch between 5/2, 7 and 24 hours, please? I'd like to set the same routine for every single day as my partner and I work from home. Thank you!
@@MrMatte1983 Use the programme button to fluctuate the mode and then pressing the time button in this mode will jump to the next day. Selecting the 24hr mode would work fine if you want to keep the same time and temperatures each day as they can't be adjusted the same as 7 day 5/2 etc. Not an easy one to explain but hope this helps!
We followed this but our boiler didn't turn on when scheduled despite the temp being very cold - does anyone have any advice about this?
When on manual it works fine, the flame comes on and it tries to heat our house. I attempted to schedule it again and despite it being set to be on during this time for 19C the flame turned off and the radiators are going cold. The temp of the thermostat is showing 16.3 and falling (it was showing 10C before I picked it up).
@@connitinmouth1638 Sounds like this needs troubleshooting as it could be due to a number of issues, definitely get in touch with EPH on 01933 626 396.
When I get to position 6 it doesn’t move to Sat/Sun it just goes back to position 1
Tried to set mine last night before seeing this vid. Why not give a on and off time setting? instead of 1 and 2??
This allows for multiple on and off times to be set with different programme options!
The program doesn’t come on when I hit auto, it turns the heat on when I press the button but does not follow the program
Mine is on man and and it just doest work not matter which button i press it does move any where
Does anyone else have battery issues? This is my second one of these therostats - they have both accurately displayed the temperature for a few days after new batteries. Then start showing completely inaccurate temps. (Usually from 3 to 11 degrees. It has been over 20 now outside for a week..
I can’t keep swapping batteries and this is now the second unit with same issue?
Definitely contact EPH and see what they can advise!
How to unlocking it
Sorry, but how to make it so that it is showing just MON-FRI when you click on PROG and then it goes to SAT & SUN once you have gone throught the 6Ps. Currently when I click PROG it is showing MON-SUN
❤❤❤Thanks ❤❤❤
How do I remove off
Brilliant
Thanks
Can anyone tell me how I can just set an on-off twice a day instead of using all 6 points as I don't want it come on the middle of the day? Any help appreciated.
Hi Helen, sorry we didn't cover that in the video. Your best bet would be to speak to the support team at EPH on 01933 626396.
@@Heatable no problem. Thankyou for being back to me.
You can just set the middle set points (3&4) to come on at noon and off at noon. So it cancels itself out. If that makes sense .
Thanks for that the instruction manual might as well be in Greek
