One dragon lifted its gaze to the sky and became the mountains.
I saw somebody else say one of the other lines, but this one actually fits Shara, the entire part about it "lifting its gaze to the sky" is something that we actually see Shara doing in it's fight.
Shara is 100% one of the dragons of the creation

This is my favorite end boss, not because of difficulty but because of the grandeur and epic second phase of this fight.,I did not expect I was going to fight some elegant, grotesque and creepy elder dragon with such pulse pounding music like this..
It's not only an Elder Dragon, it's one of the 5 creation dragons.

@@alexandrucalciu4806 I don’t think he is one of them. The 5 are known through legends. Xeno and Safi were so new that the Commission had to give them a name.
@@jakomioftherose2434 Shara wasn't known either. First time you fight it, it is has "???" insted of its name. Abd the name Shara Ishvalda was given AFTER you fight it. Since it was a legend and now really saw them, no one can identify them. And Safi has many things that lead him to being one of them.

Meanwhile, Shara Ishvalda has lived centuries and learned how to vibrate its wing tips into the ground to hastily turn solid rock into sand. That's awesome.

God help us all if that's why it's missing in Iceborne. If this is what Shara is like, I'm already hyped and terrified for our latest Black Dragon's eventual resurface.

there is something so disturbing about sahra ishvalda, his first form, as he's encased in stone, an unknown beast of strange power, and as it releases from the stone it has soul piercing eyes as if it's looking at the player with it's hand like wings itching the ground and shooting beams of unknown power
It's a wind power
It is actually looking at the player, used thw camouflage coat and stay bery far away from shara and used that vision mode to get next to its eyes and shara was actually looking at him and not the hunter, the eye tracked him everytime even when the hunter mounted shara
I think its safe to say Shara Ishvalda is actually blind. Heck this guy can fight you with his eyes closed. The eyes that he got there is for seeing through other dimensions/realms. So yeah he is actually looking at you.

He is blind, but the eyes don't see you; it just looks like it. Spending so much time underground has caused his eyes to deteriorate to being functionally blind. Since his eyes don't have anything to focus on, the eye muscles wander around at random in their sockets, and those movements just so happen to resemble Shara staring into your soul.
@@tackey8632 I doubt its random. As he is ALWAYS looking at the camera no matter how you move around, even when knocked down.
The moment I saw his fleshy spider leg wings emerger from the stone form I was grossed out. I thought I’d be fighting a spider elder dragon. Then, all of a sudden a Hindu root god emerges from the dust. The way it’s eyes are after you break it’s face, I think, makes me think a fall from grace. Going insane to fight a foolish mortal.
I love how the mountains slowly collapse around you as the fight progresses. They didn't need to put that in, but it makes it so damn good.
The temple bells in the background just make it sound so ethereal and creepy. I love it

Reminds me of majora's mask, they're piercing, and they give a sense of madness and hate.

I don't know what you're talking about... I had fun through the whole fight. I mean finger wings here was pretty refreshing for me... Just because he's a slow tank at first doesn't make him boring.
What's freaky is that it's eyes seem to not focus on your character but directly at you through your screen no matter what angle of the camera you're looking from. Or is that just me?
Probably intentional. The masks this thing's face is based on have the same effect.

When Shara bursts from its shell into its true form and those drums and Hindu-sounding themes begin to play, I knew I was in for one hell of a battle.

Apparently, to make it even more freaky, its eyes don't look to the player character, but directly at the camera itself as if to be staring at you.

I still haven't beaten this mad lad but it's been helluva fight that I can't get mad at. From the music to his looks Shara Ishvalda really nailed his fight on the head, and I can even say he's up in my favorite monsters with seething bazel and valstrax
Stay on the tail, he has very few moves that can hit you there

Shara Ishvalda has the best fighting theme in the entire seires
I wouldn't go as far as that... D(h)isufiroa from MHF:G2 is an absolute banger, so is the rest of the OST in F:G2
The fight of Shara in armored form is easy as hell, and then it's remind me that it's an elder dragon the moment 0:11 kicks in.
As a veteran of the Monster Hunter series, (I've played every game since Tri.) I can safely say that Shara Ishvalda is the single hardest monster that I've ever fought. (Not counting Behemoth) This is the first monster that I consistently fail more than kill.
Epic theme too
As a veteran of Monster Hunter World I can safely say that anyone who says Shara Ishvalda is the toughest monster is an unskilled nobody that shouldn't be listened to.👍
When it first opened its eyes it threw me off so hard lmao

