Such an underrated and incredible song
VASTLY underrated, adventurous Stones song. Love it.
This is one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard in my life. It’s not even really A SONG, it’s mainly an audio commentary on Issei Sagawa set to an ultra dated Miami Vice muzak dance piece. I hate the talking Mick does in the song more than almost anything. The production is also terrible. You listen to this thing and it’s carbon-dated; you just know right away that it’s from late 1984, and it sticks out like a sore thumb caught in a car door.
Agreed, it's actually one of my favorites. Very poignant, foreboding lyrics, Jagger saw the coming age and called it out for what it was/is.
@@fuzzpope yeah, me too!
Are you bearing the bones?
@@VladislavBabbitt no & don't say that you're scaring me to death.
I love this song 🎵 ❤️, and the lyrics. This is a different style and sound that is awesome. They are always making killer tunes. They always push themselves to be different and unique and original. They always kerp rock and roll alive. Keep rockin and rolling boys.
I love how you can ALWAYS tell by Charlie's face when he's thinking "what have these crazy fucks gotten me into this time?" When Mick and Keith have come up with something especially out there 🤣🤣🤣
I totally agree with that statement 😂😂
@@rebeccawagner4167 yeah, I know what you mean, honey.
the Japanese guy he mentions in the lyrics is Issei Sagawa - Japan's most famous cannibal - just fyi ^^
And he's served his time in jail, and is now living free in Japan. Generally, I'm all for forgiveness, but.....SRSLY?
Japan has had more than one cannibal?
And he was friends with Mick Jagger.
@@HomeAtLast501 Bloody well right !

non typical Rolling Stones sound almost experimental, but still an original signature song, an almost forgotten gem buried in with all the dusty archives, and rock n roll ruins from past musical eras of long ago.
The Stones explored new sounds as trends changed directions each decade with genre. Their adaptive abilities with creating fresh material marks their legendary status in Rock history as one of the best ever
100% rocknroll
100% talent
50% cannibalism
All you need to write a masterpiece
Damn! Has anyone told you how awesome you are Bill Wyman. This bass line is amazing. Miss ya Bill!
Yeah, it really is. Wyman's bass and the horns make this tune swing.
@@danmseattle975 Yeah, man, he's all over the place. His transitions from note to note are amazing. I've never heard him play this fast. I guess maybe on All Down The Line, which the Stones say is one of the fastest songs ever recorded.
This ja Not bill. Whow Play's teh bass
It is Bill on this one. But he’s not on the original version of All Down the Line apparently...
@@dannyd1572 bill is such an underappreciated bass player. Influenced by Donald duck Dunn whos one of the greats. But he and charlie know how to properly swing which is a lot more than most rock bands can say. Why the stone's music is deeper than some may think
I always thought this song, in fact the Undercover album, were very underrated. The groove in this song is infectious.
I do agree. This is my favorite album of The Stones (maybe because it's the first of their albums I listened to. I was 11 when it was released.)
Yes, it's an excelent almbum; there is 'wanna hold you' too!! By Richards!
David Shannon has some great songs but it’s very uneven like dirty work
Loved this album since the day it came out
Not "uneven" to me at All. Love this album. Feel on baby is maybe my least favorite song on it but I have played the album to death
Grabada en Coahuixtla Morelos Mexico.
Solo vine a comprobar, acabo de ver la noticia.
The video was filmed in Ayala, Morelos, Mexico, to be precise in the ex-farm located in Apatlaco
¡Órale!
No, actually was filmed in Coauhuixtla's ex hacienda in Cuautla, Morelos. Send you greetings from Jiutepec, Morelos!
Say someone without a human identity.
Pure Masterpiece! always loved this song and video too!
A forgotten weird and wonderful moment in the history of the Stones.
Happy 80th birthday, Keith Richards!
Ayala, Morelos, México !! 😎🫶🏼
I love the BASS guitar in this song.
The bass in this song is top notch and then some! Brilliant!!
Bill wyman is the best basses ..they need him back in the band.🎶🎶🎶✌️☮️
Oh WOW hearing this song again after 30 years was still just as good as the first time i heard it just full of energy, makes ya wanna get up & dance.
The Stones really can lay claim to being the best rock & roll band in the World in my opinion, to have survived this long & able to bring out hits over the different changes & styles of music & this being during the disco days.
just simply awesome.
COOL ass Bil Wyman on his headless Hofner. Too much!
Or Steingerger....before anybody pops off.

