If they do a collaborative album it’s just gonna be my maths homework
Oh it’s the dude from the brad taste in music stream chat. Nice comment bro
19 + 21 x 25 ÷ 30 =
36.5 will be the name of that album.
@@thrownstair pretty cool considering this is almost temperature of human body in Celsius
someone should make this mashup album
If they do a duet down the road it should be like 32 squared or something
I think there's too must nostalgia attached to RED. It was everywhere, it was inexcapable. It was on of the pop definers that year on a year of much good pop. I actually prefer Taylor's Version generally. Even State of Grace. I will agree with WWNGBT "we" but it's not enough to bother me or make me listen to the versions own by the psychological abusers on power trips.
I was going to like this comment, but I saw that the likes total is 69 so I'll just leave a comment here as a like button. I love 69
Yeah, to me the main singles don’t hit as hard as the originals, but also fuck Scooter Braun and Big Machine, so when I do listen, I’ll use the new versions.
I think Red stolen version and Red taylor's version each have their own hits. Red sv has wanegbt, 22, iknywt while Red tv has sog, red, all too well and nothing new or message in a bottle?
@@thrownstair guys you do know scooter doesn’t own it anymore 😭
IKYWT is actually better on the original but I'll stream TV just for her
Red (Taylor's version) just seems like a brand new side to the story. She sounds emboldened to finally share it. I never was a huge fan of the original red album (Although it had some of my favorite songs of her's all time), but with the new version I've grown to appreciate the album as a whole a lot more.
I think the reason Red (TV) lacks some of the punch of the old version is the lack of Max Martin on the production. it's making me NERVOUS for how reputation and 1989 are gonna turn out.
specially reputation
@@candelajordi7703 yeah god as a rep stan i am NERVOUS for how they're gonna destroy my baby if max isn't on there
@@Flibbityflob Reputation acoustic album would be amazing
@@asf8648 I'd die if we got a reputation b side that's all acoustic. blondie babes if you're listening please.
I've read somewhere that Max Martin doesn't agree with Taylor's re-recording so yeah, i'm ok with the lack of Max Martin. And Shellback recreated Wildest Dreams TV without Max and it sounds even better so i don't really worry about Rep or 1989 production.
I respect your music takes more than any other reviewer. You're not confined by any genre and it truly makes all the difference. Thank you.
Thanks to everyone who suggested albums to talk about before 2021 is done! And thank you as always for watching. Now it's time to gear up for year-end list season...
EDIT: My inability to read a map strikes again - Sam Fender is from England, and Inhaler is from Ireland. In the video, I switched them around. Sorry!
Thanks for listening to an earlier comment I made on the series about keeping your sense of humor in the new format, the (Taylor's Version) joke was perfect. Appreciate you and these videos :)
No FMTY :(

Please talk about Death By Rock And Roll by The Pretty Reckless if you do another one of these in December
Curious if any of the big music critics have any strong opinions about THE MILLENNIUM PARADE by Millennium Parade
It’s always a good day when MicTheSnare uploads
Word
hit the nail on the head with 30 man! incredible adele experience, I thought the drum work on it was the show stealer and the max martin tune out of nowhere!
pLEASE tell me you’re doing a reaction
Where's your reaction!??!!??
Shut up, boring ass album
@rike94 these types of comments are meaningless, because there is always one of them.
@@burgermind802 you sound like someone who praises youtube for removing the dislike button, go back to Adele
Nothing new is for me an amazing song and a great way to invite someone to discover both taylor swift and phoebe bridger
I'm actually waiting for Adele's "84" album and its lead single is "it's been 84 years"
Was NOT expecting Mic The Snare to start praising Metroid Dread, but it was a VERY welcome surprise indeed!
Silk Sonic’s debut laid me out, did not expect the same level of quality that Leave The Door Open and Smoking Out the Window on nearly all the other tracks, AOTY for me so far
Silk Sonic's Album its hands down my favorite album of the fall 2021!!! the smoothness of the melodies and vocals is phenomenal!
Samedt!!
Silk Sonic automatically made my album of the year just based on the names alone. Such a great album
All the songs sound similar in it
@@hunhooiable all the songs sound similar? 🤦♂️, did u even listen to the album? U saying that fly as me is similar with leave the door open and put on a smile is similar with 777, lol retro music doesnt mean its same
Facts bruh🔥🔥
@@kosmos7224 true. why haters always say that the sounds are similar? Are they deaf? Lol.
@@hunhooiable 🧢💯
RED was never a favourite album for me. But the re-recordings changed my mind about it. I prefer and I will listen to Taylor's version for sure of all albums to support her. I am little nervous about 1989 and Reputation because my fave songs like Clean, Dress, Call it what you want, Delicate are there and also the big hits in 1898... But I guess these are her songs and she knows what she is doing so I trust her.
