- At E3 2019, Microsoft announced the Elite Controller Series 2. This video is my Elite Controller Series 2 Reaction. I love the original Elite and I'm looking forward to a new one coming out.

There is an LED charging indicator on the front of the controller, just above the Profile button.
Flashing white LED = charging
Solid white LED = fully charged
Amber LED = low battery
I’ll never see it as the controller will be permanently in its case 😂

battery lasted me 10 days before I had to recharge it that’s amazing imo unlike the others replaceable battery’s only last a few hours
I've never had it run out but it does go in the case after each session so that is expected.
Big difference between micro USB and USB Type C. Type C takes advantage of USB 3.2, 3.1, and 3.0 which allows for data transfer between 5 and 20Gbps. Bluetooth is also a huge addition for someone who dropped $1500 on a high end pc compared to a $500 xbox one x. Bluetooth is also essential if you are running Project Scarlet. Surprised you downplayed these features.
It’s because I don’t know about it as an Xbox user rather than a PC user. I know usb c allows faster data transfer but what relevance is that to charging a controller? I genuinely don’t know. Also, you can use the current elite with a PC and there is no Bluetooth so why is Bluetooth important? Again, I genuinely don’t know. I also don’t know about Project Scarlet.
If you can explain it for me I can hype it when I do the review :)
So let me premise this by saying that Type C will be the defacto standard going forward, so building a $180 controller with its predecessor might be seen as irresponsible. Other advantages include 24 pins for more functionality, on average around 100W of power delivery (at least 60W), it is reversible, and it is more durable. There are other advantages to Type C that would not necessarily affect a gaming controller, but we don't know where the future will take us. We just need to be set up for it if we are paying top dollar.
Saying that you can use your original Elite controller with a PC isn't wrong, but it is misleading. You can connect your original Elite controller if: (1) You use a usb cable, (2) You use an Xbox Wireless enabled PC where the adapter is built into the motherboard, or (3) You purchased the adapter ($25 I believe) sold separately. Microsoft has aspirations in the future for a world where all PCs are Xbox Wireless enabled, but as of today that is not the case. Project Scarlet is a game changer. Game anywhere on almost any device by streaming them form the cloud. This would obviously require Bluetooth. Once again, if you are spending almost $200 on a peripheral don't you want it as compatible as possible?

Yeah, I saw a hands on and there was one dome and one tall. Shame to lose 2 sticks.
Never thought about the backwards compatibility aspect on the new elite.
Brian Perez it was literally the first thing I thought after I noticed we don’t get two dome sticks 😂 I hope it does, I don’t want to spend the time getting used to using one dome 🙄
The fact that they took out two talls and two domes is so dumb in my opinion
They probably researched and found not many people used them both. Or they are just following Razer’s lead (the Wolverine comes with just 1 tall and 1 domed stick too)

More interested in Elite 2.0. I may look at the prestige but I haven’t heard a lot of good things about it.
Any update on the wolverine ultimate? Just ordered and from reading reviews its edges the elite as a competitive controller, do you agree?
I hope to have the review up next weekend. Bit late for you though... so, without giving spoilers... I would agree it is competitive with the Elite. I prefer it to the Scuf.

Will it work with Ps4
Not officially but there is a workaround to make the series 1 elite work on PS4 so it could be possible. However, they are now using Bluetooth in the series 2 so it may no longer be an option. I’m sure someone will work out a hack if they really want to make it happen.

Worth the $. Better then playing on a base controller.
Bluetooth is nice for PC.
The usb c is nice because it’s more durable. When using my elite controller on my pc the micro usb wore out and barely works now. So I had to buy their USB adapter.