That poor woman just want to enjoy her evening and Mick Jagger has to come along and make everything start bleeding.
But seriously this is a great video.
The cheesier video the better!
I hate when this happens, smh
Very dated video and music. Far to be the best of the Stones.
I agree I really feel sympathy for her.. I hope she gets a better evening at one point.. maybe she should learn herself playing chess or doing yoga..
Grabado en la ex hacienda de Coahuixtla, Ayala, Morelos, México.
Why was this great track never a Dance Club hit. It is sensational!
it actually was, remixed by Arthur Baker in 1984
Did you just make a grave-dancing joke?
IT HIT NUMBER ONE ON THE DANCE CHARTS!!!
That Rolling Stones song is inspired by the Japanese Assassin Issei Sagawa 🚩🚩🚩🏴☠️
I wanna dance, I wanna sing
I wanna bust up everything
To make some love
I wanna dance, I wanna sing
I wanna bust up everything
And make some love
I can feel it in the air
Feel it up above
Feel the tension everywhere
There is too much blood
Too much blood, well alright
Everything you see
On the movie screen is tame
Everything's gonna be arranged
A friend of mine was this Japanese
Who had a girlfriend in Paris
He, he had to date her for six months
And eventually she said yes
You know, he took her to his apartment
Cut off her head, put the rest of her body
In the refrigerator, ate her piece by piece
Put her in the refrigerator, put her in the freezer
And when he ate her he took her bones
To the Bois de Boulogne
By chance, a taxi driver noticed him
Burying the bones, you don't believe me?
Truth is stranger than fiction
We drive through there everyday
I wanna dance, I wanna sing
I wanna bust up everything
Be number one, yeah!
I wanna dance, I wanna sing
I wanna bust up everything
And have some fun
I can feel it everywhere
Feel it up above
Feel the tension in the air
There is too much blood, too much blood
Too much, yeah, too much blood, a'right
Did you ever see 'The Texas Chain Saw Massacre'?
Horrible, wasn't it?
You know people ask me, "Is it really true
You know where you live in Texas
Is that really true what they do around there, people?"
I say, "Hey, now everytime I drive through the crossroads
I get scared there's a bloke running around
With a fuckin' chain saw
Oh, no, he's gotta cut off me
Oh no no! Don't saw off me leg, don't saw off me arm"
When I go to the movies, you know
I'd like to see something more romantic
You know like, 'An Officer And A Gentleman'
Or something, something you excite the wife too
You know what I mean?
I wanna dance, I wanna sing
I wanna bust up everything
And have some fun
I wanna dance, I wanna sing
I wanna bust up everything
And make some love
I can feel it everywhere, feel it up above
Feel the tension in the air

Too much blood, alright!
Pretty ladies, don't be scared
Pretty ladies, don't be scared
Pretty ladies, don't be scared, yeah
Pretty ladies, don't despair
Pretty ladies, don't despair
There's still so much love
Yeah, too much, too much, yeah
Too much blood, too much blood
Too much, too much blood
Too much blood, too much blood
Too much blood, too much blood
Wow, ALL the lyrics! Thank you so much, Zula, great job!
Something you can TAKE the wife to, know what I mean.
You can tell they has such fun making this video. Even Charlie can't hold it in. Gotta love em.
Yeah but they made sure that Keith's chainsaw wasn't working...
I love this album. One of the things I like about the Stones is they are very diverse.
some criticize this: I applaud !
I love their country stuff.
I had forgotten that I liked this song. I think I first saw the video in 1985. The brass is *HARD CORE.*
Happy Halloween, Rolling Stones!
Basket Case is on!
Always remember this track as a kid in the early 80s, mi dad had the lp when it came out R.I.P Charlie
Charlie Watts always manages to remain so calm, no matter what Mick and Keith generate.
❤
They asked Mic and Keith on the "Rewind" video who is most responsible for keeping the Stones together after all these years and they both said Charlie Watts. When they told Charlie what they said he said, "That's rubbish."
Yeah, but he'll always live on in our hearts forever
Charlie was the pounding calm of the storm.

