Looking at the diagram on the Iron website there only appears to be minimal heating elements on the back side of the glove, with most on the palm side. What are they like on the back, or outer, side, which is the more likely to be subjected to cold winds while riding?
How do you know if they are quality? Do they carry the CE rating? Quality for me is based on longevity and proper materials. Give a review after a month of using this product and as far as material is concerned, any gloves made in a textile is never as good as leather. Two things will hit the road first, your head or your hands.
I see the CE mark appears on several pieces of literature accompanying the gloves, but as another viewer has already commented; have they been tested to European Standard EN 13594:2015 and certified by a Europe or UK based certification body (as has been a legal requirement since 21 April 2018)? Another Chinese brand, which was also offering journalists and RUclips influencers free gloves in return for a review, has recently had all its products delisted on the UK Amazon site, with Trading Standards and the Office for Product Safety and Standards involved, for failing to meet its legal obligations. Who contacted you to offer you the gloves? The other Chinese brand was using a UK-based PR agency.
Excellent review thanks for that, please can you let us know what size you got and if they are a size that your other gloves are ie I wear XL rst so would XL version of these ones fit. Always looking out for warm gloves as I ride all year round 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Morning Dave, while these gloves look great value, according the web they are NOT CE rated !! which is why I would not buy them for motorcycle use but would consider them for walking etc..
@@user_78637 I would always advise riders not to buy bike safety gear off the internet , chances are it could be fake poor quality tat even though it looks the part . Always best to go to a proper motorcycle clothing dealer & look the kit over first hand even if it costs a few bob more .
You’re the second RUclipsr I have seen plugging these heated gloves. Like the other tech gubbins they appear to be doing the rounds. Looks like it’s your turn to help them flog a few pairs . I don’t use heated stuff myself , but at least these gloves have their own batteries . The thing I would question is how they would hold up , to the forces involved in an RTA , as against a pair of good qualify normal motorcycle gauntlets .
@@thebingleywheeler I would like to see somebody like that bloke from Bennett’s do a thorough test on them , to see how they stand up . Looking the part doesn’t mean they won’t fall apart in the event of an RTA . Even TMF is having a turn & plugging them by the looks of it, just as as Xmas happens to be approaching . 😎💷
@@maskedavenger2578 Is he? you sure TMF is normally quite particular about what he advertises especially when it comes to safety gear, sure he used to do the Keis stuff. I doubt he'd advertise these things.
@ depends on the gloves, battery ones have bulky cuffs ( I have a pair) and wired ones require connecting and disconnecting every time you get on or off the bike and I’d forget every time, so for me heated grips are better, no need to remember to charge or connect, and less hassle to put gloves over your jacket. I also have a set of Goldtop windstopper lambswool gloves which together with the heated grips keep my hands very toasty.
@sergentcolon1 ergonomically yeah I agree they can be picky, but the same goes for heated grips. In terms of actual heat output & the coverage of heat, good heated gloves beat good heated grips every time
The Audio quality is fabulous on the bike, you can hear every mechanical movement in the engine, its so good if you were riding the new bmw 1300gs you would not hear you talking, over the top end rattle, which i believe is twice as bad as out going 1250gs.
@timparish172 Well know fact, noisy top ends at low rpm started with 1200LC,s 1250,s got worse, and 1300,s on a different level, obviously bmw engineered it into them for durability at this stage. Many documented cylinder head replacement on 12,s and less on 1250,s, but it's early days on them, let's see how 1300,s fair.
@hectorshouse7348 God, I hope you are not one of those annoying people that ends a sentence with nervous laughter. From your past written comments, it seems you are.
Hi, these gloves seem pretty good. Are you able to tell when the batteries are charging/fully charged (via a green - red indicator light or something similar) or is it just a guess by charging times ? PS. Following this and your previous video I was going to remind you that Scotland also gets cold, wet and miserable weather until I saw the post from the Canadian biker , proving that relatively speaking, we in the UK mostly have to deal with "inclement weather". Already been out in flooding conditions and just above freezing. Roll on spring 🌞🏍️
Would be interesting if you could do another review in use in a couple of weeks time. Do you wear a heated vest, as I am also looking to buy a heated vest as well? Cheers
Hi Dave do you have the product No of the heated gloves in the video please (me soft southerner pinkies are feeling the cold these days) thanks Tony. Really enjoying the videos 😊
There is not enough power available on any motorcycles to keep me warm in the winter here in Canadas capital. -30 deg C and a couple of feet of snow put a damper on any thoughts of winter riding.
It has CE on the labels, so I'd be intrigued to know what that relates to 👀 (although we all know if the info is hard to find then it's likely non-existent)
Trading Standards and the Office for Product Safety and Standards have recently intervened and another Chinese brand’s heated motorcycle gloves have been delisted from Amazon’s UK site because they had not been independently tested and certified as required by law since April 2018. That Chinese brand had retained a UK-based PR agency to contact journalists and RUclips influencers to offer free gloves in return for a review.
The Office for Product Safety and Standards has stated the following, “Promoting a product as an influencer through an affiliate link would be covered by the CAP Code and ASA consider it an ad.” So RUclipsrs who promote non-conforming motorcyclists’ clothing could find themselves in hot water.
Can you send this Video to the GLW's phone please. Christmas is on the horizon and she sent me a link to a scent that was 50 large for 30 ml on special offer, a typically unsubtle hint.. Motorcycling is an indulgence in her book of course but even she may accept those numbers. 😉
Are they heated down the backside of the fingers or only palm side? Makes a big difference.
Back on mine

Sadly I don’t think so
These sound great for the price. I followed the link, but there is 4 pairs for sale. Which pair of the 4 are these?
Go well with heated grips on low😊