If you were still iffy on how to format these things, for what its worth, I loved this. Highlighting a few of the big releases with a deeper dive, but still allowing time for the lightning rounds of other releases. Great stuff.
I may be the proof of that all adage that you stop listening to new music in your thirties, but if anything pulls me out of that lurch it's these videos. You're doing us all a service.
"30 is Adele's vest expperience' I love the choice of the word "experience", cause 21 still has to be my gav Adele Album one of my fav Albums of all times, but 30 is just like a whole experience, a whole connected story.
Don't worry, the pack is with you. Everybody loves "Nothing New" because, ironically, it brings something new and deeeeep. ;D Totally get you about the singles and the bouncier tracks.
i'm in love with silk sonic
actually taylor wrote better man and gave it to little big town! also love the super mario galaxy shoutout
1. So glad you covered fishmonger, it’s my second fave of the year next to Nurture, seems like another album’s* coming out in a few days!
2. I know Taylor is watching so my hope is that she goes full revisionism on Reputation. Taylor’s Kate Bush’s Director’s Cut.
ADDENDUM:
It’s a 7-track companion project, underscores’ boneyard aka fearmonger is out December 3rd!
you heard Frailty by Dltzk?
@@twotwosixx I really liked Teen Week, and I’ll for sure be getting to Frailty pretty soon.
I disagree heavily on 2 but I respect your opinion
Great video! I will say, I don't think that the tiny differences between Red and Red (Taylor's Version) are big enough to warrant supporting the people who are attempting to keep an artist from owning her own music. If you're going to stream/buy Red, support the artist who actually made the music by listening to Taylor's Version.
And may i add, You said that in Fearless TV, Taylor didn't try anything new, But in Red TV, She did try something new, Like in Girl At Home, She change the production.
An Evening With Silk Sonic was lush in ALL the right places. :) Looking forward to checking out Snail Mail.
The only good part of dislikes being removed is mic the snare videos not having them anymore
It really rubs me the wrong way that everybody talks about An Evening With Silk Sonic as just a “nostalgic throwback” while praising every single 80s inspired synth pop record that releases. I think this record is a 10/10. It’s amazingly paced, practically airtight, and incredible to listen to in basically any context. Album of the year.
Absolutely agree
Yep, an excellent album indeed
So, if I understood well... you wished Samus Aran could have been a guest on the Silk Sonic album? I admit, it would have been cool, but she's a very busy woman.
Anyway, as always, fantastic video!
And she barely speaks haha (*Other M looms up*) "No, no, noooooo-"
An evening with Silk Sonic 10/10 🥰
I both respect and love the journey of The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows. One thing I love about Damon and his music is that it gives me the comfort in being sad.
Babe wake up new mic the snare
That being said, I'm so glad you covered underscores. Fishmonger is such a crazy good album.
I really like the visuals during the quicker reviews with the album cover, favorite song, and interesting visuals. This is my favorite iteration of this new review style! I appreciate your reviews as always!
So stoked that you shouted out McKinley Dixon, that album hits HARD, probably a top 3 OTY record for me for sure.
That Parcels album was something I was not expecting much from going in but OMG it's actually became one of my favourite albums of the year it's like a electro-pop musical.
As an Irishman I feel obliged to say that Inhaler are Irish and Sam Fender is from the UK
Although also as an Irishman I’m okay with swapping them
Get lost mate Sam fender is staying a Geordie
@@joshhalford1110 :(
He reviewed my suggestions !
Can't wait for the Best Of 2021 video.
Really glad you showed JoJo some love. Shes been putting out good music within the past couple yrs
16:44 Just a fact correction: Sam Fender isn’t Irish, he’s a Geordie (term used to describe someone from Tyneside in the North East of England)
Is Geordie used for all of Tyneside? I thought it was Newcastle specifically
@@Lauren_3000 well basically newcastle is kind of the main place in tyneside (or at least the most culturally well known) so whenever people hear that accent they might think newcastle but it’s a bit more general than that
I'm starting to listen to full albums again thanks to you!!!
Thanks for introducing me to Frosting. It's exactly my cup of tea.
man alive did you nail my exact thoughts on Red's re-done songs
So jazzed that you took the time to shout out Parcels' Day/Night!
Another gem in form of video to discover gems in form of music. Much love!
It's only few days back I discovered your channel. Now I am addicted to your videos. Love the content 🙏
Thank you!!
Yo, thanks for including Dry Cleaning!
Finally, some justice for Bent Knee. Their best album since Shiny-Eyed Babies imo.
Der Weg Einer Freiheit quietly dropped one of the best black metal albums of the year earlier this month, that might be getting the top mark from me.
Nothing New and its bridge cleared my skin
I’m SOOOOO thrilled someone is finally talking about 333 and Tinashe. Thank you
Really glad you took the time to do a deep dive (hehe) with the bigger releases this month! Looking forward to next month’s video where you’ll tackle Crazy Frog + others!
