This guy should stop doing other people's jobs and concentrate on managing UoN. He has messed up the university structure it has become dysfunctional, he had increased fees which have locked out children from poor backgrounds and has lowered the admission rate by over 30 percent. He has raised the Professor attrition rate through early retirements, sacked administrators, does not pay academics, delayed salaries and promotions, etc, etc. All these have not increased revenue as he hoped, instead it has ruined the UoN brand. Now his " new strategy" is to get alumni to contribute money in the name of a foundation. This is sad.
I'm sorry, Prof is really doing so well. For the future of the UoN and for it to benefit our children, he has taken the right changes. Look at it in a different perspective.
@@nderitunyaga9210 you mean I need to be tribal and expound your subjective position. Hell no Iam an educated, independent individual, academic member and a professional in the field of evaluating CEOs. Being biased is not an option
@John.Bukusi: The prof does not need to be gloomy or pompous to make his point. He's comfortable chatting with the three journalists in a relaxed, transparent, and mutually respectful atmosphere.
The school and college structures had nothing to do with politics. This is a common practice used to flatten structures when institutions grow big to easy communication and coordination. The current structure of universities around the world is structured around schools, not the faculties of the 1980s. This guy should go to school to learn about how to manage. Managers who take people around like him are incompetent. It has nothing to do with the law or statutes. It should be known that this guy has been doing all these major changes without public participation from academic staff.
waa mention of Afande Kofa gives memories
My professor of anatomy.
Advise him to stick to managing the animal anatomy
This is the VC of UoN,Kenya stating on live radio that the university HAS NO STRATEGIC PLAN!!!?? WOW!!!!

On the contrary, he is doing very well. You only need to be objective and realistic in your analysis.

Why does the VC keep laughing? We want to see facts and figures. What's the core activity of the place ........