I'm listening and watch this video!!2024
Love the jazzy, beat with the brass..very intriguing.
Love this. Great bass line. I love The Stones and I love their 80’s stuff. Mick? Best frontman of all time.
So true. They were regarded an epic 60's and 70's band, but their 80's and 90's stuff was so underestimated. I always regretted that, as they were considered "oldies", but still showed the world how a proper job in the music world had to be done. Period 😉
Sure Mick, there's too much blood in this world, where's there is a place without blood, hahahaha 😂???Love MICK FOREVER,HIS VOICE,CHARISMA,ONE OF THE BEST ❤❤❤❤❤
*Any one here after seeing Bailey Sarian’s Monday Mystery story on Japan’s cannibal Issei Sagawa. It’s so awful how he profited off her murder.*

Honestly, never thought I’d hear Mick Jagger rapping about The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (or rapping in general) but it’s still a cool song regardless. Super funky vibe, I dig it
4:04 the moves 👌🏻
STAX Records would have given this the seal of approval. Arrangement is excellent. Subject matter is modern life.
A clip from Basketcase is at the beginning...the horror fan in me just loves that. Oh and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre homages as well, and Mick commenting about the movie and reacting as if he was in a horror movie in a sardonic manner, definitely getting a Scream vibe from the latter. And Keith hacking the door with a chainsaw and peering through it...The Shining, anyone?
Alas, many Rolling Stones fans think so but few of them express their opinions. ...Yes, always off limelight, no showing off, just pure ENERGY. The Cornerstone and the backbone of the Stones music! Miss you terribly Billy!

BTW, FYI the horns on this song and video are by C.H.O.P.S., a horn section used by the early rappers/hip-hoppers when they still had musicians backing them up. No sampling. And when rap was fun, not gangsta or porno.
My favorite Stones album.

Always liked the Under Cover album - very under rated
greenaissance1 under cover and dirty werk(as a liverpooldian would say) are tremendous albums.
New to the Stones, been listening to era from 73 to 89
With the song Undercover --- I always wondered, would knights actually wear their armor when riding across the desert? Seems like it would be hot as hell.

since the 80s until today this is the best album of the Stones.

Brilliant. To say you are in tune with what is.
Is beneath you.
Well done
I knew Keith Richards was good with a guitar, a song, a needle, a cigarette and a Jack Daniels bottle, but I wasn't aware of his masterful talents with a chainsaw 03:10
Richards was not plaing here, was jagger and others not that one.
@@Tiberius_I yes, guitar here is jim barber
and its odd the guitar work is NOT keith richards on this song... even though this is literally one of the best the stones ever did yet so few fans know it exists.
DressUpYourPet2 = I find no reason to disagree with you. Keith and Mick were just not getting along at all, and this is probably one the top 5 songs where Richards was given a writing credit where it doesn't sound like he had any input on the song at all. Kind of like "Time Waits For No One' which I feel, musically speaking, was written by Taylor.
And he didn’t even need a leather mask
TFTM!!!!

Although I've always liked this track, I always felt this was the Stones tryna jump on that "Thriller"-style horror theme at that time. Especially with this video.
I agree .This song looks like Thriller.
There's actually a thriller book called "the killing song" in wich a journalist is trying to catch a serial killer following a chain of musical clues left by the killer... This song is featured when a victim is killed in "Paris", her "head was cut off" and the body was found in "the bois de Boulogne".. It's really interesting check it out.
Along with Phil Collins trademark winds.
absolutely, Mick is trying so hard to keep up with MJ who was the biggest thing at the time
It is said that song was their answer to Michael Jackson's Thriller.
Summer of '85, my brother Ray & I blasted this cassette on our "Boom Box" during our trip through Italy. Not much appreciated by the Italians back then!

Love this video,
I remember that this video, and "Undercover of the Night" were considered controversial at the time. Very Brian DePalma-style videos... I liked the album a lot; it's underrated. They should have toured it.