Love your pronunciation of Cahnverge
glad to see elbow getting a spot, they have some class albums in the 2000's. "seldom seen kids" is defo worth a listen
And Asleep in the Back
glad you got a chance to listen to Tinashe's 333! Loved it at first listen, and the songs I wasnt sure about were fast growers as well. Became my favorite album of the year by far
Definetly prefer Red (Taylor's Version)
The vault songs on RED are amazing!
Tinashe's 333 was excellent, thanks for covering it!!
i had been looking forward to your takes on the first quarter of beach house's new project, but a mic the snare upload is always a great upload and im certainly intrigued to go check some of these acts i hadnt heard about before
I'm so glad you talked about McKinley Dixon's album its so good and not enough people are talking about it
Was not expecting to see Inhaler on here. Great debut album and one of my favourites of the year.
Every converge record post-Jane Doe sounds incredible. I recommend doing a deep dive into Kurt Ballou’s production credits
Orchid's Chaos is Me and Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! are all I really care hearing about, but you're right. That would be a cool video.
might be a bit out of his depth lmao
Now is the perfect time to announce your Converge DDD, we will love you forever
That would be great, but only if he doesn't say CON-verge throughout.
Evening with silk sonic >> Any fuckin' album in last 6 to 7 years
I'm so happy to learn you did college radio. There's dozens of us out there!
Amazing content as always, Mic. Thank you very much for the Spotify playlist!
Did not expect to see Bent Knee here, love to see it.
mic's monthly mix playlist ≥>>>>>>>>>>> spotify's discover weekly playlist
This was where I first heard of Snail Mail and I am so glad I did!
Thanks for making these Monthly mixes! Last month you recommended Illusory walls by the world is a beautiful place and I am no longer afraid to die, who I didnt know before and I absolutely loved it!
Glad you dug the parcels record. probably my favourites of the last few months. That, along with the Self Esteem album - check that out if you haven't already
always looking forward to these! keep up the good work
You talked about fishmonger by underscores! Glad to be one of the "a lot of people" who requested it :)
You're my Silk Sonic, your voice is butter pouring down my ears Mic
Duuuude! Love that these album review videos are long now!
Milk Toast Pop 😂
That Parannoul album is so good, it's definitely in my top 3 albums of the year
Same
I feel the exact same way about An Evening With Silk Sonic
Me too
Great video as always.
Please include Death By Rock And Roll by The Pretty Reckless for the Year-End MMM.
Never been this early for a Mic the Snare vid. Glad to be here 🥰
Love to see the love for Parcels! If you haven't, check out their debut as well, really solid.
omg please do a deep dive on rush discography. if you do you’d literally be deep diving into my heart
I seriously love your content! Thanks for being awesome!
Men I trust are fantastic, glad you gave them a shoutout!
Everytime I watch one of your videos I forget you don't have 1 mil subs, and I don't understand why. One of the most underrated channels out there.
YOU MAKE ME WANT TO LISTEN TO SO MUCH MUSIC MICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC
congrats on the baby bro!
Just from that first joke alone I can already tell that this is about to be a classic
brah this feels like MTV discussions if they actually made sense.
this is fire !!
I’ve never seen MTV discussions, what variety of nonsense are they?
✨an evening with Silk Sonic✨ Best album of the year!❤️
I saw silk sonic, immediately clicked!! Love my man bruno!!
Glad For My Mama got a shoutout, it's really beautiful
Would love a deeper dive into the Parcels record. I was really surprised by how good they sound
the rest of the underscores album is great too, it's good to get some more light on hyperpop-ish stuff
Interesting thoughts on Snail Mail. I feel sort of the opposite of you. The deep cuts from Lush have proven to be some of my favorite songs in existence, while I'm still waiting for the non-single tracks from Valentine to really hit home for me. Love both albums though.
Wonderful video as always, your editing skills and your smile are always a highlight
Are you into Interpol by any chance? I can't wait for their next album
I just realized you're the FunkyDiabetic of music (AFunkyDiabetic is one of the best NBA analysis/reaction? channels)
Disappointed that you didn’t review the new Ice Nine Kills album, but good review anyways!
the Sega Bodega album was the best one of this month for me. And one of the best of the year.
Some of the re-records on Red TV were questionable. But those vault songs mwah so good
dangit. I was hoping you were going to review the Dijon full length
Just found your channel and enjoyed your analysis, it would have been interesting if you talked about why TS is rerecording her earlier albums.
if i had a nickel for every time a 90s band rereleased one of their most famous albums as a deluxe edition with the first disc being the main album, the second being songs that were recorded during the same session of the 1st disc but for some reason were left out, and the third being a bunch of outtakes, b-sides and alternate takes, and the album cover was red, and it was rereleased on november 5th; I'd have 2 nickels... which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
12:06 damn Adele and Oprah had a divorce? that sucks
excellent, as always!
Holy SHIT that mckinley dixon recc was fire. Never even heard of him and that was truly excellent