This ☝ literally was a bit closer to my screen when engaging him for the 1st time.....but as soon as he 'woke up' to see the world around him, it startled me so bad I receded about a good mile away from my TV screen.....like dude actually looks at YOU.....YOU. 😨

You can't hear it because only Shara can.
The use of the chinese trumpet highlights the manic danger in the fight. Plus the bonang and/or gamela xylophone just adds an eerie tention to the whole fight giving it a supernatural feel.
This, and frontier G's desert have to be the two best desert themes from this series ever, if you count this for a desert theme

Honestly, I wouldn't even call them wings. They ARE giant, extra fingers that shoot vibration waves.
Wings in the animal kingdom basically are just hands and fingers. The developers didn’t really have to try to get this effect,

I get the feeling this is what Xeno’jiva would of developed into if we didn’t hunt it in it’s infancy, since both monsters seem to mess around in the Everstream 🤔
Xeno isn't a baby it's a fully grown adult
@@comandercarnis There's actually more evidence in Xeno'jiiva's infancy starting with how it handles itself in a battle. It's clear that it doesn't actually know what it's capable of throughout the hunt.
@@crazy13alex it's not a baby but rather the hunter likely interrupted or caught just as it was finishing it's metamorphosis in it's cocoon. None of us fight well when just got out of bed.

No Xeno is a baby as dude said earlier....note that Xeno Arch is what an adult form looks like if it escapes the Everstream..

use glider mantle, grapple with clutch claw and then jump of, you will float

MHWorld is really getting some quite big monsters, this thing looks like it’s out of Xenoblade X ( also note when I say big I don’t count siege monsters because they’re quite different from regular monsters )
Dalamadur isn't a seige and is much larger. Ironically it's also larger than every siege monster, like Dah'Ren Mohran and Lao-Shan Lung. Shara is pretty on par with Fatalis or Ukanlos/Akantor in size
the slunch I said siege but really I meant giant monsters that feel more like boss fights than monsters, dalamadur may not be a siege monster but he definitely works as one

Every good monster design should make the player say “WTF IS THAT THING?!” The first time they see it and Shara is no exception.
I'm actually excited for AT Shara whenever that comes out. The gamma set is sure to look awesome and given the improvements from normal to AT Xeno, well, it'll be an experience to be sure.
usually i hate at monsters but yeah shara its to cool and i really hope his set its broken af couse right now its not so usefull but looks amazing
@@LuxZoltan I mean, the set has some points in useful skills like coalescence and critical boost, so with the right distribution and slots, a gamma version could be worthwhile. Plus, if the armor is efficient enough to justify a full set, gaia's veil is a strong set bonus. The set as is just isn't quite strong enough to justify use even with gaia's veil though.

it an amazing theme tho it just surpassed nergigantes theme for me the drums combined with the xylophone? and the notes that play at 0:19 just fit so well together and the other instruments are amazing to
Actually they are tubular bells, I have spent a lot of time in Smt 4 and now I can differentiate between a xylophone and tubular bells
This beast is the personification of the Darude Sandstorm joke.
Xeno'jiiva was definitely cool and a bit creepy, but in the end...it did kinda fall into that generic "neon glowy alien kind of thing" category. Both of it's themes are okay, I especially like the heroic feeling in phase 2.
But oh my god, did they knock it out of the fucking park with this one. The first phase is a bit slow for sure, but the build up when you're whittling that stone shell away bit by bit is worth it when this....thing emerges from it. Suddenly you've gone from a weird stone sphinx looking thing to...seriously, whatever the hell this is, shooting some kind of vibration beams at you from it's creepy wing fingers.
And then you realize it's eyes aren't following the player character. They're following *you*.
Shara literally breathes on you and it’s an unblockable attack for 50% of your health.

Nope, there's only 2 phases
Bananu Slammu Technically there are three phases; his golem form at the start, his naked form with his eyes shut, and then he opens them and all hell breaks loose. He doesn’t actually start to make sand until he opens them.
It’s more like Phase 1, Phase 2, then Phase 2.5
When you faint there is another theme that plays, very similar to this one

How on earth do you fight this thing with a bow?! I tried and always ran out of time! It just didn’t do enough damage for me.
you've probably done it already, but if you're still having trouble, aim for the wings and use an ice bow since he's weak to that. and constantly be aggressive, only run for a bit if you have to heal

I think it's completely unrealistic to expect to be spoiler free with a release that is 5 months late if you follow anything related to MonHun in any way, shape or form - directly or indirectly. You got spoiled today, but you would've been spoiled 2 weeks from now anyway, or a month when no one will be considerate of spoilers anymore, or any period of time between now and Q1 2020.
