Ironically, this was Roseanne's only song to hit the Top 100... but it was also her first Country #1 hit. She had TEN total in the 80s. One I might recommend is "My Baby Thinks He's a Train"... if there's ONE Roseanne song that will make you say "Yeah, that's Johnny's daughter", it's that one. I'd also recommend you add "Walk the Line" to your movie list. It's a great biopic of Cash's life.

Her and her dad weren't getting along all well back then, she cut a song called Tennessee Flat Top Box and found out later that Johnny had cut it years before. They were both at the Grand Ol' Opry one night, not talking, when he was on stage and asked, in front of the entire crowd, if she would come out and do this song with him. Rosanne Cash is a great singer-songwriter in her own right. Some of her songs include - 'I Don't Know Why You Don't Want Me,' 'Never Be You,' 'Tennessee Flat Top Box,' 'This is the Way We Make a Broken Heart,' 'Runaway Train,' and 'Closer Than I Appear,' among so many others!!!

"It Hasn't Happened Yet", "Pink Bedrooms" and her cover, along with Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Cplvin, of Dylan's "You Ain't Goin" Nowhere" at Madison Square Garden in 1992 for the all-star concert celebrating Bob Dylan's 30th year anniversary. Johnny Cash introduces them and gives Roseanne a kisso on the cheek and these 3 women sound so great together. With all the stars there that night, this was one of my favorite performances on a night of great performances

Roseanne Cash's music is a keen example of 1980s country music. I agree it had a more pop sound in much of the music. Roseanne remains a beautiful and very talented singer who enjoyed a number of great hits.

I love Rosanne. I own all of her albums. Great songs. Beautiful voice. She is so underrated. Next up please do a reaction to my favorite singer Kelly Clarkson. Try Meaning of life (Nashville sessions version) or her stunningly beautiful rendition of I will always love you from the ACM awards.

Rosanne was instrumental in helping renovate her father's boyhood home in Dyess, Arkansas. She recently received an honorary doctorate from Arkansas State University and the university maintains that house and historical displays in the town. If anyone is ever in the Memphis area just take a 45-minute drive NW to Dyess and see Johnny's boyhood home and how the Mississippi Delta influenced him and his family members like Rosanne.

She was a national treasure just like her dad. The song Tennessee Flattoo Box written by her dad was what kucked off her career and shes dressed in classy classic black like Johnny.

Roseanne is from Johnny's first marriage. Very talented singer and songwriter. This is classic 80's country music that never gets old. Others to check out is Patty Loveless, Pam Tillis, Martina McBride, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Trisha Yearwood, and for more of a bluegrass sound Allison Krause.

Rosanne Cash is one the best female vocalist around, independent of her father Johnny Cash. Her catalog of songs is extensive and covers not only country but many other styles. She is also great in concert and like Lorrie Morgan, a credit to her father's legacy.

This song may be the one most are familiar with and showcases her upbeat style nicely. My favorites of hers are "My Old Man," about her father, "Second to No One", and my 101st favorite song of all time, even higher than any of her dad's, "Blue Moon with Heartache." She wrote them all herself. Listen to these when you can.

Her then-husband, singer/songwriter Rodney Crowell (see album Diamonds and Dirt), helped her in writing this and many more of her hits. Most or their hits in the 80's were written from their rocky, but loving relationship.
