2008 YFZ450 Won’t Start

- Having an issue getting my 2008 Yamaha YFZ450 to start after doing a Ricks Motorsports Stator/Regulator install. Not sure what my problem is or if it’s related to the install or not. Looking for some feedback

Similar issues. I have spark, gas but the stock stator. I've pulled the carb and cleaned it I installed new jets (stock) but....it now just turns and turns no start. I did get it started before cleaning the carb but it ran like crap and leaked gas. I installed a new float as well...its not leaking gas anymore but won't start.

That yellow and black wire is for your headlight
Try the wire to coil it was working one minute and not the next
What is that random 3 yellow wire black plug for? It isn’t plugged into anything on yours or mine, and I can’t find out where it goes lol. Right next to where your stator plugs in by the left headlight
I checked my stator but didn’t fix the no spark any input
I need an update man I’ve got same issue right now bought same stator and regulator
I apologize for just now getting back to you, I just recently moved into another house shortly after this video was posted so I’ve been tied up with all that and haven’t even gotten around to messing with it anymore since filming this video. I do plan on messing with it some this weekend. Have you had any luck getting yours fixed? If so please share I’d love to hear!
Me too, same issue.
just bought a new stator- rectifier kit, ac/ dc conversion from RM stator and guess what it fired right up. threw away the Rick's one.
